Your controller is connected with the usb c cable option or the bluetooth?. Which one response faster and has less imput delay?
USB C is typically the better option for less input delay, just like how a wired connection serves better connection than an unwired one

With the new hitting feature? Does it take away from the attribute of truculence? Like, in other words, is there no Difference in effect of hitting?
1. Is circle (Shoulder hit) the same as down and up with the analogue stick?
2. With regards to pulling back the stick! If you are hitting a guy on your right for instance do you go Left then Right with the stick? It’s not always Up / Down or Down/Up, right?
this is actually amazing. i was confused on why my players would just glide into the opponents I would try to hit as I was not pulling back on the stick first. love the simple yet effective tip man

hitting in 24 just doesnt feel as satisfying as before, really disappointing.
Feels so much more satisfying because it actually takes time good position etc you can't just run around w gold truc mindlessly destroying everyone because you can literally just hold your right stick up

@@castonguayjulie1976 It was awful anyone using gold truculance could literally just hold up on their right stick and smoke you because it was lock you on. Hitting was so easy it was broken
We need the big vibration on the controller when you lay a crushing check, but I find it hard to time my checks, I’m a beginner to 24 but I’m quite experienced with the regular controls
@@owenposer6720 You will find the sweet spot each situation kind of depends on the angle it's harder to practice against the AI since their movement is much different than a real player just go into ones or threes elim and you will figure it out
I liked the hybrid controls which they still should have offered.

I can’t stand these controls at all. The fact they don’t give us the option to pick another setting is more frustrating. Might go back to 23’. These controls frustrate me so hard

Man, so good to know. I jumped back into NHL after not playing a game for a LONG time and just felt like the hitting was weak. Didn't know you had to pull back before pushing up. Excited to try it out tonight.

This new game is terrible for new players. Makes it harder to grow the game it’s not as inviting anymore
I disagree honestly - they made a new control system to make it as easy as possible for new players to be able to do anything they wanted
What they DIDNT do is have a tutorial explaining everything
But if you're a new player, it's never been so easy to be able to pick it up and play any way you want

I disagree too. Finally a New game. We gotta adapt but i like thats its more about timing and speed rather then L2 and hold the puck forever and glitch goals. We got smoked but i see where we are going and it Will be fun when we master the new controls. Love it.

Thank you much. Honestly, I'm having way too much fun with this now that I understand it. It's nice to have a range of physicality, a greater risk/reward aspect, and the highlight reels don't suck either. Big improvement, IMO.

When you hit, do you just push down and then up or do you push in the direction of the player you are trying to hit like pushing down and then to to the left to hit a player who is to your left?
Down and up always
Left stick to control positioning
Seems awesome, I have always wanted this kind of tackling into the game! Every new thing is a plus to the franchise when you have literally learned everything, even the bugs and how the game works, I might have to unretire and buy NHL after 3 year hiatus

Good video. OK, question: I get you load back then explode through the hit as your backing up but what about big hits on guys trying to come around the net? If I load the hit backwards how does that work a the hit direction is already backwards?
You use your left stick to position yourself, to hit it's always back and up

Helped a lot! Now, if only there was a way to stop being forced into fights or roughing penalties after every single big hit.

Hitting was never about holding your elbow out unless you plan on only playing rookies and getting penalties. Truthfully hitting always took a lot of skill when playing good players and sweats as there have always been a lot of ways to "avoid" hits by using the inane coding of the game. It got better in 22 when a lot of it was fixed but that caused hitting to become too easy so everyone complained and it got nerfed again in 23. 24 takes it to a whole new level of stupid by removing hybrid controls but thankfully enough people got on EA and now its coming back this month.
Anyway of putting protect the puck, back to just clicking x
You also get a speed boost when you pull back on the right stick

useing circle and the hipcheck with square is so awesome but the computer sees it coming it it pisses me off. those hipchecks are so fun

Makes sense when hitting someone going up, but do you have to pull up then down if you’re hitting someone going down, or is it always down then up? Or side to side?
Always up and down

So after 2 weeks I hope you see this but why is it that every 2nd time I throw a hit I get a charge but my opponent can come from there side of the ice and never take a charge is there something to I'm doing wrong or is the damn game broken cause it's getting out of control
Glide into your hit, don't skate into it

The best way to throw hip checks on skill stick is to press R3 FIRST and then L1. It will work every single time and you will never accidentally take a knee
Never have an issue leading in with L1 and then holding R3, its my preferred choice
Thrasher have you noticed your guys being gassed quicker? I feel like my guys are always gassed quicker than my opponents even when I am playing passive
how do you protect the puck now since the "x" button is reverse hitting?
Hold L3 and move your right stick which way you wanna protect

anyone else having trouble changing forward lines with total control scheme, the right cursor is unresponsive many times for me, however left cursor for changing d-men is working properly.
Same here I was going crazy Left one r one change the lines last year this year I couldn't figure out
I'm really hating the controls. I didn't know I had to treat it like a slap shot. Also the defend the puck has f...Ed me up so bad. I'm so used to holding x which has now been replaced as a counter hit. Then dumping the puck is very weak now.

New control scheme is a single button (circle)
Anyone know if you can cancel a hit like if im holding O "I'm on ps5" am I able to cancel a hit the way you can cancel a pass? Or do I have to throw a hit on the air to cancel?
Yeah I think once you press the button, you have to throw it
If you were using the right stick you can cancel by just not flicking up

I feel like I am not rewarded at all after landing a hit. They just pop right back up. I only get a winded get up like 3% of the time.

You can hit on hybrid by using circle or the right stick

Kudos to EA for keepin up their reputation of running franchises into the ground, they removed ("changed") one of the few fun things left in the NHL franchise
This helped but I’m still hoping they bring hybrid back😂😂

As a disabled gamer, I relied heavily on the simplified hybrid controls in order to play effectively. I am very disappointed that this was not an option at launch, as I am unable to play as a result.

It'll be back late March - I think it was removed because of all the changes to gameplay, and hybrid wouldn't be able to use majority of them - so now they have to figure that out
I know I’ve done something right cause in my first pre season game in be a pro I injured a guy and was relentlessly booed my the crowd the rest of the night 😂

So when this video was made, hybrid wasnt included in the game - hitting should be either Circle or B - or you can use the sticks like I show in this video

Issue just might be that you have to time it, pull back and right as you're about to make contact push forward - or hold down circle and let go right before you make contact

I used to be a goalie, but nhl 24 made me quit playing NHL for at least this year.
Fighting the control system instead of concentrating on the play in front of me got me to rage quit and im not usually a quitter!
Its alright I got more time to go skate now but still very disappointed to lose my friends and league games just because its now a game for 9years old trying to michigan everywhere.

They announced before the game comes out that the old controls will be in the game by end of October if you feel like coming back throughout the year!

Used to be fun af to hit on nhl23 i became fan of hockey because of this now its not fun to casual fans of hockey anymore
after playing for the year I can honestly say I prefer this way of hitting - I could never go back to the old way
Took a while to get used to, but it's way more satifying to lay people out now

This game has ruined defensive players compared the hitting is absolutely 10 times worse than it was. And you don't have the auto follow button for covering players with the puck for 7 Seconds automatically on defense

Now show how to do rebounds without hitting instead.... having both on the same button is insane (constant interference penalties). And no vision control makes no difference.
The dev answer was to only push up 1 time
If you spam it more than 1 time you will get a cross check animation
