Hegemon does not always go first. Supreme Galek's passive will allow him to cut in before hegemon if facing taras. Taras places fear before round starts. Supreme Galek's passive removes it and grants instant extra turn. almost never seen, but that is the only exemption i know of to hegemon's passive :)

There is a really sweet buff for Hedgy.....Sulfuryion... he strips stone skin with his unblocable hp burn. Get a Sulfurion and make him fast as hell. He's a secret weapon cuz he makes the meta whatever he wants it to be. And you can throw him in any team and he does the same thing...his revive is the best in the game with an extra turn so he doesn't miss a step. People haven't caught on yet but Sulfurion may be the best champion in the game...especially endgame arena. Go take a good look at him for a minute and some lights are definitely gonna start blinking. He's pretty nasty in hex set since his burn can't be blocked, stun and relentless are damn good too. I got him and now my Dutchess pretty much collects dust.

@bigpoppadrockrsl yeah, they built him to be a hydra god but that hp burn he has is one of the nastiest moves in the game. It completely strips stone skin and a big percentage of the damage becomes a shield on the entire team and it hits friggin HARD. He's also void so he gets the job done no matter what the affinity. I've never seen the burn proc polymorph either. He's one the best champs theye put out in a long time. If you put a stone skin set on him your whole team can get nuked and he revives and has extra turn then use hp burn and you entire team is back with a 50% shield without missing a beat
I still use nuke-hege for one of my 3v3 offense teams, i've always wondered if he could be viable if fully maxed. To be fair though he can be good still in live arena as ban-bait in lower gold tier. Anyway thanks for scratching this curiosity itch.

I run 2 Hegemond, Lydia, Cardiel. If anything survives the 2 nukes Lydia will block a revive and then the ally attack cleans up anything left.

Great video to showcase how big is the gap between certain champions. Even Leorius, a champion designed to destroy at low hp was hitting harder at full hp than Hege. Not fully geared Georgid was also better.
I think everyone agrees that Taras and Marichka need a nerf. It's just some of the krakens don't want their toys taken away. I don't understand why, they have to play against the same champions. You have to imagine it gets boring at some point, doing only one fight towards the top of plat. Maybe someone like the new mythical from Sintranos can deal with them at almost 2k base attack, if he has good multipliers. But even so, Polymorph will ensure no debuffs, so he doesn't ignore defense. And let's say they fix polymorph to a decent level, it will still take people 5-6 months to even get him.
I'm nowhere near Plat reset, only been playing for a year, I have none of the meta nukers and while I don't fight the top guys, I also don't have a fun time. I still encounter stoneskin and polymorph. Not at the same level but rng has fun with me and I loose random battles because of polymorph. Don't even get me started on 3v3. Even worse there. It's also limited on number of people, not percentage so Ramantu is out of the question for a free to play with a 1 year account. Unless instead of getting my 4 non-useful voids (Jingwon, ursuga, hege and belanor) I would have gotten some meta champions like taras, georgid.
I'm really glad you shared this feedback and it confirms some of my suspicions. Sometimes I'll get people who comment that Polymorph or Taras/Marichka are only problems for Krakens and Whales. Well I've never felt that way. I think they make the game worse for everyone. And it absolutely does get old fighting the same champs all the time because of Taras and Marichka being so broken. I'm really glad you see this and thank you for calling it out!!
Hegemon's multiplier flat out sucks and one must consider that he starts with much less attack than a conventional DPS which usually gets a 50% attack buff, and usually has a higher than 3.8 multiplier. Leorius for example hits 4x on the A2 and 3.85 on the A3 (while only marginally higher the skill places weaken before the hit which is an overall 25% multiplier on final number making it significantly stronger) and he gets his passive +1%/DMG:HP .
If a team can maintain around 3000 defence after accounting for savage+cruel, Hegemon is essentially useless.
This can be seen with some very simple math:
Let's assume Hegemon at 8k/313CD (this is our build), +30% books, 14% mastery (RL/BID)
For the opponent let's assume ~4000 defence, 8.75% mastery (IP/DD).
Damage: 8000 x 3.8 x 4.13 x 1.44 = 180,794 unmitigated
4000 defence - savage/lethal + cruel = ~70% mitigation
For mastery mitigation: 180,794 x 0.0875 = 15,819
For main mitigation: (180,794 - 15,819) x .3 = 49,492 HP
Just under 50k HP is all a champion running 4000 defence needs to survive a Hegemon nuke with the aforementioned stats.
This doesn't even include things like dutchess passive/stalwart set, adding her in, we can slash that number to 30k, everyone will easily survive, in fact your video shows situations much like what's described here.
He's not even viable at mid/high gold V where you start seeing low plat reset teams. Maybe gold IV if we're realistic. Against stone skin though, he's completely useless.
A simple buff would be to raise his multiplier significantly, maybe 4.5, and have him ignore defensive effects similar to Georgid's skill.
The same math at a 4.5 multiplier would lead raise the threshold from sub 50k HP at 4000 defence to survive to 60k HP, frankly, it's not that big of an improvement but stone skin piercing/defensive ignore will at least allow Hegemon to credibly kill DPS even if tankier supporters will survive. Our arbiter has 4300 defence and 78k HP at 400 speed for example. Back in the day, arbiters generally died to Hegemon, not anymore.

The fact that any champion built with those kind of stats is doong the damage it is to the duo is absolutely mind boggling to me. I get that theyre probably well built at that level but still.... I mean the duo is as were all well aware totally and utterly broken but he wasnt even really working in the high g5 bracket really. I mean im astounded that the double mari doesn't involve a perma res loop unless they are killed under block revive. At least they got 1 part of her kit balanced...... ish

TBH I think that the only thing that he needs is chang his pasive to mean literally EVERYTHING like before stoneskin before shield set literally the first thing that happens in a game is his turn.

Spent most of my time in Dragon and Fire Knight for sure. Also have bought some gear packs here and there though most of my stuff is farmed.

Build him! He's great in faction wars and some PVE content like Doom Tower. Occasionally useful in Arena especially if you aren't a whale or kraken like me 🐳
I was really lucky with hegemon I pulled him with 5 void shards I had and about a month later I pulled him again but this was before plus1 we was going through the wtf we do with all our dupe faze lol but I now have a plus 3 hegemon and I too feel he’s no where near as good which is a real shame because he’s a very good champ I think he needs something adding to his kit

Really would be nice to see Hegemon get a buff and become usable again in PVP. There are so many void legos that are completely useless and it's truly a shame. Void legos were supposed to be the cream of the crop, and now there are free login legos (non void) that are better than 90% of void legos (Wukong, UDK) and now mythical champions being added is yet another punch in the gut to players with a vault full of shit void legos. Go figure, plarium.

Thanks for the video drock! I don't have hegemon but I wouldn't mind picking one up. I think he's pretty bad in classic arena, but in live arena I think he has some usefulness and I see him from time to time in gold III. In particular to counter go first teams (think counterpick to shuzen+georgid).
P.S. I know you also hate quintus, but in my opinion he's one of the best nukers in the game for countering the other top meta nukers (taras, rotos, and harima in particular). I made a PvP showcase video for him yesterday you should check out ;)

He's just too subject to get polymorphed in Kraken arena and the lack of a Stoneskin strip is a deal breaker for me. Though you have some points about him being a good Rotos/Taras counter somewhat due to the A2 ignoring passives. Oh also a big thank you to your Sand Devil 25 video. Used that yesterday to make my first level 25 team haha!

I find him to be absolutely S tier in PvP dark fae and hydra. I think he's pretty much the best counter to taras that exists in the game at the moment. Certainly compared to any other nuker.

The most absolute shocking thing in the entire video was that even as insanely strong as you have hegemon built he still barely even tickled taras smh I thought for sure he would've at least done a little damage to taras but he didn't even get close to even cracking his shield. Really shows how absolutely overpowered he is & how drastically hegemon needs a buff. If he ever wants a chance at ever being relevant again. It's so sad because for the first couple of years, he was one of my most wanted voids, but when I finally pulled him earlier this year, sadly, he was a disappointing pull that went straight to the vault, and I haven't used him since smh

taras and harima vaulted every nuker. even if you have georgid today you are declining with the nukers that will be released soon or are already released because the kits are going so crazy. like gharol, the lizard mythical or new demonlord mythics (yes he is a sheep magnet)
healthy balance is when u lose and are 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 turns behind to change the match. 4turns is c tier meta. if oyu lose with 1 or lets say its 2turns because of bad rng you are atleast even with the nuking potential but this matches show that people are not even aware that they couldnt even kill taras and mara if they had infinite cooldownreset. if there was a gta cheat code "godmode" and you could use infinite skills you couldnt beat them if you dont have rotos/georgid or any other extra turn idiot nuker or shuzhen/allyattack.
Taras and Marichka really did screw the game up for sure. Though I'd like to breed Sun Wukong and Hegemon haha. Love that idea 😂

I liked when hegimon was meta. Against ai he would kill my low durability nukers then my cardinal in immunity would take extra tirn meter from their deaths she would revive and i would annihilate enemy teams. Was fun

Stoneskin might be the most stupid thing they add to the game. we already had a lot of RNG in the game with pulls/3% chance to ressist things etc but SS is on another level of RNG. its the one thing i wish if would be deleted from the game.

Great video indeed. This game is a joke.. when watching G4 and G5 arena is more entertaining to watch than Plat arena because at least you can create some funky synergy that work whereas Plat arena it’s always the same champs because there just no options… Plarium is a disgrace fr.

@@sieger358They shouldn’t make them the most powerful champs in the game for that. Or, actually more like they shouldn’t be overpowered compared to other champs and make them completely unviable. They should be very strong, but small nerfs like adding a cooldown on Marichkas passive or reducing Taras damage and atk reduction are basically needed, and would still have them as top tier champs.
