      I wish i could get here... every morning i wake up with the mindset of (Today i will walk 2 miles or 10k steps or 1k steps more than yesterday)... by the time i am done finishing up my business on the thinking throne i lost all motivation because i let my negative thoughts overwhelm my positive outlook for my own future due to nobody giving a damn about people like me... people seem to only care about you when you are of value to your society and i am currently not peak value but i try to my best but mental illness is a different beast... wish everyone lived by the bible where it states to emphasizes the importance of loving and caring for one's neighbors and putting their needs before your own. @@MrRaja Dude, all i can say is, put yourself first, you deserve it,there is an age old saying, dont set yourself on fire, to keep others warm, put yourself first as a priority, homeless acts can wait, you obviously want to, but to me it sounds like you are puttiong evryones needs before you, and sending 100 bucks to some nowhere, doesnt change anything, only thing it does, is making it harder for you to live a healthy lifestyle, and, another thing, losing wait doesnt mean you have to work out, or anything, its just rethinking what to eat, abs are made in the kitchen

      @@MrRaja This might sound rude to some people, but you have to be selfish and put yourself first, like the comment above said. Since we only have one life and it's short, we should live our lives to the fullest, and in order to do so, you have to think about yourself and your well-being. Once you feel happy about yourself, you should focus on others. As a person who has previously fought with obesity, all I can say is to take your time, don't be harsh on yourself if you don't see the results immediately, and focus on your own goals instead of worrying what others think, even if it might be hard at the beginning. You got this!

      @@MrRaja Don't worry about walking a specific distance when your in that place of mind, just worry about doing SOMETHING. I've lost 70 pounds and am taking a break from weight loss for a little while, however, I still exercise a tiny amount. It's not like doing what I'm doing is getting me any weight lost, but it's keeping your heart healthy, which is the overall thing that matters. Society does only really care about you if you have value, however, the only one who can bring value to you is yourself. Struggling to get something done is better than not trying at all, seriously don't give up, just try and change what and however much you are eating. There are alot of videos on how you should start this "diet" ... I suggest you look into that and dont go all in from day 1 like i did. It is a very restrictive diet... yes but im never going back! Try it for 6 weeks... If your "why" is strong enough its easy to maintain.

    As a fat person trying to lose weight, Morgan is completely right. I have been miserable for the majority of my life, and to have people starting to say it's healthy to be fat is infuriating. We NEED to stop telling people what they want to hear and start telling them what they need to hear. I've lost 56 pounds so far and the difference is absolutely staggering; I'm STILL obese, but my quality of life improves every day. I'm sad people are being influenced to be dangerously unhealthy.

      If I don't change something bad will happen to me especially since im in my 30s I can't even do a short jog anymore.I dont want people telling me everything is okay I know im healthy.
      If I continue to go at the current rate I am in life and don't make any changes to my diet and exercise more I'm going to have a heart attack.

    • @mrarrow4646
      @mrarrow4646 11 місяців тому +4

      @Ghost-ul8eu you can do it! I had gained weight 15-18kgs. That was depressing in itself, however I did not think much about it. During covid, I gained another 12 kgs. That's when it hit me, that I can't keep on going like this. I joined a workout program and lost the extra 12 kgs within 4-6 months. However, my habits and diet hadn't changed. I still ate US size large pizza on weekends. I couldn't lose those extra 20 kgs.
      Fast forward 1 year- I go home visit my family and do a blood test (after 5 years). I had fatty liver stage 2, multiple vitamin deficiencies, bad cholesterol, and started getting hair fall. Doc said I'm also moving towards diabetes.
      I'm 27, and have been an sports athlete my whole life!
      That gave me a jolt. I started a strict diet and started walking after every meal. Nothing else! 2 weeks later most of my symptoms were reduced by a third, including fatty liver which dropped to stage 1. That gave me a boost and kept the same diet and walking schedule for next 2 -3 months
      I'm now down by 15 kgs with only 5-6 kgs more than what I used to be when I played. Have become mostly healthy again.
      Moral: don't wait until you are diagnosed. Just be conscious of what you eat and do some form of physical activity.

      Well done, keep it up. As long as you are proactive about your weight that is a good thing, you must be committed to it, not just a little bit, but you must be in it for the long haul, as it is a long haul. I would consider surgery also if you are eligible and it is affordable for you. Bariatric surgery is well proven to be worth it, there is a tonne of information out there about it, this is no longer experimental surgery, it is very popular surgery all over the western world especially. Check it out with your local Dr, if not already.
      The guy above may well be able to handle all that extra weight at his age, when he is relatively young. Its when he gets older, and if he is still at that weight or heavier he is really going to struggle. All those metabolic factors will come into play, he'll be pre-diabetic, he'll have problems with lymphedema in his extrmeties, joint problems, especially in his back, fatty liver is a big one, he'll already have signs of that. This can all be reversed by losing a lot of weight, and having all these factors monitored by a Doctor, dietician and maybe a psychologist, or a nurse who specializes in obesity care.
      He may feel reasonably well at his age, but guaran-fucking-teed, he will feel 1000 times better without that extra weight.

    The issue we are facing is that we have expanded our communities to essentially be one global one. This means that like minded people can flock into large sub-communities where behaviour gets enabled. The more people you have backing you up, the more likely you are to disregard advice and instead see the advisor as an adversary to be combatted. There is safety in numbers in that way. Behaviour gets enabl;ed bother good, bad and evil. There literally is a goup of pedophiles out there convincing each other that they are justified in their disgusting behaviour just as there are a bunch of bros talking about meal-prep and how much they can bench.

    I did a small course paper on how fast food delivery services can impact health, and it's basically too early to tell for sure, but the early studies i have found have been saying that it's helpful to the economy, but worse for people's health as it provides the convenience of being able to now get food delivered that normally wouldn't be delivered at all. The thing with people in lower income areas getting hit harder is also true, as when you live in a lower income area, it tends to be the case that a grocer that sells a good quantity of healthy foods will be further away, limiting you on options in terms of healthy foods if you don't have an easy way to get to the healthier stores. That also kind of compounds on itself because in those areas, fast food restaurants will tend to be set up because they stand to gain more money from people who see it as a cheap, good meal, where more well off people will tend to kind of avoid fast food a little bit more often due to the health risks or calories associated with it when they can already make a better tasting and healthier meal at home. This isn't meant to excuse unhealthy eating habits, but I just bring it up because there is some legitimacy to some of the things that can go into someone developing these unhealthy habits from younger ages that aren't NECESSARILY entirely on them.

    My brother has had some medical issues pop up over the past 5 years, for multiple reasons (medication, diet, and temporarily not being to be as active as he was) and bc of it, he's gained a lot of weight. He's about 5'08" and weighs 260 lbs, def much larger than he use to be. None of us bully him by any means, but now that he is able to be more active, we definitely encourage him to exercise more and change his diet, simply bc we are worried about diabetes, his heart, and further complicating his other issues.
    He goes through spurts of trying, especially when we come down on him a little harder, but falls off the wagon. I mean, it is what it is, he's an adult, and we do our best when it comes to encouragement and reminding him of the dangers (which he knows, so its wasted breath) but as the old adage goes "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink." The "want to" has to come from him, bc if it doesn't, whatever flame we do ignite in him is going to be short lived anyways. I just hope he doesn't wait too late and cause irreversible damage before he does decide to do something about it.

    After checking the tape about 10 times and seeing his wife... I've decided to install IG and start gaining lol. Also... it's always tied to economics., always. It's not a "would you" question, it's a "would you rather"... gotta get that money somehow.

    Damn Asmongold literally had the same childhood experiences that I had. I was exposed to stuff on the internet that some people couldn’t even fathom. Stuff I never repeated to anybody. Stuff people would judge you for without understanding how free/open the internet was at that time.

    Growing up poor I can relate. It’s not about knowing what’s good for you or not. My mom was always working and we had what was cheap and convenient. Mostly microwave food.

      There is no excuse. You can still watch what you eat. Meal prep, plan accordingly. Eat what you need to and save what you need to.

    In my op, theres 3 aspects of dealing with a fat person that need to be normal.
    1) poke fun of their fat but dont bully constantly (helps with starting considering weightloss)
    2) treat them normally as best as you can but dont bow to them and don't let them be the common butt of the joke (some people comfort eat to that weight, great for mental health if the mental triggers arent always present)
    3) if you want to really help them, be the person who invites them to physical activities such as going gym, walking, football, etc. (encouragement from people you are close with can help overcome alot of the mental blocks for a fat person to want to workout)
    These 3 things will be the most effective general advice you can give to deal with fat people
    Sincerely,
    - A former morbidly obese dude who fought against childhood obesity

      Not going to lie this is all cool until it takes a toll on your mental health staying on top of this weird balance beam of mental gymnastics to pander to someone who doesn’t care about their own weight enough to simply eat less

    • @MuhammadKhan-py7md
      @MuhammadKhan-py7md 9 місяців тому

      @josh_ets is true, but it's general advice for if you want to help someone, and if you want to help someone, then that relationship has to be somewhat strong
      Another thing is that even if you are doing this for a week and stop, it will plant seeds of wanting to lose weight later
