Hi Hayley, Once again you have covered everything I needed to know to start my first pattern. Everyone talks about what backing they like and then dive right into the pattern. It was such a huge help to see how much extra you left and how you measured everything! Thank you so much, these videos are such a help to us beginners!

Love the idea for the edges, I really didn't want to purchase a sewing machine. Can't wait much longer to find your studio, I am from the Dartmouth Ma area.

I like your straighforward presentation. I listen to instructional videos to learn more about rug hooking, not more about the presenter. I do get annoyed, and turn off the video, when presenters start telling me about what happened to them that day. Thanks. And I am glad you are in RI. I live in CT a few months a year and have been looking for a studio I can visit instead of just ordering online.

I just discovered your videos! I love them! I am a beginner so I am grateful you are doing videos. You are such a fabulous teacher! I tried to order a kit from your website but you are sold out of so many kits! That is good news for your shop though! I will try again later. Thanks for sharing!

Great video. Quick question: isn't heat n' bond double sided sticky? In the video you only show attaching one side. Are you folding the monks cloth down to make a hem afterwards?

Hi Jennifer! The heat n bond dries once it's cooled so it is not sticky again unless you apply more heat. You could definitely fold it over to make a nice little hem for yourself but I haven't found it necessary to do in my practice. Thanks for watching!
