I think we all can agree that unless another superstar, or 3-4 very good role players come to the Lakers, they're not winning a championship with LeBron. So then if you max out LeBron and only add a bench player here or there, what you're saying to the fanbase is come and be entertained, but we have no plans on putting together a championship-competitive team.
I don't care what the Lakers do. I'm not a Lakers fan. But if I were, I'd recognize the situation for what it is. I m sorry Chris but your argument is not that strong. Other teams who have won chips in the last few years did not fail to the same extent that the Lakers did - missing the playoffs once missing the play in once, and getting bounced in the 1st round twice. Rob admitted that Lebron's tenure with the Lakers to be mildly successful but not as successful that you would like to believe. Based on Lakers' track record compared to other championship teams in the last few years, Rob's argument is stronger than yours.

Answer to the question is NO. Bubble title didn’t count as a real championship. And I’ve been saying this no matter WHO won the title, it still wouldn’t count. Let’s ask the question, if the Clippers won it, would we be celebrating or counting their title as their first title in franchise history? Answer is overwhelmingly NO. He’ll never be a true Laker and he did nothing while there except miss the playoffs, get bounced early in two 1st rounds, and get swept in a WCF. Plus this sorry league made it much easier to make the playoffs by allowing 9 and 10 seeds the opportunity to make it, which i believe they benefited from. These guys have been favored to win titles multiple times and won nothing. If we’re still calling a championship a “bubble title” or “Mickey Mouse title”, then it’s not a title. Once again he also has a top 75 guy or multiple all-stars with viable roll players and he’s still begging for help. How much help do you need bro? Does he need to get up to 200 traded players to help him? Between peds and all these trades he still won’t catch MJ. I’ll be glad when he retires.

Kareem’s FG was 56.4% at age 39. But he was a liability on the defensive end and he negatively impacted the Lakers flow because of his lack of stamina.
That’s the reason many greats see reduced minutes even though they might be able to keep their numbers up.
The league and the Lakers are milking the goat debate at the sacrifice of team success.

He slows the ball down...look how the ball moves and everyone is involved when he isn't playing. He would be great off the bench

I’m with Rob, the Lakers have been a moderate success during LeBron’s tenure. 1 championship, 1 Conference Finals sweep, 2 first round exits, and missing the playoffs twice is not an overwhelming success.
The Warriors, Nuggets, and Bucks have all had more relative success than the Lakers during the LeBron era.
    Since the 2018-2019 season:
Warriors: 1 Title, 9 Playoff Series Wins
Nuggets: 1 Title, 9 Playoff Series Wins (and counting)
Bucks: 1 Title, 8 Playoff Series Wins (still alive)

Chris is so wrong on this. He's forgotten to take into account expectations, what they did to aquire him and to keep him happy and how some people consider Lebron the G.O.A.T (which he's not). I'm pretty sure overall Lakers would've expected to be competing more than they have. Chris' argument regarding what other teams have won since is such a lame argument. For instance not sure many people expected Kawhi to go to Toronto and win! How often someone is injured or not could determine wether a period of time has been a success or not.
Lakers expectations would be surely to win multiple championships and at least reach the confernece finals every year and not miss out on the play offs in any of those years.
Rob started looking at his phone cos he knew he already won the argument without needing to say much. Just cos you shout or talk the most doesn't mean you're right.
