Two songs to consider reacting to, for the high tenors are "When a Man Loves a Woman", where Austin takes the lead, and "End of the Road" where Rob primarily takes the lead. You'll know their names and faces in know time! Tim, their bass, has a five octave range, so be prepared to get shocked by some of the songs he does!
Hi Rob I'm a Home Fry. That's a big-time Home Free Fan. So glad you loved it. Watched a female reacter and she didn't like them at all. Keep listening and you will be amazed.
The high tenor you liked in the beginning is Austin Brown. The lead tenor (glasses and beard) is Rob Lundquist. The beatboxer is Adam Rupp or otherwise called "freak of nature" he is one of the founders of the group together with his brother Chris Rupp, baritone (usually wearing a hat). Chris left the group some years ago and was replaced by Adam Chance as baritone but given his range Chance covers bass whenever Tim takes the lead. You already know Tim Foust, he is a legit natural basso profundo (lowest of basses) that rattles chairs, and occasionally breaks sound systems when hitting really low and yes he has an incredible 5 octave range and can easily sing tenor. To easily learn their names look for Working for a Living - their names are stated there and it is a great example for the incredible sense of humor of these guys. Some of their videos are outright hilarious.
Like I said before, "End of the Road " spotlights the tenors, while still showing the incredible bass and beatboxing. They just released "Brothers In Arms" which is a bass lovers dream. It is hauntingly beautiful and the harmonies are off the charts. Loved your reaction and attention to detail.💗
Austin does When a Man Loves a Woman, and Rob Lundquist does End of the Road. Both gorgeous. Tim, Geoff and Avi have all worked together, so they have shared techniques, but each develops his own. Check out one of Home Free’s live concerts with Tim singing Your Man. One good one is from Morrison, IL. Tim sings low and high. Yes, Chris Rupp left the band (one of the founders), to go out on his one, although he still does some arranging, and Adam Chance (known as Chance, since they already had Adam Rupp) came in. Chance did the leads in Folsom Prison Blues.
No technique that makes them go lower. Tim has actually blown out a speaker at a county fair before. "Home Free Concert Morrison, IL 8/19/15 One of funniest concerts. Tim blows out sound system" by abby zee start at 6:17 minute marker.
Two of the best bass singers in one song, that's fantastic. A wonderful arrangement of Home Free. Austin's tenor is perfect. But Tim's low note makes up for it. Avi has a great voice, but Tim is my favorite. You can feel his bass too 💥 Great reaction!
Nice reaction. This was the 2nd song I heard when I discovered Home Free last year. It is done in a reggae calypso beat. It showcases the higher & lower ranges of both Tim & Avi. That last note of Tim is impressive with how low he goes, but more impressive is how long he sustains the note. When they performed this on the "Sing Off" show Tim goes even lower & he impressed the judges so much that they gave them a standing ovation. And Adam once again was stellar in his vocal percussion. Just a side note, Tim & Avi are both natural bass singers whereas Geoff is a baritone singer who has learned subharmonic tricks to get low.
Tim , Geoff and Avi are all friends and they have helped each other with their special low notes Tim is king of the Growl notes Geoff is the master of the Subharmonics and Avi has that smooth bass , you say that you like beatboxers if you want to see/hear Adam you should check out -- Adam Rupp drum/ beatbox solo but please pick one from 2019 most reactors pick the one from 2015 but he has improved so much . P.S. People say Adam eats drumkits for breakfast LOL
You've got it right, Avi, Geoff and Tim all have stunning, hell staggering ranges, four or five octaves. People seem to want to pit them against each other, but the truth seems to be that they are all friends. For the high voices, End Of The Road for Rob taking the lead and When a Man Loves a Woman for Austin, where Austin unleashes (no other word for it) the full power of his voice. Really enjoy your reactions!
Great reaction! Your comparison of three of the most talented basses in music presently is spot on IMO. Little mentioned fact, the three singers are ready to collaborate on each other's renditions. Geoff, for example, arranged HF's version of "Elvira," and Tim appears in VoicePlay's "Just sing." Avi also makes cameo appearances in other HF videos. All three artists are confident in their individual talent to show no ego :)
Home Free & Avi an amazing combo. Tim Foust has a 5 octave range. If you want to hear Tim in his top range react to Austin & Tim collab with the song My Maria, you'll love it.
You like Avi's beautiful voice, listen to his Change on the Rise (he does his own harmonies), Aberdeen, and Otherside. He's a very talented composer and a trained opera baritone. Tim has a really good voice that he can put a real edge in when he wants to. Like Geoff Castellucci, Tim and Avi have 4 to 5 octave ranges. Tim and Geoff are famed for the low notes and you're right, Avi is sooooo smooth you miss just how low he's sung. Tim uses subharmonics the most and as Geoff uses them, vocal fry, and growl (Tim taught him the growl technique). Listen to Geoff Far over the Misty Mountains by Geoff and he hits G1 three times and each time he uses a different technique. The note has the growl that Tim taught him.
Avi is actually a bass. He does sing baritone and up to low tenor but he talked about how he would not go back to opera because there are too few arias for basses.
Tim did a collaboration with fellow Acapella singer, Peter Hollens. Peter is known for singing songs from Lord Of The Rings movies. So he and Tim did "Misty Mountains" from The Hobbit movie. Tim does the bass and Peter the high notes. Peter edited the video and added over 120 layers of his high voice for a choir effect. It's a masterpiece!
Loved your reaction. I love Austin’s angelic high notes, Rob’s gospel feel tenor, but bass is what I love the most and this song features 2 of the best modern bass singers, or more accurately put, singers who can sing bass since both of these guys have a 5 octave range. Tim’s last note, G1, was felt all the way in Hell.
This is a much older song when yet you don't recognize is Chris Rupp the beatboxers brother who founded Home Free check out when Man Loves a Woman who has Austin is the lead-in for Rob should check out End of the Road Boyz II Men cover
The HF singer with the smallest range still has almost four octaves in his toolkit, so assigning them to parts is almost futile. Specifically, all four can go above C5 and below C2. Brown's range reaches D6, and Foust can get down to least A0.
I just found your reaction to HF. There's so many times that Tim - super bass - has blown out subwoofers during shows, which Avi has as well, but Tim blows everyone out of the water when he gets low. Ring Of Fire is done in this video by the original 5 HF guys. The beatboxer (Adam) and his brother started the group and Tim, Rob (the beard) and Austin (the high tenor) all joined in later. Adam Chance - he goes by Chance - replaced Chris later. I can't remember when tho. If you like Austin's high notes, check out "How Great Thou Art and you'll hear Adam's pure high tenor tone. I've never heard anyone that has that clear and clear amazement. He doesn't do a lot of singing of course but when he does it blows my mind. I love their cover of Hillbilly Bone by Blake Shelton & Trace Adkins. It won't take to many songs by HF before you officially a Home Fry
You will love, and I'd love to see your reaction, these Home Free covers: When a Man Loves a Woman; Brothers in Arms; Man of Constant Sorrow; How Great Thou Art; End of the Road; (Among others !)
Avi Kaplan is amazing. All of his Pentatonix (PTX) stuff is wonderful and he has been creating his own solo work since 2017. Check out his most recent song "First Place I Go". Find "Light in the Hallway" for his lyrical side, or Aha! for some of his bass vocal gymnastics work.
They are ALL incredible singers. A quick sampling of Tim’s (5 octave range) = Brothers in Arms and the Maria (sung with Austin Brown and friends. You won’t believe it!
Tim Foust goes lower than a piano. He has blown sound systems. You should check out Peter hollens and Tim Foust doing Misty Mountains. Tim's bass shines. Great reaction. Only one new member. Co founder Chris Rupp, left and Adam Chance took his spot. Chris Rupp is Adam Rupp brother the beat boxer.
Yes, to all your questions. 😉 You're asking all the right questions too! Yes, there are several bass vocal techniques, but I'd suggest you check out Geoff's videos on his channel for those answers. Yes, the guy in the cowboy hat, Chris Rupp, is a HF founding father and brother to the only founder left, Adam Rupp, the beatboxer. He left for a solo career in 2016. He was replaced by Adam "Chance." That's the only difference in the lineup since 2016. IMO, Tim's bass is more smooth like velvet. Geoff's is more, in your face and bold. Avi's is pure silk. All 3 have incredible ranges, and all 3 will tell you, "working the higher ranges, helps the lower". It's a science thing. 😀 Great reaction!
I really enjoyed the partnership they had with the Oak Ridge Boys. They sang Elvira and I think it’s fantastic. It was like the Oak Ridge Boys were passing on the torch to the younger generation. Also, Home Free showed a lot of respect to the “old timers” I think Richard Sterban was the first bass singer I had ever heard and I dreamed about my voice changing and getting that low. (Never happened)
Gotta say - You hear Tim and Avi are on a song together, you just know it going to be bass showcase; But IMO Adam steals the show with incredible percussion throughout on this song.
I'm sorry this is going to be a long one, but there is a lot to know about Home Free that just doesn't pop out of the box. To begin at the beginning, you really should watch season 4 of the TV show, The SingOff, with the judges' comments. In season 4, both Home Free and VoicePlay competed (spoiler alert: Home Free won). If you watch those videos, you will hear Austin say that Tim was singing the lowest in the competition. I read somewhere that Tim (with his 5-octave range) was helping Geoff to hit lower. At the end of the 4th season, all the contestants from season 4, and the winner from season 3 (Pentatonix with Avi Kaplan) were there together. So, they all know each other. There has been only one change in the Home Free line-up "recently." In 2017, baritone Chris Rupp (one of the founders of the group) decided to go his own way, and he picked Adam Chance to replace him. Chance, to differentiate him from Adam Rupp, is a baritone/bass. He has a 4-octave range and, when Tim is singing in the higher registers, Chance takes over the bass line. Adam Rupp, who also has a sweet tenor, is the beatboxer and Freak of Nature. I know there are several videos of him doing his thing, but my favorite one is an oldie but goodie: ua-cam.com/video/EanKWLUaDpg/v-deo.html The high tenor is Austin Brown (who can lose his Georgia Accent at will). He really shines in When a Man Loves a Woman. And the lead tenor, Rob Lundquist (beard and glasses), is simply amazing across the board. The group chooses the lead for each song by figuring out who does it better. No prima donnas. Nice guys. And they seem to like each other and have fun together, too. They don't do too much in the studio that they can't do in a live show. They keep it pretty real. I see someone below has suggested Bless the Broken Road and Brothers in Arms. They keep turning out my favorites. Actually, every time they put out a new song, it becomes my new favorite. Thank goodness the rabbit hole is deep. Avi has been described to me as the man who sounds like melted dark chocolate. Geoff has a voice like black velvet. And Tim is the Dragon. And I think you're right. Avi and Tim sing, even when they are going low. Geoff sounds to me as if he is saying "See how low I can go!" And it doesn't always fit properly into the musicality of the song.
A good rundown you have given here. Just one thing, Chris Rupp was interviewed by reactor QoFy back in August and said he did not help pick Chance. The interview can be found on QoFy's youtube channel or there is a link on Chris Rupp's twitter account. It is a long but very interesting interview and the pertinent info is at the 33 minute mark.
Avi's bass under Tim's singing is amazing! Avi is solo now after 6 - 7 yrs w/PTX. "Change On The Rise" is his #1 solo recording! Matt (new bass) is the only change Pentatonix has had in 10 years! PTX/HF/VP - The a capella trifecta! 💖
♥️♥️♥️ man of constant sorrow would be a good choice to review next. And yes this has Chris Rupp (Adams brother). when he went out on his own, he found his own replacement, Adam Chance. So when you see the tall, baldish guy (usually with a cowboy hat), that's Chris. He's a tenor also and felt the group didn't need three tenors, so he brought in Chance who was a bass in another group. Chance sings baritone and also bass, which let's Tim flex his higher range more. They have a Christmas hymn which has both Chris and Chance in it. I believe it's "What Child is this". Enjoying your reactions!
Actually Chris picking Chance is a rumour that is going around. Last August Chris did an interview with reactor QoFy and said that he did not help pick Chance. The interview is available on QoFy's youtube channel or there is a link on Chris' twitter account. It is a long, but very interesting, interview and the pertinent info is at the 33 minute mark.
Great reaction. Welcome to Home Free. All the members are the same except for Chris Rupp the baritone who was replaced by Adam Chance in 2017 as the new baritone but he can also go bass. Chris is the brother to Adam Rupp the beatboxer who started the group.
The guy in the hat that is not Avi is Chris Rupp. He is the brother of Adam Rupp (beatboxer). They started the group in 2000. In 2017 or so Chris left and was replaced with Adam Chance (Chance). The guy who sings real high is Austin Brown. The guy with the glasses and beard is Rob Lundquist.
Your love of all things acapella is infectious! I'm having fun watching you have fun! There is SO much content from these three groups. I know we are all looking forward to accompanying you on this journey!
Avi has a velvety quality to his vice, which is really nice. Tim actually has a 5 octave range. From what I've seen he can go B0 - C5. You really can't go wrong with ANY Home Free video you choose to react to.
Just like tenors voices have different tones and brightness or warmth, so goes bass voices. Lots of it is the amount of breath and support a note is given.
When Tim Faust hit that last note…even the devil said ‘shit!..and I thought I was low’!!.. Austin, is the high voice at the beginning and Rob is the bearded singer, with Adam the vocal percussionist, and I’m sure I’m missing a couple more, but you’ll probably know them before you read this..👍🏽👍🏽😂🤣
The funniest thing is, Tim actually helped coach Geoff, and find a cellar in his basement. Geoff can only go as low as he can go because of Tim's help.
Enjoy your reactions to Home Free. Your insights are spot-on. Can’t wait to hear more. The only change in members was when Chris Rupp went out on his own and was replaced by Adam Chance. Adam sings in Fulsom Prison blues while Chris was in this one. Austin’s appearance changed somewhat, too. I’ve seen some good suggestions for you to do, but if you can stand a bit more Christmas music, check out HF’s O Holy Night. Austin kills it with some beautiful high notes.
Yes they are different techniques. Tim in this used a growl technique to get to his bottom note (G1). Geoff is famous for using subharmonics which is a different technique to get to his lows but will also use growl from time to time
Tim and Avi are so good. Avi left Pentatonix to go solo. Tim is amazing. I understand he helped both Avi and Geoff to go lower. Tim held that last note for 13 seconds. Amazing. When they sang this on the NBC show the Sing Off, Tim went even lower. All the singers in Home Free are talented. Maybe try Helplessly Hoping, One Man Band, How Great Thou Art to hear all of their voices. To hear more bass try their newest release Brothers in Arms. Tim goes low! It’s beautiful!
If you are looking to hear the tenors, give a listen to When A Man Loves A Woman and the Boys to Men cover End Of The Road. And for a supreme mix of tenors, bass and baritone, pkus exceptional harmonies, check out their latest release Brothers in Arms. Cheers!
Hi Rob. I'm new. U definitely need to see Home Free's Mayday, In the Blood, End of the Road, Everybody Walking This Land. Some of my favs are I've Seen, Honey, I'm Good, The Driver, Cold Hard Cash ( a Christmas song), Champagne Taste, Can't Stop the Feeling, Feeling It, Dive Bar Saints, Die a Happy Man, .......ohhhhhhh there are so many great ones!!! Those are just few!! 😉 Glad to see that u are listening to Voiceplay too. ❤🎧🎙🎶
Another bass singer with an incredible range that I would highly recommend is Tomi P. He has several amazing a cappella covers here on UA-cam, but his most popular is probably 'Hellfire'. Definitely worth a listen!
The technique used on that last note is called vocal subharmonics. its pretty easy once you get the feel of it. high level, its like you are going to vocal fry but only half way. its more than that. but you get the point
@Rob Robbie High & Low blend? You need to hear Home Free's cover of Brothers in Arms! If you listen real close near the end of the song, you'll hear Tim and Chance sing the bass line together, then Chance slides up to the baritone part. WARNING: Heart wrencher of a song!!
Geoff uses much more sub-harmonic technique than any other bass singer. The sub-harmonic technique is actually singing in the higher octave , but the false vocal folds get activated exactly one octave below what is being sung. It's not as hard on the vocal tract as a growl or vocal fry technique. Tim uses the growl technique much more than anyone else. It's more breathy and has less tonal quality than sub-harmonic, but it's the real vocal chords doing the work along with the breathing. Avi uses vocal fry technique more often when he gets lower than his chest voice. That's the hardest on the vocal tract. It has little breath involved. The support doesn't need to be there to force air through the vocal chords.
Austin Brown (high tenor) has his own YT channel and Tim Foust does as well. Watch Tim's version of "My Maria" for his higher range and "Hillbilly Bone" or "Brothers in Arms" for his lowest melodic showcase you'll find.
they all have huge range, and beutiful sound, but one of them can talk way bether than the others. castaluci reading a book is the best way get a child to sleep (while not harming it) ive found so far
Been watching you awhile just getting into these reaction videos you are awesome! If you have not yet done so you must listen to Man of constant sorrow and Adam rupp's live drum solo! Keep up the good work thanks
Avi and Tim both have 5 octave ranges, but Avi also has his polyphonic/overtone voice which adds whistle notes to his already 5 octave range. If you haven't, you should listen to some of Avi's performances singing overtones. I like both Tim and Avi but Ave has that thick, rich, dark, weighty, chocolate sound that I prefer.
the bass guys use different techniques for different bass notes. the chest note, a growl and a vocal fry. Tim foust is outstanding, I believe he has 6 octaves. Home Free sing some much stuff, Try when a man loves a woman for Austin, end of the road for Rob, some girls do for Chance, brothers in arms for Tim . As lead singers. also Take me home country roads is an outstanding cover
Avi is Operatically trained so his technique for hitting low tones may very likely be different from Tim's. In fact, Tim has worked with Geoff on training his bass lower (since Geoff does not consider himself a bass). Tim goes subwoofer, there a plenty of videos of him doing it. And yes, he tends to slip it in when you aren't expecting it and doesn't make a huge deal of it . Okay as for the guys, Austin (longish reddish hair) is the high tenor with the voice of an angel. There is just a purity there that is hard to describe. Rob (glasses and beard) is the 2nd tenor and he has the soul in his voice. Then in this video there is Chris (cowboy hat) as baritone. He did a great job filling in the bass line when Tim sang lead. I say was because he is no longer in the group. Now there is Chance in the baritone position who can sing quite low himself. Tim Foust is the basso profundo that, as he put it, was a late bloomer so was trained in the tenor range vocally and then his voice changed. His bass notes are legendary. Wrapping it up is Adam the beatboxer, affectionately called "The Freak of Nature". They like to switch it up so you never know which one is going to sing lead. (Except for Adam, who prefers not to sing unless there is no beatboxing and then he lends his tenor to the background) You really cannot go wrong with these guys. Not a bad song in the bunch.
as far as "technique"...Geoff uses subharmonics to hit the super low notes....TIm uses "growl"...there is also chest/fry mix, and pure fry....all can be used to hit notes lower than your usual chest range
Big difference is Geoff tends to use Subharmonics, and Tim uses Vocal Fry... I'd say it due to his tamber. You can hear it even when he's singing mid-range, you can hear that depth like it's trying to bubble out. Geoff has some info on how he signs lower on his channel, but understanding the difference truly, you almost have to do it yourself. Anyone pretty much can do them, it's a matter if your voice is in the range for it to sound decent. :D I've been practicing a bit, can pretty much hit a F1 and belt it out louder than my speaking voice, dead on at will, and move down to a D1. Which is stupid low... but it's there. Fun around Halloween to scare people!
Tim Foust can go sub-woofer it just depends on the song. Tim can go the low as A0 which is the lowest of the three. He can hold low notes the longest. He has broken sound systems while doing live shows. Tim Foust helped Avi and Jeff of Voice Play improve their low notes.
If you want to hear the tenors check out their cover of end of the road. For the bass check out the channel bass singer reacts. He breaks down the performances in technical terms.
Geoff uses subharmonics to go lower. Tim uses a growl and vocal fry. I think Avi uses a little of both. I think Geoff has a video explaining the different techniques.
Definitely the song to hear Austin's high notes is 'When A Man Loves A Woman' ua-cam.com/video/-pygPmfGQvU/v-deo.html

Geof uses sub-harmonics Avi uses chest fry and Tim uses dragon breath lol
Avi uses Tim's growl method aka dragon's breath in the E.U.
This is such a great comment
Avi use pure chest voice and sometimes use growls

Love this and love that Avi joins them in this. They are now friends as they all live near Nashville.
Peter Hollins and Avi Kaplan
"Black Is The Color Of My True Love's Hair"
It's stunning.
No technique that makes them go lower. Tim has actually blown out a speaker at a county fair before. "Home Free Concert Morrison, IL 8/19/15 One of funniest concerts. Tim blows out sound system" by abby zee start at 6:17 minute marker.
Watch the whole performance, it's great, ,but especially the run-up to the blow-out.
When you're ready for some FUN, watch Tim's original song, "Champagne on a Beer Budget" and Avi makes a cute sneak on appearance near the end.
Two of the best bass singers in one song, that's fantastic. A wonderful arrangement of Home Free. Austin's tenor is perfect. But Tim's low note makes up for it. Avi has a great voice, but Tim is my favorite. You can feel his bass too 💥 Great reaction!

I was impressed that Rob Robbie could hear the difference even if he didn't know why.
When you hear them live and he hits these low notes. It reverberates through your entire body. It's incredible!

I agree. Austin has an awesome voice. To really hear him belt one out, check out Home Free's version of, When A Man Loves A Woman. Great job.
The technique they use for that low note is called Stand Back And Let Tim Do His Thing.
Tim has mentored Avi in his bass singing, so Avi learned from the best! ❤
I suggest 2 of their newest songs, Bless the broken road show both Austin and Rob going high, Brothers in Arms where Tim is going low

Snow globe is also good
Tim, Avi, and Geoff are all friends. There is no competition between them, and they have fun working with each other.

When a Man Loves a Woman, Bless the Broken Road, Crazy, End of the Road, Hillbilly Bone, are a few to get to hear those tenors.
If you like high notes Avi can do over tones while going low. Check it out.
"End Of The Road", you will hear the tenors, Rob and Austin.

The beat boxer (Adam Rupp) was killing it....he always does since he's just phenomenal. Check out some of his "drum" or beatboxing solos on UA-cam.
HF/Austin Brown, When a Man Loves a Woman, that'll give you bunch of high tenor. Great reaction, thanks for sharing.
Austin is the high tenor that you like his voice. You should listen to him sing the lead on When A Man Loves a Woman.

That last note was Tim Faust - amazing. He has actually blown out speakers 🔊
You will enjoy listening to Austin Brown sing Bring him home from Le Miz.
Rob and Autin take on Opera with Nessum Dorma.
I watch every Home Fee reaction I can find and this review is one of my all time favorites- so thank you!❤
Tim Foust goes lower than a piano.
Avi isn't the "new guy", he's just friends with Home Free. Tim is still the bass!
Also, Home Free showed a lot of respect to the “old timers”
I think Richard Sterban was the first bass singer I had ever heard and I dreamed about my voice changing and getting that low.
I know there are several videos of him doing his thing, but my favorite one is an oldie but goodie: ua-cam.com/video/EanKWLUaDpg/v-deo.html
The high tenor is Austin Brown (who can lose his Georgia Accent at will).
Oh my goodness I looooove your reaction to this video, it brightened my day ❤️🇨🇦
♥️♥️♥️ man of constant sorrow would be a good choice to review next.
SMOOTH is the word for their bass notes, just oh so smooth! 😍
These three guys have big ranges, are friends, and have exchanged techniques. I don’t know about the other guys, but Tim has a 5+ octave range.
I really enjoyed your reaction. Detailed and very interesting. Looking forward to more Home Free. Have a good one.
The guys are amazing, and Tim has a phenomenal voice. Nice reaction
I love how articulate you are. Thank you so much.
Avi has a velvety quality to his vice, which is really nice. Tim actually has a 5 octave range. From what I've seen he can go B0 - C5.
You really can't go wrong with ANY Home Free video you choose to react to.
Tim Foust - Bass
Austin Brown - High Tenor
Rob Lundquist - Renor
Chance - Baritone/Bass
Adam Rupp - Beatboxer
Chris Rupp - Tenor before 2016
Just like tenors voices have different tones and brightness or warmth, so goes bass voices. Lots of it is the amount of breath and support a note is given.
Avi's voice is just smooth melted chocolate!
Geoff is famous for using subharmonics which is a different technique to get to his lows but will also use growl from time to time
The snare work is phenomenal!!!
Tim has a five octave range.
The true purity of sound from within their voices Gifts from from God .
Rob, you have a perfect announcer/DJ’s voice. Beautiful baritone!
Pretty much, Geoff, Tim, and Avi are the trifecta of bass singers with tenor range. Not telling how I rank them.
Avi has a velvet chocolate voice. Incomparable!!!!
Home Free is a beautiful road to go down!!!
Geoff’s low notes=Flexing at gym LOL
Perfect analogy!!!
they all have huge range, and beutiful sound, but one of them can talk way bether than the others. castaluci reading a book is the best way get a child to sleep (while not harming it) ive found so far
Been watching you awhile just getting into these reaction videos you are awesome! If you have not yet done so you must listen to Man of constant sorrow and Adam rupp's live drum solo! Keep up the good work thanks
Avi and Tim both have 5 octave ranges, but Avi also has his polyphonic/overtone voice which
adds whistle notes to his already 5 octave range. If you haven't, you should listen to
some of Avi's performances singing overtones.
I like both Tim and Avi but Ave has that thick, rich, dark, weighty, chocolate sound that I prefer.
I never even thought about them doing the National Anthem. Holy sht, wouldn't that be great.
the bass guys use different techniques for different bass notes. the chest note, a growl and a vocal fry.
You should check out a live version of "Natural Disaster" by Penatonix Avi can blow some speakers...
Also look up Tim Storms....
Listen to Tim's new solo albulm where he sings every part of doo-whop songs. His falsetto is crazy, sick good. Its amazing.
Real fire beutifull voice's smooth flowing 😊
as far as "technique"...Geoff uses subharmonics to hit the super low notes....TIm uses "growl"...there is also chest/fry mix, and pure fry....all can be used to hit notes lower than your usual chest range
I've been practicing a bit, can pretty much hit a F1 and belt it out louder than my speaking voice, dead on at will, and move down to a D1. Which is stupid low... but it's there. Fun around Halloween to scare people!
I'd suggest their version of Boys to Men 'End of the road' next.
In case anyone hasn't said it please check out Man of Constant Sorrow and also look at Misty Mountain and watch the actual camera at the end.
Home Free dropped Brothers in Arms.......and lots of bass in it.
Your reaction is priceless! It’s called frying
Try “Brothers in Arms” for some of Tim’s low notes. 🐝🤗❤️
