Pre existence of the soul in Judaism? Is that something they imported from platonic philosophy. I know Origen took the pre existence of the soul from platonic philosophy and then tried to find a scriptural proof text. It doesn't seem pre existence could be in Hebrew scripture although sometimes people try to find it in the verse or two of the hellenized book of wisdom
