I would like to share my thoughts because something popped into my head
on the occasion of the progression of 251 which is typical in jazz.
Currently, I am stylistically unlimited and I listen to all kinds of music :)
even that heavy but not heavy metal which is relatively light
I mean I listen to heavy metal but I mean something much heavier
like DEATH METAL etc :D anyway
playing jazz, we have progress and create a solo
but playing heavy sounds like death metal we have riffs
In my opinion solo for chord progression it's easier than for riffs
because when we have a riff (that itself is like a part of solo)
how to play solo for "solo"/riff?
Where to start learning this topic?

Tim, as a beginner guitar player who's just learned how to play from beginner tutorials online, would I get much benefit from your Truefire course? Is the content more catered to the intermediate/advanced level, or can someone with a very rudimentary understanding of guitar and music theory gain useful knowledge from your videos?

    • @TimLerchGuitar

As Tim said the Melodic Triads course is great for beginners. If you know your triads you automatically know 75% of your 7th chords (got that from Mick Goodrick).

Hi David, I think the guitar is a Yamaha NTX. Tim released a recent (April or May 2022 or thereabouts) UA-cam video reviewing the Yamaha NTX1 and I think perhaps this is it. I hope it is because it sounds lovely, and based on Tim's review I bought one at the weekend, £329 from PMT online in Portsmouth, UK. It really is a lovely playing instrument straight out of the box, both acoustically, or through an acoustic amp.
