The last dance F16 and Spitfire - Steven ‘Vrieske’ Devries goodbye - SANICOLE 2024

The International Sanicole Airshow 2024 will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the F-16, though it will mark the end of an era for the Belgian Air Force’s F-16 demo team, which had 19 different pilots over the years. The final demo pilot, Steven ‘Vrieske’ Devries, will perform his last flight on September 22, 2024, leading a heritage flight with all former F-16 demo pilots and flying in formation with a Spitfire. This special tribute will symbolize the transition from the historic Spitfire, Belgium’s first fighter, to the modern F-16, as Belgium prepares for the next generation of combat aircraft.
