Thank you so much for taking your time to make this video! Does CMYK looks good digitally as well or should the colorist need to send it to me in RGB for the digital version and CMYK for the printed version?
Depends on the colourist, matey...i know some coloruist who work exclusivly in CMYK and their stuff still looks epic digitally. i think it comes down to how people are taught and their prefernce. plus CMYK files tend to be a bit bigger too. thats why a lot colour in RGB and then convert it after.
Question. After I put in the time to create my comic I don’t want to spend all the rest of my time packaging orders How do you get your comics distributed online
Sorry dude, unless you have a publisher who deals with distribution & comic shops, it’s all on you. Having a comic is only half the battle…you also gotta be EVERYTHING else. It’s called the comic BUSINESS…gotta do the business side too
Hey man... Kinda made me sweat a bit watching this one 😕 I have been working on a comic for a long time... Kinda wish I knew this as it is all done in RGB... This might cause me a mega headache... There's over 100 full colour pages to go through now😂 but can I convert the file types? And if I do... Is it all gonna look terrible now? 😟 (Photoshop)
Hey buddy, first of all DONT PANIC! I’m sure it’s gonna be ok. It made need some slight tweaking. But you are going to have look over the previous pages… On each page press control + Y together and that will put that RGB page in the CMYK preview. Then have a look are there any noticeable shifts in colour if so, save a NEW version of that page, select the areas thy are affected from YOUR FLATS layer so you can isolate the affected areas, then go to the colour layer and play with the hue and saturation sliders control + u or under the menu. Have a little play if you can get the colours back to a similar state. Hopefully that helps! If not let me know and we’ll try and think of something else for you! It’ll be ok buddy, don’t worry 👍
@@MattGarveyComics mate thank you so much! I really appreciate you taking the time to respond and coming in with real solution. It honestly means the world to me at this point. I have looked at a couple of pages already and have to say, I am so glad this function exists 😂 it was a concern because I do tend to use quite bright colours. But so far I haven't run into any major issues. 🤞 The difference is very noticeable, but no way near as drastic as I had in my head ... I can imagine some will be worse than others though, so I will keep going. Thanks again mate! You've helped me out in a big way! 🙏

@@MattGarveyComics got it. Lots to consider then.
Thanks man 👍
Do you think it’s worthwhile to have my comic professionally edited?
Can’t hurt buddy.
Might cost a bit though
