A great idea would be to have 1-2 players with dual protons and 100-200 regular nerfers and the goal is to tag both of the other team's lvl 100 mafia bosses or the one with the most alive wins
last christmas when i got my Prometheus i literally spent like 5 whole days firing it straight. (charging took under an hour bcs i used my hobby charger) i set up a ball trap and wow... i shot like 50000 rounds and reloaded the 250 ball cap at least 40 times a day it was just so fun
Purdue hosted an event called Boilerdome, we had a guy show up with a Proton Pack running through a Jupiter. It terrified the players and when I was allowed to run it for a match earned me a new nickname (think really really fast spray gun/tank). Worked really well, the only issue it had was occasionally acorns and other debris would get caught in the pack(due to loading) and cause it to jam completely, which required the pack to be shutdown and taken apart.
I will agree that the Jupiter with a proton pack is likely the ultimate HVZ blaster. Got to march alongside you at Endwar and witness it first hand. One of our players has the mag-fed Jupiter and it is fearsome, but like any Rival blaster, somewhat limited in range.
So I just prefer pump actions in general over auto blasters. Imagine having a proton pack connected to a rivalburn or something. Get a wireless button to start the motor, put it on the pump and voila. Put a weaker spring in it and it could be a lot of fun, and far less OP. Plus your arm would die and fall off before you could run out of ammo, with even a modest hopper in your backpack.
What happens to all the darts/balls that are shot? Can you imagine having to pick all those up? Also does everyone just lose their darts or do they somehow get theirs back?
It depends on the game. I think the most common thing is that whoever runs the game keeps a large stock of ammunition, and at the end of the game everything picked up goes back in that stock. During HVZ games zombies usually pick up ammo during downtime, in PVP there is usually dedicated time for ammo pickup. We'll never get 100% recovery, but we do our best.
Using a garden weasel you can pick up Rival rounds with relative ease. If I ever had a proton pack, I would bring a garden weasel as part of the load out.

Although weight and movement would be a problem, what if you had a proton pack made for an army bag? You could place it down and use it as a shield, and have a lot of ammo to mow down people with xD
The amount of ammo you're expending in a single burst(s) is probably the biggest risk/disadvantage....but otherwise your setup is awesome! Reminds me of armored core lol, mostly due to the rof. You've got a winner there bud. Great video! :)

Now all you need is a modded hopper with a vacuum on top so that you can suck up shot rounds directly back into the Hopper. Sounds crazy, but I'm sure you could do it!
I was with you on Mission 2 at EndWar 2018, so I can definitely say that Jupiter Proton Packs are insane. (But you really should keep an eye out for flanking zombies :P )

Those things are mean when you take one head on, but the most terrifying part was the player behind the blasters. You're a great HvZ player and you have the ultimate weapons, it's a little scary! Hope to play against you soon.
I want to purchase a jupiter but feel it would be lacking without a proton pack. I found my ammo tank and feeder fan today while thrifting. Looking forward to the proton pack kit being back in stock soon
When you said there will always be some sort of tether, is there a reason (aside from cost) that slip rings (such as is used by power vacuum cleaners, and other fluid+electric over-moulded vinyl tubing) was not suitable?

I'd love to get on a waiting list for 'em. Also I live local to you, so if I succeeded in breaking something, it would be trivial to bring it to the shop to diagnose.
So when will the Jupiter's internals be moulded into wrist-lets or gloves on the back of the hand similar to Shocker's (animated spiderman show from 90's) wrist emitters? stream the feed mechanism and tubes along the shirt sleeve to a slim backpack, make it a one piece shirt or jacket one can slip on and off.
When you release the final product you should sell a Jupiter proton pack set with every component to have them both running. No trips to the store needed.
I will buy one. Possibly more than one. That said, if you're looking for hose, I suggest CPAP machine hose. It's about the right size, and reasonably easy to get ahold of...and you can find it with connectors at both ends.

How about you mount those two protons on your shoulders, for example on the straps of the backpack? Would give you the Ironman war machine kinda firepower and you would still be able to carry another prime, wire the triggers into your gloves and boom, superior firepower

I've tried using an inflatable pool filter tubes. Maybe you can source them reasonably.

Why would you put a 3s lipo in the Jupiter, when it is using Fang revamps which are built to work best on a 2s lipo?
A 3s improves the rate of fire by about 50%, and if you try and use the proton pack on 2s you will jam your Jupiter

You could basically make a rival flamethrower with one of those proton packs. All you'd have to do is have a different blaster at the end of the hose
