- Today I go into precise detail on how I designed and installed a new Truck Camper Laser Alignment 2. My original laser alignment design worked great for about 10 years until I got my new truck. The new truck with heavy tinted windows and tall seats made seeing the laser for alignment very difficult. This new design allows complete visibility using my side view mirror and is even more visible in daytime lighting!

Like this one better then the old one. After seeing your first one, Build one out of a laser level like your using now. Made loading our Eagle Cap 1200 so easy. Will be building this one now. Thanks and keep the great ideals coming.
Fantastic idea. I built my own copy of your first laser system and it worked great. But now I have an EOG built flatbed. Much easier to load but if I needed a guide I'd build your v2 of this system.

Charles - YOU are the MAN! I had bought a green laser level but didn't really know how to go about setting it up. I am going to go by your directions ... and Thank You for showing everybody how to do it. I ordered the necessary products thru your Amazon Affiliate website. I copied your 1st design and used it with our truck camper. It worked really well, making it much easier to load. Version 2 looks to be even better!

I got my parts and made modifications to make the laser mount removable.
I used a Bull Accessories anchor p# 3000. A 1/4” pipe strap. A 10-24 1/2” screw and nut and a piece of rubber.
Lined the strap with the rubber and bent it around the anchor.
Screwed in the mount Charlie recommended.
Holds pretty solid when tightened down. Still allows for some adjustments.

I want to do this, new to truck camper and it takes me a good 30 minutes, on a good day to load, jumping in and out of the truck to check progress and sometimes having to attempt it 3 or four times 😡

how about attaching laser mt to stake pocket cover then buy extra cover to install when not in use
Great idea but on my truck the covers are really flimsy, and I mounted to the actual bed rail for more stability and to be further back to avoid hitting camper!
