Oooooo I luvvv Sar-el bigtime. Experience giving back to your Jewish roots keeping your heart connected o Eretz Yisrael. GREAT memories as I see myself in this video.. Thanx Steve.
Very possibly the most rewarding three weeks you'll ever spend. Come a week-end early and stay a week-end after your "hitch". See and feel the country, talk to the people (everyone speaks English) over a beer or a falafel. It'll change you and you'll love the change.
I had attempted to join Sar-El after being told about it. Right before my passport expired, and it was never renewed for a few reasons. It is mostly doing mundane jobs so that IDF aren't bogged down by them, correct? Among other things, it might not be as tough as a job as an overnight stocker I once had, or working in a reclaim center. That last one was grosssssss!
@@Taffnp Likely a cakewalk compared to working in a reclaim center. So many things infested with maggots, that to this day I hate the mere sight of. And once, a box I was sorting had a roll of toilet paper someone wiped themself with, and on top of THAT...

Yes it's mostly mundane jobs in rear echelon bases. Packing medical supplies, refurbishing equipment, sorting uniforms and organising store rooms.

And Tel Aviv is great city
Did you get any lessons in hebrew? Also, hows the hummus over there?
Yes basic hebrew. Hummus is fresh. Often make my own now and shakshuka
thanks: )
Can you keep the uniforms afterwards?
No only wear them while you are there. Can buy IDF uniforms and equipment froma shop in Tel Aviv central bus station
Steve Martin okay thank you but I don’t think I’ll do that because I think you can only wear it when you deserve it. But thanks🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱💙💙💙
@@Taffnp how much are the uniforms?
