I also think it depends on your perspective of performance. Having tried this a number of times I don’t think there are any issues with the longevity overall and yes, it could be stronger in projection but that (IMO) would detract from the relative softness and vibe of the scent overall. It’s not Tom Ford Black Orchid in terms of punch but it’s a very different scent. The price is no doubt a challenge for most though - totally understandable as it’s top end. Hope you get your nose on it one day (oh - and it’s £250 not $250 so more like $340!!)
@@g.m.507 No issue with that but personally I don’t equate quality with performance. There are plenty of poor quality scents on the market which outperform the most expensive by a long way. I could easily smell this on me 8 hours after spraying (3 sprays) and that compares well with so called ‘beast mode’ scents I have and given the occasions I would reach for a scent like this it’s more than adequate but that’s only one opinion (although typically I get less performance than most on my skin) and everyone’s opinion is equally valid. You pays your money you takes your choice :).

What did she say that Demi didn't disclose in her introduction video of her fragrance? She said and warned several times that the fragrance didn't have crazy projection. She said it was very subtle and sat close to the skin. She said it was intimate. Sounds like she described it to a T. I didn't find any dishonesty in how Demi described her fragrance.
@@bmsykos What Demi seems to forget is to disclose how her father-in-law (Pierre’s father) is the owner of Parfums de Marly, BDK, Initio, the distributor of Mizensir in the middle east. It is not just lying it’s against FTC laws so illegal. When I tried to ask I got blocked.

Why hasn’t Demi acknowledge this review yet? Correct me if I’m wrong but she has responded to every other “good” review other than this one which is very disappointing! This review is honest and informative and as I am currently still waiting to receive my bottle I know what to expect! This perfume really is a very “personal” purchase, so that being said no one really is right or wrong.
Actually Demi just responded with thanks to Eva Monroe an hour ago on her review of Minuit on the same day as her posting. Eva basically said the same things as Josephine about the fragrance, ie..smells lovely but doesn't project. So, yeah..perhaps it's a battle of the felines thing. It's not too late for Demi to be gracious and respond though. Let's see.
It should be noted that I don't believe she tested it on a guy. From what I gathered she only tested it on herself. I'm a firm believer in skin chemistry playing a large part in how it'll smell.
I had cancelled my order after Demi’s description of the scent.. I doubted the coffee smelling parfume, caramel.. unisex aspect.. and now after what you described, I am relieved that it was a good idea.. for me.

I’m not surprised by the performance as I own Santal Complet and the longevity and projection are quite disappointing for the price. Was hoping this would be stronger considering the price.

I am aware that she did. Apparently I will receive mine second week in february so I won’t know for a while how it performs. With that said, Santal Complet lasts about two hours on my skin until it completely disappears, so I am hoping for better longevity with this price! Projection is not that important for me but I do expect a certain longevity at this price (6 hrs is reasonable imo).

I am surprised Demi has not acknowledge your review. 🤔. Thank you so much for bringing out the points you decided to talk about. If my fragrance is expensive, I want it to smell like something special and perform outstandingly. I don't want a perfum that projects for miles, but I want it to smell the whole day. I have a hard time wrapping my head around blind buying expensive perfumes, and to me and my budget a perfume over $150 is expensive, but if I had tried it and love it, I have no issues paying the price, but no blind buys for me anymore. I've been burnt too many times. 😭
I agree the opening goes quite quickly but the longevity I’ve found to be very solid in the few tests I’ve given it - definitely in the 6-8 hour range which I think is fine for the vast majority of cases. Projection is not huge (which is a plus for this type of scent IMO) - one spray on the hand I could smell from arms length for a good few hours. Fair comment on the price point though - no doubt it’s steep but a chunk of that goes on the packaging no doubt.

Great take. I was intrigued but had a feeling this would lean towards the female vs being a true unisex/leaning masculine. Glad I bought Intoxicated by Kilian instead.
Intoxicated is a absolutely fantastic fragrance, in my opinion a very good decision 👍My top Kilians are: Black Phantom, Back to Black, Straight to Heaven (and Extreme), Vodka on the Rocks, Apple Brandy, Angels Share and of course Intoxicated.
Thanks for the review. I decided to pass because it was just more than I wanted to spend on a blind buy. Sounds nice, but think I will be fine to do without based on your thoughts regarding the drydown. The performance isn't as big an issue for me but at this price I want the scent itself to be quite special.

I pay a lot for FdB because of their expensive ingredients, like their exquisite ouds. I just don’t see the expensive ingredients in this fragrance. FdB’s frag collection without Oud (Nature’s Treasures) is priced lower for that reason. I’m not sure why this was priced higher.

Great in depth review! I also had to wake up at 6:30 am (so I feel you there), but I still haven't received the perfume because I live in Spain. After watching your video I'm almost 100% positive that I'm going to love the scent, but I can't wait see how it performs on my skin and whether I think it's unisex or not. As for the price, considering we had to blind buy, that it was only available in 100ml bottles and that it doesn't contain oud, the people at FdB should have been a bit more reasonable with the price (since they do have several fragrances cheaper than this one). I'm not saying this is what happened but MAYBE they saw how popular Demi is and figured that many people would purchase a bottle no matter what so decided they could get away with keeping a higher price tag... Maybe?

I disagree about the tobacco. That is one of the first things that I smelled along with a sweet but not too sweet caramel, sugary smell with hint of cafe. Definitely would not say this is unisex, but a beautiful fragrance that stays close to my skin for at least 6 hours, not as long as I hoped, but when I am outside in the heat it seems to smell sweeter and last a bit longer. A bit pricey for how long it lasts on me but I do love it. Opening was delicious! It's a 👍❤!
Honest and sincere reviews are very useful for brands and noses. Only having honest opinions they could have the possibility to make a product better and better. Your skills are precious for them! And for us, of course. Honestly I would probably buy it because I can ignore the performance (six hours could be ok) and I am pretty interested in all the rest. The packaging is actually stunning! I'm not really curious enough to buy this fragrance but watching the reviews is appeasing. When it comes to spending over 100 for a perfume lasting power is a must, along with great projection. If a fragrance is predominately a skin scent I'd rather just buy perfume oil for it. So to each is own, it's just not something I'm on board with unless a fragrance is on the same level as angel muse performance.
Great review. New to ur channel. Ur review is not super contrary to Demi’s description, which seems a respectful nod. For me, I was disappointed when I heard the collab was w FdB. Not a huge fan of the house. Love the openings but, the projection and longevity are lacking for the several I have tried. Fine at a $175 price point. Not at a $350 pp. I am super happy for Demi or any in the frag community to chase his/her dream and make perfume. I think this will be enough of a commercial success based on Demi’s rep, that will only b the beginning. The perf is a watch out for future creations to retain brand reputation. That said, this perfume is a pass for me during the “blind buy only” phase bc of reviewed performance and my personal experience w FdB.
I have blind buy fragrances they cost more than 500 euro (for example Roja Parfums Sweetie Aoud), but I was absolutely certain I like the fragrance. Minuit et Demi is an exception, I'm not sure about the fragrance and have bought anyway... 😅

It was too much for me to blind buy but yes I enjoy the thought of cardamom with a caramel macchiato (this is what I imagine now). Still I don't mind poor performance if I really love the scent but it also depends on the price ^^ Thanks for your honest review ! 😊
Wow this is so honest a lot of the reviews were just extremely positive which there is nothing wrong with that but it just made me wonder how genuine those reviews were Demi stated the fragrance sits close to the skin I kind of wondered about the performance the longevity and no one was really mentioning it which was weird to me because that is a huge component of a fragrance well for me anyways especially because of the price that is why I did not purchase it when it came out because I did not want to blind buy such an expensive fragrance and be disappointed.
Maybe I don't understand something but if it lasts 6 to 7 hours, the longevity is pretty good then 🤔 At least to most people. But you're right about sillage, that's a shame if it's soft for this price

Great honest review 👌. I am little disappointed that her perfume is more expensive than Jeremy’s! Though Jeremy’s fragrance have very minimalist packaging (almost hardware store boxes) compared to high prices but the performance and juice quality are superb. Same is for Steve’s perfume (both packaging and performance are great).
She did mention that she couldn’t do much about the price as most of the brand’s fragrances have a fixed entry level price. You are buying into a luxury brand definitely and the packaging is for sure more beautiful than Fragrance One! Still the price is very steep!

250 English Pounds is 343.28 USD ( United States Dollars ) and 448.67 Australian Dollars ( The Price of Creed’s Aventus in Australia ). So, no thanks. UA-camrs creating fragrances that have Niche price tags attached to them and expecting people to blind buy is crazy. I used to wear Versace’s “The Dreamer” many years ago before it was reformulated and that would last up to 16 hours on me and I did not have to pay some crazy price for it. If people have money to splash around, then fair enough but the majority of people should not have to pay a big price for a good fragrance.

Yes, I love Santal Complet by smell. It is so heavenly, but the performance is really bad for me 2. So for that price I gave it a pass - sadly.

Great in depth review! I also had to wake up at 6:30 am (so I feel you there), but I still haven't received the perfume because I live in Spain. After watching your video I'm almost 100% positive that I'm going to love the scent, but I can't wait see how it performs on my skin and whether I think it's unisex or not. As for the price, considering we had to blind buy, that it was only available in 100ml bottles and that it doesn't contain oud, the people at FdB should have been a bit more reasonable with the price (since they do have several fragrances cheaper than this one). I'm not saying this is what happened but MAYBE they saw how popular Demi is and figured that many people would purchase a bottle no matter what so decided they could get away with keeping a higher price tag... Maybe?

I disagree about the tobacco. That is one of the first things that I smelled along with a sweet but not too sweet caramel, sugary smell with hint of cafe. Definitely would not say this is unisex, but a beautiful fragrance that stays close to my skin for at least 6 hours, not as long as I hoped, but when I am outside in the heat it seems to smell sweeter and last a bit longer. A bit pricey for how long it lasts on me but I do love it. Opening was delicious! It's a 👍❤!

Packaging and her exclusive black-diamond bottle style is AMAZING.
I'm not really curious enough to buy this fragrance but watching the reviews is appeasing. When it comes to spending over 100 for a perfume lasting power is a must, along with great projection. If a fragrance is predominately a skin scent I'd rather just buy perfume oil for it. So to each is own, it's just not something I'm on board with unless a fragrance is on the same level as angel muse performance.

Great review. New to ur channel. Ur review is not super contrary to Demi’s description, which seems a respectful nod.
For me, I was disappointed when I heard the collab was w FdB. Not a huge fan of the house. Love the openings but, the projection and longevity are lacking for the several I have tried. Fine at a $175 price point. Not at a $350 pp.
I am super happy for Demi or any in the frag community to chase his/her dream and make perfume. I think this will be enough of a commercial success based on Demi’s rep, that will only b the beginning. The perf is a watch out for future creations to retain brand reputation. That said, this perfume is a pass for me during the “blind buy only” phase bc of reviewed performance and my personal experience w FdB.

I have blind buy fragrances they cost more than 500 euro (for example Roja Parfums Sweetie Aoud), but I was absolutely certain I like the fragrance. Minuit et Demi is an exception, I'm not sure about the fragrance and have bought anyway... 😅

It was too much for me to blind buy but yes I enjoy the thought of cardamom with a caramel macchiato (this is what I imagine now). Still I don't mind poor performance if I really love the scent but it also depends on the price ^^

Wow this is so honest a lot of the reviews were just extremely positive which there is nothing wrong with that but it just made me wonder how genuine those reviews were Demi stated the fragrance sits close to the skin I kind of wondered about the performance the longevity and no one was really mentioning it which was weird to me because that is a huge component of a fragrance well for me anyways especially because of the price that is why I did not purchase it when it came out because I did not want to blind buy such an expensive fragrance and be disappointed.

It’s all very subjective isn’t it? Ultimately you need to figure out what criteria is most important to you when you purchase a luxury fragrance 😊

Great honest review 👌. I am little disappointed that her perfume is more expensive than Jeremy’s! Though Jeremy’s fragrance have very minimalist packaging (almost hardware store boxes) compared to high prices but the performance and juice quality are superb. Same is for Steve’s perfume (both packaging and performance are great).
She did mention that she couldn’t do much about the price as most of the brand’s fragrances have a fixed entry level price. You are buying into a luxury brand definitely and the packaging is for sure more beautiful than Fragrance One! Still the price is very steep!

So, no thanks. UA-camrs creating fragrances that have Niche price tags attached to them and expecting people to blind buy is crazy. I used to wear Versace’s “The Dreamer” many years ago before it was reformulated and that would last up to 16 hours on me and I did not have to pay some crazy price for it.
If people have money to splash around, then fair enough but the majority of people should not have to pay a big price for a good fragrance.
Och, finally! 🤗 I had been waiting for this video 😅 kudos to you for objective and detailed review 👍 it must be not an easy task to make a review of fragrance being fellow youtuber’s co-creation. Anyway, I do agree with you and others, that nobody needs a “headache” preformance, BUT when we speak of this level of price and brand, we would expect much better staying power 🙄 after all, some nite dates do take us more than 7 hours, don’t they? 😂😉🥰😘
