One thing I'll never forget, nor ever been able to find since seeing it all those years ago; A video of a very early development mission was released, you were riding on top of a BMP, in a convoy of them, going along a street in what I'm sure was St Petersburg, one squad dismounts their BMPs and starts walking along side the convoy then it devolved into firefights among the streets. That's all I really remember of the video, except for a MI-24 appearing at the end of the mission, I've been looking for it for years, but never been able to find it. I've recently started to think it was a mod for CoD2, or maybe even a different game being flaunted as CoD4, like people would put together a weird remix of GTA5 footage and try to call it GTA6, I was pretty young at the time, so I would be susceptible to that sort of thing.
Yeah it's a shame Activision packed a remaster (already held to ransom with a full price game) with Microtransactions and Free-to-play elements that weren't in the original, on top of selling the DLC separately which cost even MORE than the original map pack did. It's a shame even more so that people STILL buy into these things, validating their existence in the first place.
