    hi thumbsuprun! i was watching your previous videos on tips for buying tickets (using multiple devices) and was wondering your opinion on proxies. like do they work or is it okay to use?

    • @thumbsuprun
      @thumbsuprun  4 роки тому

      Mixed results on proxies! Some swear by them, others have run into major issues. Digital fingerprinting is real as well so you need to really be careful when you start using proxies on the same devices to buy tickets over and over.
      Long story long, proxies can work if they are clean, but don’t expect them to work for too long. Especially if there is any overlap on account information at all, you can run the risk of getting accounts linked together.

    Hi thumbsuprun! I bought 2 tickets via ticketmaster to a Toronto Blue Jay's game in July this year, it's a mobile ticket & the ticket transfer / resale option doesn't seem visible. The barcode is not a static one & has a blue line going back & forth saying 'screenshots won't get you in'. Is there a way to sell this? :( I don't want to list it on Stubhub till I can or do you think the transfer option might open up?

    If my event says i get the tickets on November 8th and the event is on Nov 12, if i list them can i have the tickets shipped to the person im selling to? or do i have to get them and then send them?
    Also, what is their recommended selling price based on? Are the people buying them from me going to have to pay stubhub also on top of my price?
    I ask because lets say I paid 10dlls plus 5dlls for stub hub.
    Now I check listings and they are selling at 15dlls plus 7dlls for stub hub.
    And stubhub is recommending i sell at 22dlls. Does this mean the buyer is only gonna pay 22dlls and thats it or 22dlls plus 11dlls for stubhub?
    Thanks for checking!

    Question about adding your own credit card details. If somethings goes wrong for whatever reason (tickets not able to be transferred), will they charge your credit card for the $ the tickets were listed at? Ive never sold before and if there are any hick-ups i dont want to be liable for a largely inflated ticket cost, and be out my tickets. Thanks

    • @thumbsuprun
      @thumbsuprun  2 роки тому +2

      They will charge the credit card generally only if your sale is cancelled (meaning the event gets cancelled or postponed after your sale is completed). Your card would then be charged for the sale price (the amount you received) and then you would be able to get a refund directly from Ticketmaster for the tickets you purchased from them. In the end, you would be back at 0. However, they wouldn’t charge you for the sale price if the event was cancelled/postponed and you never were paid. Essentially you should always be back to the position where you started from.
      For selling on Ticketmaster, all sales which have events directly integrated through Ticketmaster won’t have issues with ticket delivery because Ticketmaster simply issues new barcodes to the buyer. So you don’t need to do any process once they sell which is nice. So you would not get charged ever for an issue with ticket delivery or anything like that - it’s all done by Ticketmaster themselves

    • @thumbsuprun
      @thumbsuprun  2 роки тому +4

      Start by practicing with ‘paper trading’. Just look at an event that’s going on sale, go through the ticket buying process but instead of finalizing your purchase, just pretend you’ve purchased those tickets. Then check with Stubhub/others and see how much those tickets could have potentially made you. Do this a few times and see how you do! Start with local events, or big tours you think may do well :)

    • @thumbsuprun
      @thumbsuprun  3 роки тому

      If someone is trying to sell you tickets on Twitter, then the best way to have them send you the tickets would be through the transfer option, and to pay them outside of Ticketmaster directly. As long as tickets can be transferred to you then you should be fine though so be careful buying tickets this way. The sell button is only to sell tickets through the Ticketmaster resale platform. If an event is not enabled through it then they cannot list them directly through there. Again though, as long as tickets can be transferred then you will be able to receive the tickets no problem at all

    • @thumbsuprun

      PayPal is good so long as you are paying through the Goods And Services invoicing. That way you have a buyer protection for anything that goes wrong with the tickets. If you send money via friends and family then you won’t be protected (though then there is no fee either) so just be sure to weigh the risks :)

    Hello, I’m having quite a problem right now. I bought bad bunny tickets in Canada last year and I live in the United States. I sadly can’t attend anymore so I wanted to resell them. The resell button is greyed out on Ticketmaster and it states I can’t resell Bc I’m not in Canada and do not have a Canadian bank account. Is there anyway around this? I am trying through seatgeek and it seems I can send a pdf of the qrl codes screenshot, but is that it? Will they ask me to transfer to the original tickets? Bc it seems like ticketmaster won’t let me do that either. It states the tickets can’t be resold on other platforms.

    • @thumbsuprun
      @thumbsuprun  2 роки тому

      Selling through Ticketmaster for a different country requires you to have a bank account set up in that country so there’s no way around that if you want to sell it through Ticketmaster directly. For selling on SeatGeek, it won’t allow standard sellers to list tickets with rotating barcodes, but if you’re barcodes are not rotating then yes, you can list and sell those screenshots on SeatGeek. If the transfer button is available, you can also list your tickets as mobile transfer through Stubhub. If transfer is grayed out, see if there is a delivery delay on the tickets from the original event page

      If you have a ticket that you’re ready to sell, then you should definitely go ahead and list it!
      When selling through various apps or 3rd party websites, you are protected overall so long as you deliver valid tickets to the buyer when you make a sale. Some buyers may attempt to claim tickets were invalid but you are able to obtain what they call a “scan report”from the venue which will give you the proof you need to keep your sale

      It is my understanding that the tour will open up ticket transfers about 48 hours before the event takes place - you can check to see if there is a delivery delay by opening up ticketmaster from a mobile browser or computer and heading to your tickets page. If it says your tickets will be available to manage by a certain date and time, then you can simply list the tickets as mobile transfer right now on a site that allows mobile transfer (Stubhub, TickPick, etc) and then deliver the tickets 48 hours prior to the event

    hey, bought a ticket for an upcoming even in July off of SH and have some worries about receiving the ticket. When I purchased a resale off of Tickpick a few months ago, it was transferred almost immediately. This one has not been transferred yet, the seller ended up reaching out to me via email to let me know the ticket would most likely not be transferred until 3 days prior to the event. Apparently, the seller has also bought these tickets via stubhub and the original seller changed the delivery date due to unknown circumstances. I know there is an option when selling to make the delivery date 3 days prior, but I wonder why the seller doesn't transfer immediately if they already have the ticket? Is there an actual reason for this? Or am I somehow being conned haha.

    • @thumbsuprun
      @thumbsuprun  2 роки тому +1

      So some events do have delivery delays on them which is why tickets aren’t transferred immediately. Other times sellers will purchase tickets off others directly on the marketplace and sell those to a final user (like you in this case). As a result of that, the seller can’t deliver your tickets until they are actually sent to them first from the original seller. Some sellers have instant delivery set up, others need to do it manually, and other times events simply have delivery delays. If purchasing off Stubhub, you shouldn’t have any issues in terms of receiving your tickets in time for the event, but it may take until the estimated delivery date to receive them is all. If you get past that 3 day window though then definitely reach out to Stubhub and ask for some kind of compensation or replacement tickets

      Generally the answer is no unless the ticket explicitly states there is limited viewing. I have tried to edit this but can't seem to get an option to change this. I thought about deleting them and just re-entering them together but when I attempted to do this, it tells me I cant re-activate them once deleted.

    • @thumbsuprun

      The warning about tickets not being able to be deactivated after deletion just means that you can’t ‘restore’ the listed tickets through Stubhub. It doesn’t matter though because you can always just create a new listing. So all you need to do is delete the two single seat listings, and then create a new listing with the two tickets together. Simple fix 😁

      Technically the seller could keep a copy and try to use the ticket themselves too, but if you aren’t able to attend the event with the ticket, the seller will not get paid for that sale + incur a penalty. From your end, you would be given replacement tickets to ensure you could still get into the event. So the risk is exceptionally low as long as you bought them through a ticket exchange platform with a buyer protection guarantee program in place

    • @thumbsuprun
      @thumbsuprun  2 роки тому +1

      If you want to cancel a sale, you can do so from the sales portal and find the specific sale. At the bottom you click ‘Make Changes’ and you can select ‘I don’t have the tickets’.
      I would NOT recommend this though as you’ll be charged up to 200% of the sale as a penalty. Instead, you have two options that make more sense.
      1) fulfill the order, and then buy your own new set of tickets for the event
      2) find replacement tickets that are equivalent to what you sold and deliver those instead.
      Replacement tickets can be a bit tricky, so reach out to me if you have any questions on it. My recommendation would be option 1 - just fulfill the order and then buy new seats later

Any ideas what to do? Also, I bought “wheelchair or companion” tickets but verified via email with the venue that I don’t have to be disabled to use them since they were the last ones left. Double check the event as Stubhub standard should normally be 48 hours before an event for mobile transfer and pdf download tickets. If they are hard stock seats, it should be 4 days before the event. Attempt to list the tickets at a very high price, and then try to change the in hand date afterwards to see if it works

      You can list it with the disclosure of it being a wheelchair accessible seating and see if it sells, but if you list it as a normal seat (assuming like you said the venue will allow anyone to sit there) then you can list and sell the tickets with no disclosure. You won’t be able to resell them on Stubhub or most other resale platforms for the most part. You’ll need to find one that allows for special delivery. Try to contact TickPick and see if they can offer you the option of listing an in person delivery. • @thumbsuprun

      In general that’s a normal thing to happen, usually there is a countdown as to when tickets would generate the barcode in that space. When you log on from your desktop, does the ticket page say there is a delivery delay? And is the ‘sell’ button greyed out on ticketmaster? If it’s active, then you can easily sell it through TM directly and no issues at all. If it isn’t/transfer is also greyed out, then it’s possible you have a delay on the tickets. You can always reach out to ticketmaster directly to confirm when the barcode should be activated, or can even call the venue to confirm if there is a delay on the barcodes as they will generally have a better idea of specific events at their venue

    • @thumbsuprun
      @thumbsuprun  Рік тому

      In theory you would be able to sell these tickets on Stubhub or other platforms, but only if the transfer button at some point in the future will open up. Normally an event has a delivery delay in place and only after that they will open up tickets to be allowed to transfer. Take a look on the orders page and see if one is stated (you won’t see it from the app), or go to the event page itself and check the info section to see if they announced a delivery delay. As long as transfer opens up in the future, no issue selling the tickets as mobile transfer and delivering the tickets later once available to do so

      Thank you so much for the help! The ticket transfer actually just opened up. The only option Ticketmaster gives me is to email them. So does this mean that on StubHub I should select mobile transfer? I don’t see an email option transfer on StubHub. At the end of your video you said that StubHub would give the email address of the buyer to send them. I guess I just thought that I would have to transfer the Ticketmaster tickets to StubHub before I sell them, but maybe that is not the case?

    • @thumbsuprun
      @thumbsuprun  Рік тому

      Ticket transfer is done through email so that makes sense to list and sell them as mobile transfer. You do not need to transfer them to Stubhub first, you are only using Stubhub as a listing platform but your ticket will still reside inside of Ticketmaster until you need to transfer them to your buyer. You will then transfer it directly to the buyer at that point. The ticket will never actually sit inside of Stubhub at all. Hope that helps!

    • @thumbsuprun

      Transferring tickets to a buyer is very easy and simple, even if your window of time is limited. Log onto Stubhub from the computer or mobile website (not the app) and go to your sales page. On the sales section, it’ll display the transfer email to deliver your tickets to. Once the tickets are ready to be transferred, you’ll just have to jump into Ticketmaster and transfer the tickets to the buyer based on the email provided from Stubhub. Once done, you just have to tick a box saying the transfer is completed and that’s that!
      The transfer process takes only a few seconds so it’ll be nice and quick!

    • @thumbsuprun

      Ahh so yes, Wells Fargo has barcode integration for sold tickets. So what you need to do is actually download the tickets once you receive them and you will manually enter in the barcodes from the tickets into StubHub directly. Once you type them in and hit submit, the tickets will actually transfer themselves and generate new barcodes for the buyer. It’s actually even easier to do this than go through the process of transferring tickets 😁

    You can't change the "will have tickets by" date and the "sale ends on" date option, cannot change that as well. for example, event is the 14th, will have tickets by is the 7th basically 1 week. sale ends date is 2 days later. But yet, If I buy hard tickets from other vendors besides SH, they will overnight the tickets. IMO, that's bullshit.

    • @thumbsuprun
      @thumbsuprun  2 роки тому +1

      Couple of things
      1) every exchange is entitled to their own sales policies on cut off times. Stubhub doesn’t like to have listings up past 2-3 days prior to an event taking place if you’re listing hard stock tickets because they choose not to offer an express overnight delivery option. Other sites may offer an overnight option or even special delivery on the day of the show.
      2) you technically can change the in hand date of tickets on SH if you contact them, but again for hard stock tickets you’d only be able to push the date as far back as the cut off point (generally 2-3 days before the event).
      3) if you have an instant delivery option, you can generally list tickets all the way up to the start of the event
      Stubhub sales policies are certainly not the most broker friendly, but like you said, other exchanges offer better options. You can always choose to exclude exchanges you list and sell tickets on

    3. how will i know if its an actual person buying the tickets from me and not some scammer ?

    • @thumbsuprun
      @thumbsuprun  2 роки тому +1

      1 - normally would recommend selling it
      A few months before the concert takes place since prices will historically fall as you approach the show (not a rule, just a general trend)
      2 - if the event gets cancelled, you’ll receive a refund for the original price you paid on the tickets. It shouldn’t be a double charge of the same amount but a credit instead to bring you back to 0
      3 - the person buying your tickets does go through a fraud check with either the credit card company or the exchange themselves, so you’re generally covered that way. In addition, the exchange is responsible for paying you if you sell your tickets on their platform so you’ll be paid as long as you deliver the tickets no matter what (unless the event is cancelled)

    • @thumbsuprun
      @thumbsuprun  2 роки тому

      Depends on the event, but I like to buy it as soon as it hits your target price. Regardless of whether the price goes up or down after that point is irrelevant. Most people will say to buy last minute but you leave a lot of room for risk of not getting any ticket at all as availability can be scarce or prices never drop. No harm in buying on Ticketmaster or checking there first on your search, but then I would check Stubhub/SeatGeek/tickpick/Gametime and compare between them all to see the best price

      In the past this was not really an issue, however most venues these days are a bit more strict on their ticket policies. If a venue or event is supposed to be hard stock only for the entire venue or just a specific section and the buyer comes in with something different, they may give them a hassle/problem when trying to enter the venue. Some places could allow the buyer in, while others may deny them access potentially and leave you with a denial at the gate charge/busted order. Make sure the delivery type you’re converting to is a valid method of entry and only then would I suggest trying it. Otherwise you may run a bigger risk
