I loved everything about this video bro. I'm glad that you decided to get out of your comfort zone and test the car to its limits. I think that Leah performed amazingly and I promise you that the next time you go you'll be so much more prepared and hopefully the MK2 will be aswell. All the best with the 16valve and with getting the OG sorted. Thanks for the amazing vids man❤
Leah did well all things considered. I'm glad I did it. Now I want to go faster. But first let me fix it and get the stability under control. Lol. I'm pumped for the 16v. It's going to be fun to mess around with. Glad you enjoyed the video 🙌🏽
I wasn't really drag racing. Mentally I was not there for that. I just wanted speed even though it was a heads up event. Lol. My reaction to the light was pathetic. But now I know how the lights work for the next event so I'll be better prepared. That 4th gear is very long. When I looked at the logs, it looks longer than 2nd and 3rd combined. Lol. But just not long enough not to hit the limiter before the line.
I have nothing up my sleeve. I just roll with the punches. Need to see what's hurt and sort it out. Something has been up for a while so now we can sort it out 🙏🏽
I'll definitely be out to race 800m again. I'd like to do both. It's not every different. What applies to 400m will apply to 800m with slight tweaks. Just need to get the engine sorted for the additional strain the 800m puts on it. lol.
Well done sir! As I commented in the last video before, 224km/h, i was .94 off, damn! Be proud of your accomplishment, you did very very well believe it or not. Thank you kind sir. Yes 800 is very different. Very similar but different. I think it's the surface and the wind that messes you up big time. I'm keen to get those speeds up over time. That 224.9 is a good baseline. 🙏🏽
Well done Meneer, those are impressive times especially for your first time. You need big balls for 800m. These things happen, its all part of the experience. Hope you had lots of fun, cause I did

You don't have to miss me. I'll be there. Supporting from the sidelines. Lol. And after that 2nd run I was done but the guys had to talk me off the ledge. Lol.
Glad you enjoyed it. Yes let's see how bad it is. 2&3 is likely having a bad time. It would explain why the car was spooling later and not making the power it should have. It's a bitter sweet. Once it's fixed it should be way better than it was.
great experience. trying to analyse as best i can. 16 inch rim means nothing. tyre pressure maybe? considered 17 inch? torque through 3rd.... monstrous.... 4th gear frightning.....lol. i would like to do this someday but for now i get to watch you do it. thanks for another good video.
16" wheels with a tall tyre gave me more speed in each gear but it wasn't tall enough. So instead of trying to go taller, I'll run a smaller tyre with more grip so that I can get into 5th gear sooner. I'll need to rev way too high to get more speed out of 4th. A 17" would be much of a muchness. It's all about tyre diameter. I'm unsure about tyre pressure. I didn't want to go too low and cause drag and instability on top so I didn't go down too much. I'll need to experiment with this some more next time. I'm excited to learn how to go faster and I'll share my experience as best I can.
We did strap the wheels. But we didn't strap it tight enough the first time so the straps came loose. It slipped off the tyres. Figured it out the 2nd time round and it was solid.
800m with a NA car is probably a lot of fun. Less scary but it puts some serious strain on a motor. Just need to get the 16v oil breather system sorted and it will be good.
