It always anger me if children asked money from people. But I appreciate you for not giving them any. These street children were told that foreigners are easy money, because some foreigners would toss a dollar like nothing. Teaching these children to be beggars. Thank you for being different. High respect to both of you. Anyway, please be careful always, and enjoy your exploration.

You should definitely hire a guide when exploring historic areas like Chinatown and Intramuros. Old Manila Walk tours are one of the well known tour guides that can guide you to the best restaurants, attractions and historical areas in the city. Also can’t believed you missed out on another mall tour when Lucky Chinatown mall is just under your noses at some point. Their foodcourt have authentic Chinese food stalls too. Binondo Chinatown was actually created by then Spanish Governor of Philippines to segregate the Chinese immigrants and traders in Manila to be able to keep an eye on them and to easily convert them in Catholism too. The Churches you have seen dates back to Spanish colonial times. The fancy Chinese Deli you saw is a famous old Filipino-Chinese chain. They have the best savory and sweet hopia in town.

You guys are brave enough to visit some places in metro without any guide. At least, you experienced what it look like here, everything the people, the places, and the foods of the Philippines. Thanks, you are not that judgemental about us. We have so much to offer for you as tourists. Remember always, we were also colonized by your country before that's why we speak your language too. Good luck to your vlogs i enjoyed it.

I'm sad you're not getting the full experience of the food that you're eating. A lot of the food you're eating, you're not putting any condiments on them. Always ask diners beside you how to eat a certain food and if they need to have condiments partnered with a certain dish.

Like some people mentioned here before...don't be afraid to ask the locals (including the servers) on how best to eat food that you order. You're missing out on fully experiencing Filipino cuisines. Use the dipping sauces, the calamansi, etc....And if you do not enjoy it after eating how the locals eat, that is fair enough too. At least, you tried it the Filipino way 🙂
But I'm enjoying your vlogs on your trip so far. Stay safe as well.

Hi Guys! Hope you enjoyed exploring China town in Binondo, Quiapo, except for the pollution of course. I hope you clean your noses as they tend to gather black dust from being exposed to bad air every time. By the way, I noticed you don't use condiments much with your meals. Sometimes, you can do without them, but most Filipino/Chinese dishes taste even better when incorporated with sauce. Like for example, those noodles you had (Pancit bihon/ pancit canton), they were served to you with calamansi (cross between lemon and lime) and soy sauce, on the side (others also supply fresh chilis). They need to be mixed together and then you just scoop a bit with your teaspoon and sprinkle it on your noodles or any savoury dish. Do try if you fancy next time, just so you can experience the full flavour explosion of a dish in your mouth and discover the difference between original/plain and with use of condiments. Stay safe!

as someone who has always taken foreign guests/tourists to walking streets like binondo, quiapo, malate and "poorer"/messier parts of metro manila, I'm pretty stoked about the fact that the biscuit boys have gamely explored these areas themselves, because not many tourists would, and clearly most filipinos seem happier that tourists only see malls and the typical tourist areas.
I don't deny that there's a risk for pickpockets and scammers, but those people are everywhere around the world. I wouldn't encourage newbie/naive travellers to explore these areas alone of course, but clearly the biscuit boys are more experienced travellers already. It's ironic even that out of all the places they've explored, they got pickpockted in a mall and not in one of these "dangerous" places people keep telling them.
and here's the thing. I don't blame some folks. as a provinciana, I too was constantly told that these places are dangerous. But after living in metro manila for over 13 years I've found out that it's never as dangerous as they say it is. if anything, the people that warn me against these places have never actually frequented the area.
long rant, but to conclude, keep on exploring boys! I love how you guys are exploring manila better than most filipinos. but yes, just keep safe and stay vigilant!

Really enjoyed your walking / food escapade. Just don't mind that one comment below on what one street kid told you. These kids are from the depressed area and they do not have represent most of the kids here in Manila. I know that you don't do research prior but I wish you made an exception to Binondo because I can see from the video that you missed a few really wanted places to eat like the presidents. You mentioned that the restaurant you went to is old 1940 but what you did not know is that in Binondo you can find the oldest restaurant in the Philippines, TOHO ANTIGUA RESTAURANT, existing since 1866 and to date is already 156 years old. If you get the chance to go to Binondo again I highly recommend that place. Really lots of fantastic places to eat in Binondo. Cheers 🥂

You should dip that Dumpling in the Sauce. There's King Chef Seafood Restaurant at Lucky Chinatown Mall in Binondo, Manila that serves delicious foods.

I'm not skipping ads to show my support to our favorite biscuit bois. 🤗👍🏽. Don't be offended with those rude street children. Never mind them. Stay safe always.

Seemed like you missed a lot when you explored the Chinatown. If I remember it right, there are a lot of food and resto suggestions in one of your vlogs when it comes to Chinatown food tour. I even suggested too haha. There’s a clip in your video that you passed by the Shanghai fried siopao house - tourists love that place. Also, I haven’t seen you quite interacting w the locals. Ask and the locals will be more than happy to help. 🙂

Agree. It's frustrating that they dont feel like asking locals. We speak English, c'mon!

You should have used the "calamansi" (green lemons) and sprinkle it in the bihon/pansit as it will enhance the flavor.
