Well I'm also QUICKLY running out of space on my bookshelves and yet I dont hesitate to buy more 😆 I dont know what I'm going to do with that just yet lol
Thank you for great ASMR-videos, enjoyable books and happy summer! I have always had the same, that I buy and loan from library new books even if I haven't read the earlier ones. Normally they are about sports and mainly non-fiction, but still it is the same phenomenon. Buying books means for me also supporting industry, because I want that there are market for books in the future. I have now been accustomed to read also e-books for getting information, it is not different from reading internet articles. But in fiction I prefer printed books, even if they take more space in the room. Often the books I read are in English, because everything written can't be translated in Finnish. About fiction, I wanted to read first books in Orson Scott Card's Ender-series in English, even if they are translated in Finnish, because I wanted to take time with the original version.
I searched for literally two weeks straight for an original 1900 edition of Svartedauen by Theodor Kittelsen and finally found a copy the other day! It was the hardest book I've ever tried to find. Great channel by the way. If there's any books you can't find let me know perhaps I could help you out. 👻
I like buying from small Czech retailers, I buy a lot of English books as well and since reading in English got really popular here, I can find them everywhere (even in real life bookstores these days). I don't use Amazon cause the shipping is too expensive here. I find new books usually on Instagram from random posts, or I watch a few booktubers (BookswithEmilyFox is my favorite at the moment). I use Goodreads only to track my progress, I usually don't find new books there.
