because it's sliced thin on a machine. I had Katz's hand carved pastrami. I really don't care for it. I don't like the texture

you must have went in the morning, when it's slow. We usually go just before the dinner rush, when the pickle bar also has onion rolls and a sweet roll, that's awesome with the salty pastrami. The In Betweener was our favorite.
