The key to going up the middle on brothers is not just sailing out the other side. The caps extend slightly into the alley. Use one of the islands for cover and flank part of the opposing team at a time.

The key is Flambass never just charges out of the channel but scoots forward and back in the channel opening using its sides as cover until he and his buds have killed most targets. I miss those videos.
It would have been really fun if the Littorio had HE and SAP as it’s armaments. It feels like a bit of a waste to have fun collab ships like the AL Yukikaze that has the Kagerou hull but 8km Yugumo torps, meanwhile the others are just reskinned collectibles.
The whole point of shooting CV's with HE is that everybody is still looking for a fire. Early days CV slaughtering was made easy when you first set it on fire. It prevented the CV from launching airplanes. Nowadays going after CV's with AAA-cruisers is a thing. A nice example is the Rahmat. My personal best is 51 airplanes shot down in a single co-op game. At one point the CV was effectively no longer able to properly launch an airplane. I got them before they could do any harm. In the end I got the CV for dessert with torps.
Actually Jingles, most carriers are sufficiently thinly armored enough for BB HE scoring citadels on them, such as the Shokaku... On lower tier carriers, even DD HE can score citadel hits. You just have to hit the citadel that is most of the time smaller on a CV, (around the engine room, here, he was aiming too far forward, when you see the smoke stack or know where it is, aim for under it)
Little thing, the inconsistency of the guns is historical. The Italian 15" gun was overworked, but not quite as bad as the French one, but also had to suffer from very inconsistent shell and propellant quality.

One gets into a habit, playing carriers, of never giving the AI autopilot an excuse to switch to reverse propulsion in the middle of a maneuver, because for some reason it really, really wants to do that.

I think the game should make a bonus stats for boosting the ships of the same class in the match. For example. If you place Bismarck and Tirpiz into one team they gain “Pride of Kriegsmarine” which boost all German Ships on their HP by 20%. If Shokaku div with Zuikaku, they will gain 5th Carrier Division bonus, making aircrafts 10% faster and reduce preparation time by 10%. Scharnhost and Gneisenau will gain “Menace of Kriegsmarine” basically simple stats boost both ships detection range by 20% and takes only 10 seconds to go off detection (Reference to their quick escape and usually always disappear) while afloat, British ships deals 20% more damage to you. But Sharnhost will gain 20% extended range and deals 10 times damage on any British CVs. (Reference to her ability to snipe CVs). Div Yamato and Musashi. Will gain bonus “IJN” These two will gain +50% torpedo damage reduction and reduce 40% flooding chance. But, also gain 60% extra damage from Dive Bombers. Musashi will gain 2.0 sigma as long as she is stay in the battle line with Yamato. While these two afloat all IJN ships gains “Honor” Honor will boost all IJN ships stats, increasing damage on every ammunition by 20%. CVs will have 20% decrease preparation time. Repair Party Consumables will be able to heal 40% of Citadel/Torpedo Damage as long as Musashi and Yamato still floating. If Musashi or Yamato has been sunk, all buffs will be taken away. If Musashi and Yamato sunk. IJN ships gains “Dishonorable” penalty reduce all reload including consumables cool down by 30%.
