i have a bluetooth dongle 5.0 and it only works the first time detects my controller normally but when i want to connect it again the dongle says driver error and i cant switch bluetooth ON and OFF anymore ( i have bt services on automatic) until i remove the dongle and put it back, and it shows up as generic bluetooth radio in device manager help plz

I have replaced both an ASUS dongle and an Insignia dongle twice, and bought a third one that’s on the way… all because I thought my computer was bricking them or something… 🤦♂️ They kept saying the drivers were missing or not working, but I knew I had used them on this computer before! This could be a very helpful video but no solution you did talked about was right for me. After a win10 update I lost my Bluetooth connection because of a wrong USB driver. My Bluetooth dongle 4.0 and even my Bluetooth 5.0 dongle did show up again as before. Eventually I did remove all USB drivers and my Bluetooth drivers in device manager and that helped me out. Suddenly I got my Bluetooth running again after hours of an in depth search what causes it. Thanks anyway ;-)

All the solutions (i tried all of them) does'nt work for me when i plug in le csr dongle in any usb port of my pc it make the noise of connecting usb and show the device on c/ bluetooth devices but after a few seconds the connection is turned off with the sound of disconnecting USB ans no bluetooth devices are in c/ bluetooth device.

Listen to me You don't need to install anything! Just find you adapter in device manager, then choose to install a driver from a list. Then "let me choose from list" CHOOSE GENERIC BLUETOOTH ADAPTER Then you are done!

Funcionou (It worked!) Meu relato para quem estiver passando pelo mesmo. Ano passado meu Dongle parou de funcionar do nada por ''Erro de Política de Grupo'', erro esse que pesquisei em tudo que é lugar em como resolver e nada que testei funcionou, incluindo atualizar drivers, mexer em mil configurações e comprar um novo Dongle (comprei 3). Hoje ouvi falar desse tal "CD" e resolvi testar, cliquei no link, instalei e funcionou na mesma hora, nem precisei reiniciar o PC. Se você tentou tudo, talvez aqui seja a solução.

1. Reset bt device, look for a little hole use sim ejector tool. Search google for your model. 2. Reduce distance between receiver and transmitter. 3. Update driver. Good luck and pls like and subscribe.

Initially I was suspicious of this, seeing as I searched high and low for a Bluetooth driver only to find one website after another claiming to have a fix, which always led to installing their software and then being prompted to pay for access once installed. I'm happy to say, this software is legit, it work for me and I didn't once see an 'Enter Credit Card Information' menu. I used Method 4, which seems to be the most common solution. Bluetooth is working great on my PC. Thank you, Brainers Technology & CSR Harmony, very much appreciated.

control panel > devices and printers > remove any ps4 controller device or whatever > add device > hold share and middle button on controller > click ur controller to connect > yw i literally tried every tutorial on the internet and nothing worked, did this and connected perfectly and didnt disconnect at all
Personally, I had to go into Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc), sort all the processes/tasks by name, find the 'C' section, and close each CSR bluetooth or regular bluetooth task. Then I navigated to the 'Taskbar Application' and opening it again.

Friend - You mean your computer bluetooth works for other devices but not working for purticular device? If that is the case, sometimes the bluetooth device is in paired/connected with some other device(mobile) which does not allow connection with another device(pc). Solution: 1. Turn off bluetooth on other devices 2. Restart all your devices. 3. Know how to factory reset your bluetooth device and try doing it (mostly a little hole, in which you can use sim ejector pin) If it helps, pls like the video and subscribe to our channel..☝️

Hi, I have a question I have a BT dongle but when I plug it in my computer it's recognized as just "Dongle" and I can't use it, I'm using windows 7, what can I do to fix this?
Brother, the inbuild bt scan software does not work in all cases that is where the driver and scan software provided by BT dongle manufacturer comes to your rescue.. That is exactly i have done in this video.
So, for me, none of these worked. My bluetooth worked fine for months but since this morning the bluetooth icon is greyed out and when I right click it, all of its options are greyed out as well. I tried unplugging the dongle and putting it back in (in all of my USB ports) and sometimes it just goes back to not working without any kind of error message. Some other times it gave me a "you don't have a valid license to run csr harmony" message. No idea why this would suddenly be a thing. I also tried uninstalling the drivers and installing new ones that I downloaded from the manufacturer's website. And I tried restarting my PC. It's still not working. Anyone know what I should do?
Thanks for the help. Windows told me my bluetooth drivers were up to date and it still didn't work, then I went to the the manufactures site for the particular dongle I had and got their drivers, that did the trick. I guess you can't always trust Windows.

Friend - It depends some USB hubs are capable enough to handle it, some are not. Again version and hardware compatibility may also cause issues. so the device does not work on hub then direct USB port is the solution.

method 4 works for me but only for one usb port. when i plugged in the usb dongle into the other port, it doesn't work. what should i do? i want my usb dongle to works for both usb ports.
Port inner color changes? it means 2 different port versions. May be your dongle is not supported for that version. in non working port other usb devices works?
issues with this bluetooth adaptor : Remove other wireless adaptors or atleast remove other adaptors after you see a driver installation processing dialog box , Remove other Bluetooth adaptors only connect from settings or from notifications bar , dont use bluetooth option from devices and drives in This PC / file explorer and make it more complicated

i did every thing in the video but the thing that says on and off which is supposed to be in the bluetooth is not there and when i try to connect me speaker its says nu bluetooth device in the computer pls help
all drivers updated. tried all usb ports. services turned on, running and on automatic start. device manager bluetooth reinstalled numerous times. bluetooth software doesnt work in this case i use 'Reinston' bt adapter/dongle which i believe is associated with qualcomm. all troubleshooter does is turning bluetooth radio on each time and saying i may want to restart pc which doesnt change anything. nothing works. even set so my pc can read incoming bluetooth connections in additional bluetooth settings. it just wont see any devices pairing.
Dude - Is it CSR? the problem is some BT devices does not work with windows default BT search screen, you would need compatible software from the BT device manufacturer, the best place to find that software is the cd/disk that came with your BT device. Is it CSR dongle? Some of the USB adapters like CSR is not detected as Bluetooth adaptors by default Windows. So you need software from dongle manufacturer to scan and connect to external devices. In device manager, I have my adapter reading as 'generic bluetooth radio' and when I try to update drivers, there is an option to change it to 'generic bluetooth adapter' , but it wont let me because I get the same Code 31. Ive tried everything here and it still isnt working. *EDIT* . I was extremely short tempered and angry while watching this due to the few hours I spent trying to fix my issue, therefore I misinterpreted step 4. I downloaded the drivers from the manufacture website( tp-link ) and when I installed the driver it turned the generic bluetooth radio to the CSR thing and now it works.

guys if non of these work try this take out your usb dongle/adapter>go to device manger>action(top left corner)>device and printers>add a device(top left corner) than plug your usb dongle/adapter in while its scanning and it should work
I like this guide - but I am still stuck. The CSR tray application is not generating a Bluetooth tray application for me to then use. Can't work out why not. This is after my native realtek Bluetooth on my laptop stopped detecting and pairing with devices...

I've got 2 bluetooth dongles and windows 10 only detects one as a speaker and not bluetooth and the other windows will detect but when I try pairing my device it keeps on asking for a pin number and I even downloaded Driver Easy but window still will not detect my Orico bluetooth dongle as a bluetooth device so I just gave up in disgust and use the ear headphones with my tablet or phone both work fine

This could be a very helpful video but no solution you did talked about was right for me. After a win10 update I lost my Bluetooth connection because of a wrong USB driver. My Bluetooth dongle 4.0 and even my Bluetooth 5.0 dongle did show up again as before. Eventually I did remove all USB drivers and my Bluetooth drivers in device manager and that helped me out. Suddenly I got my Bluetooth running again after hours of an in depth search what causes it. Thanks anyway ;-)

All the solutions (i tried all of them) does'nt work for me when i plug in le csr dongle in any usb port of my pc it make the noise of connecting usb and show the device on c/ bluetooth devices but after a few seconds the connection is turned off with the sound of disconnecting USB ans no bluetooth devices are in c/ bluetooth device.

Bro, first ensure it works for normal case such as Bluetooth headset. Then try to pair PS4.
Pls try with each option one by one i could see there is option called ALL try with that as well.

Ano passado meu Dongle parou de funcionar do nada por ''Erro de Política de Grupo'', erro esse que pesquisei em tudo que é lugar em como resolver e nada que testei funcionou, incluindo atualizar drivers, mexer em mil configurações e comprar um novo Dongle (comprei 3). Hoje ouvi falar desse tal "CD" e resolvi testar, cliquei no link, instalei e funcionou na mesma hora, nem precisei reiniciar o PC.
Se você tentou tudo, talvez aqui seja a solução.

1. Reset bt device, look for a little hole use sim ejector tool. Search google for your model.
2. Reduce distance between receiver and transmitter.
3. Update driver.

Friend - Sometimes windows default BT connect software and driver wont work.
If CSR pls follow this video to download and install manufacture provided driver and BT connect software.

Atualização: O programa não consegue conectar aos controles, desinstalei ele e conectei pelo Windows e funcionou bem, o programa reparou os drivers para funcionarem somente com o Windows.
Atualização II: O adaptador não funcionou como deveria, continuou apresentando erro de driver, a solução foi comprar um adaptador próprio par isto, o nome é DS50 e custa R$ 55 na Shopee, muito bom, ele reconhece os controles de PS4 como controle de X360, o que facilita tudo. recomendo.

Initially I was suspicious of this, seeing as I searched high and low for a Bluetooth driver only to find one website after another claiming to have a fix, which always led to installing their software and then being prompted to pay for access once installed.
I'm happy to say, this software is legit, it work for me and I didn't once see an 'Enter Credit Card Information' menu.
I used Method 4, which seems to be the most common solution.
Bluetooth is working great on my PC.

control panel > devices and printers > remove any ps4 controller device or whatever > add device > hold share and middle button on controller > click ur controller to connect > yw
i literally tried every tutorial on the internet and nothing worked, did this and connected perfectly and didnt disconnect at all
Personally, I had to go into Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc), sort all the processes/tasks by name, find the 'C' section, and close each CSR bluetooth or regular bluetooth task. Then I navigated to the 'Taskbar Application' and opening it again.

Friend - You mean your computer bluetooth works for other devices but not working for purticular device?
If that is the case, sometimes the bluetooth device is in paired/connected with some other device(mobile) which does not allow connection with another device(pc).
Solution:
1. Turn off bluetooth on other devices
2. Restart all your devices.
3. Know how to factory reset your bluetooth device and try doing it (mostly a little hole, in which you can use sim ejector pin)

Brother, the inbuild bt scan software does not work in all cases that is where the driver and scan software provided by BT dongle manufacturer comes to your rescue..

Bro - are you using Bluetooth scanner provided in the cd? or pls try dowloading it from description.
So, for me, none of these worked. My bluetooth worked fine for months but since this morning the bluetooth icon is greyed out and when I right click it, all of its options are greyed out as well. I tried unplugging the dongle and putting it back in (in all of my USB ports) and sometimes it just goes back to not working without any kind of error message. Some other times it gave me a "you don't have a valid license to run csr harmony" message. No idea why this would suddenly be a thing. I also tried uninstalling the drivers and installing new ones that I downloaded from the manufacturer's website. And I tried restarting my PC. It's still not working. Anyone know what I should do?
Are you talking about windows inbuilt bluetooth icon? or CSR bluetooth icon?

Thanks for the help. Windows told me my bluetooth drivers were up to date and it still didn't work, then I went to the the manufactures site for the particular dongle I had and got their drivers, that did the trick. I guess you can't always trust Windows.

Friend - It depends some USB hubs are capable enough to handle it, some are not.
Again version and hardware compatibility may also cause issues. so the device does not work on hub then direct USB port is the solution.

method 4 works for me but only for one usb port. when i plugged in the usb dongle into the other port, it doesn't work. what should i do? i want my usb dongle to works for both usb ports.
Port inner color changes? it means 2 different port versions. May be your dongle is not supported for that version.
in non working port other usb devices works?
issues with this bluetooth adaptor :
Remove other wireless adaptors or atleast remove other adaptors after you see a driver installation processing dialog box ,
Remove other Bluetooth adaptors
only connect from settings or from notifications bar , dont use bluetooth option from devices and drives in This PC / file explorer and make it more complicated

Pls try resetting the Bluetooth device
all drivers updated. tried all usb ports. services turned on, running and on automatic start. device manager bluetooth reinstalled numerous times. bluetooth software doesnt work in this case i use 'Reinston' bt adapter/dongle which i believe is associated with qualcomm. all troubleshooter does is turning bluetooth radio on each time and saying i may want to restart pc which doesnt change anything. nothing works. even set so my pc can read incoming bluetooth connections in additional bluetooth settings. it just wont see any devices pairing.
Dude - Is it CSR? the problem is some BT devices does not work with windows default BT search screen, you would need compatible software from the BT device manufacturer, the best place to find that software is the cd/disk that came with your BT device.

Friend - pls follow this video. some Bluetooth devices are not recognized by windows default Bluetooth software. in that case your pc need driver and Bluetooth scan software from Bluetooth device manufacturer that is what being said in this video.

I tried many ways ( uninstall,update,install official and unofficial drive separately,In manage show all driver+action+add hardware-network,cmd,C drive, troubleshooting,services.msc, windows update, windows setup.etc) and each times I restart laptop but wasn't solve it..No Bluetooth name or option in drivemanager or any other in my laptop except c drive. Is it CSR dongle?
Some of the USB adapters like CSR is not detected as Bluetooth adaptors by default Windows. So you need software from dongle manufacturer to scan and connect to external devices.
If yours is CSR download from video description.

At version 4, it finds my controller but doesnt pair with it, the program always says that it didn't get an answer from my dualshock 4 ps4 controller

In device manager, I have my adapter reading as 'generic bluetooth radio' and when I try to update drivers, there is an option to change it to 'generic bluetooth adapter' , but it wont let me because I get the same Code 31. Ive tried everything here and it still isnt working. *EDIT* . I was extremely short tempered and angry while watching this due to the few hours I spent trying to fix my issue, therefore I misinterpreted step 4. I downloaded the drivers from the manufacture website( tp-link ) and when I installed the driver it turned the generic bluetooth radio to the CSR thing and now it works.
It ask for my payment info.... and i can't update the bluetooth bcz of that........

Not sure what's wrong with my machine... I have the TP-Link UB400, which seems to be the same CSR thing. When I launch the tray application there's no new icon in the system tray. Might have to reinstall Windows.

I like this guide - but I am still stuck. The CSR tray application is not generating a Bluetooth tray application for me to then use. Can't work out why not. This is after my native realtek Bluetooth on my laptop stopped detecting and pairing with devices...

Pls reset you BT device.
Generally there will be small pin hole in it. Use blend sim ejector to reset gently.

Let me clarify, My Computer, where the Bluetooth, c drive, and other components are located. In the Bluetooth section, is where I would "add device" as I have done in other instlattions.

The exe. Doesn't work on my windows 10 while installing it's says i don't have the license 😣 please help me out my after buying the dongle it's not working properly with my astrum wireless headphone it's sounds laggy or cracking i don't know how to describe the problem
Friend, Is it CSR? Do you have the CD that came with dongle?
If you have install from it. If not rewatch and carefully do the steps one by one in parallel.

I tried pretty much everything but still can't make the bluetooth work, its like a problem that says "device not discoverable" but it doesn't even try to search for any devices
4th method helped, it sowed up the device names but it coudn't play songs or anything, it simply didn't connect to any device. pls help

@@brainerstech video is really helpfull, but i am facing certain issue to connect ...when i press connect button from the csr app it shows that it is connected but actually it is not connected to my earphones.. there is no issue in my earphone.. still i am facing problem. please if you could help me in this problem that would be great.

I've got 2 bluetooth dongles and windows 10 only detects one as a speaker and not bluetooth and the other windows will detect but when I try pairing my device it keeps on asking for a pin number and I even downloaded Driver Easy but window still will not detect my Orico bluetooth dongle as a bluetooth device so I just gave up in disgust and use the ear headphones with my tablet or phone both work fine
brother - did you receive any cd with dongle? pls install driver and Bluetooth scan software from that cd.
the Bluetooth icon is not coming in the notification area
Brother, pls use Bluetooth connect app provided by Bluetooth vender csr in this case. default windows app does not work for some Bluetooth devices.
