I guess it depends on what the goal is. Is it to build for the future? Or handicap it by making LeBron happy now? I think we all can agree that unless another superstar, or 3-4 very good role players come to the Lakers, they're not winning a championship with LeBron. So then if you max out LeBron and only add a bench player here or there, what you're saying to the fanbase is come and be entertained, but we have no plans on putting together a championship-competitive team.

Not only that, but he ruptured his achilles at an advanced age. We were also clearly rebuilding through the draft, which almost all of those players became important pieces on other teams.
LeBron didn't make the playoffs his first two years, but Broussard gonna hold Julius Randle, Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, D'Lo, Josh Hart, etc to higher standards? Keep in mind that LeBron also had an AS! This is the nonsense that non-LeBron fanatics are tired of. If we keep LeBron then ok, but not if it means we have to draft or sign Bronny. It was basically an exhibition tournament at a Disney world vacation resort where guys were playing pick up basketball. 22 teams participated in it and they even played exhibition games.
