Could be incredible to learn about design the replacement of the windows, stairs, doors, etc, a little bit more advanced design on sketchup
to draw on another axis just hit the corresponding arrow key on the keyboard. so to draw on z hit up arrow. instead of pulling the whole "sail" you could make it juat the thickness of the wall so you have actual interiors instead of a full solid dome

if you pre pick the path then click the follow me tool then you can pick the shape and it will make the dome following the path automatically.
