라벨 최후의 피아노 작품으로 전주곡, 푸가, 포를란느, 리고동, 미누엣, 토카타 등 총 6곡으로 구성. 쿠프랭을 비롯한 18세기 음악에 대한 경의를 옛 모음곡 형식에 담고 있으며 제 1차 세계대전 중에 전사한 친구들에게 헌정됨. 슬픔이 담긴 작품이라기보다는 무덤에 바쳐진 꽃처럼 전아(典雅)한 소곡.

This performance is a revelation. The Toccata becomes powerfully thrilling. If I had been in the audience I would have immediately risen to my feet with a standing ovation! He shows that the piece is powerfully emotional.

watching him, listening to him totally enlightens me - his proper tempo rubato or perfect pedaling is just gorgeous let alone his great tones
백선생님의 쿠프랭의 무덤 연주는 최고입니다 곡의 거칠고 무거운 분위기를 정말 잘 표현해 주시는거 같아요. 1차세계대전에 참전해 죽은 친구들을 기리는 곡이니 만큼 어쨌든 연주 내내 분위기는 거칠고 무거워야 한다고 생각하는데 백선생님의 투박한 터치와 곡의 분위기가 완벽한 조화를 이룹니다

One of the most powerful interpretations of "Le Tombeau De Couperin"....
I've played this piece. He's quite capable, but of course the toccata goes off the rails at the end and he has that look on his face when he gets up, which I know all too well lol. I have yet to hear anyone nail that last two pages of the toccata live, and I've listened to a lot of people try. Angela Hewitt has the same look at the end. Of course she's also fabulous. For the record, at the end of the day I don't care about a few wrong notes. I just want a few beautiful phrases

I have a lot of respect for anyone who can play a piece like this...but this sounds awfully mechanical. He sounds like he can't wait to get it over with, doesn't seem to enjoy this beautiful piece.
The sections played at breakneck speed are very unsatisfying, even unpleasant.
I don't like his performance. It is harsh and too fast. I do not feel the sadness about the victims of WW I.
