In June, Uranus transitions into Taurus after spending seven years in Aries, symbolizing a shift from warlike disruptions (Aries) to economic transformations (Taurus). Yet we mustn’t think planets leaving the sign of war puts an end to war. While it may take some of the surprise element away, as in, we are now aware of it, unfortunately, it doesn’t necessarily end them.
Replacing Uranus in Aries is Mars, its ruler. Expect a surge of energy, both in personal wilfulness and assertiveness, as well as in wars. Uranus' unpredictable influence in Taurus suggests significant economic changes - because of wars.
The one saving grace comes in the form of restrictive Saturn, an ally in Aquarius assuaging things from getting out of hand. Yet it remains to be seen how much Saturn can hold back Mars. Still, Saturn in Aquarius restricts Mars in Aries from becoming too impulsive and reckless.
As Saturn slows its transit all month, leading to its retrograde by June 29, we feel the pushback against what we have envisioned for our futures in Aquarius. While these delays conflict with what we desire (Jupiter and Venus in Taurus) and value, Pluto’s continued retrograde in Saturn’s other sign Capricorn, leads to deeper changes in what we do because of these delays.
Mars is the front runner in all of this in Aries, which means we may wish to run away from these big issues somehow. But we can also use Mars’ energy to focus on doing what we can while accepting what we cannot.
The transits of June can be channelled to create focus and discipline, despite the setbacks of our long-term goals. And actually, we can use the setbacks themselves to get more focused.
Now that Uranus is exiting Aries after seven years of chaos, Mars and Saturn can help us rally all our resources to do what we must to get ahead. We must be mindful of pushing something ahead that is not ready yet.
Globally, many things will be rattled as Mars moves into a square with Pluto, the first ‘opening square since their conjunction in October 2023.
Saturn, Mars, and Venus each occupy their signs-Aquarius, Aries, and Taurus respectively-allowing their energies to manifest more effectively and tangibly. This alignment could facilitate building new stability in our lives. There may be some discomfort, prompting us to seek a deeper meaning, but we can channel these planets’ strengths to dig deep and do what we must.
Yet we may question why we are doing what we’re doing, either because it’s not enjoyable or because it’s not happening quickly enough.
Despite these challenges, the alignment of Venus and Jupiter in Taurus gives us a chance to appreciate what we have right now, whatever we want for the future.
This period encourages a steadier, more grateful, and graceful, approach to life's challenges and the pursuit of deeper, more meaningful experiences amidst external turmoil.
