thier music punches me in the heart. I get so lovesick feeling when listening to them. i wish I could have seen them play live back in the day. whenever I listen to them and close my eyes, its just like this show, the colors , the ambiance, its all just like this. i'm really rather amazed. its a cozy, dark safe-space in my head.
That's so cool that Laura is performed, one of my favorite Lush songs. Wow, no guitar solo on For Love. Maybe it hadn't been worked up at that point? I really appreciate all the songs that would become the Spooky album, my favorite album of theirs. I also see this performance was on October 11th on my birthday way back when. If only I could have seen them live back in the day.
no, Miki worked out the solo before she wrote the lyrics (the For Love demo is on the Origami box set, and it just has "do-do-do-do-do, do-do" etc instead of lyrics). maybe a string was broken or the solo just wasn't audible.
Imagine if this was a proper mix from the floor board, it would sound ten times better. I think they were at their peak here, artistically and physically. This was real 'dream pop'.
interesting, there are songs here from the spooky album but that wasn’t released until January 27th 1992. This was probably a low key gig prior to the national tour that followed that albums release. Thanks for posting.
This was part of the four night 'Lush Over London' gig series, which was part of a larger national UK tour to promote the release of the 'Black Spring' EP in October 1991
@@tsarkoye I made it to three of those London shows myself but also about 4 others from that run of shows (Cambridge, Colchester, Northampton and Bristol).

Never heard of this band until now
Check out my bloody Valentine
Never too late
The quality's crap, but this is an important snapshot of a place and time

I get chills from their guitar riff. And my wife also has a father from Hungary 😉
Very spooky that they sound just as good live as on CD. Miki is 24 years old here and perfect!🎉🎉
Steve Rippon on bass

@@riand329 I went to all 4 nights! I was such a groupie! LOL It ended with a show at New Cross way down south.

I saw them in Toronto in March 1991, and even then they played Ocean and one other song (maybe Covert).
