  • Have you tried to figure out the correct rasgueado technique for the flamenco guitar, but have no idea where to start? This video is for beginners on the flamenco guitar who want to learn the fundamental techniques and strumming patterns for the rumba.
    In this Flamenco4U© lesson you will learn which fingers to use on each beat. You’ll learn how to do a golpe (finger tap), and where and when to do it. I’ll also show you how to position your arm and how to properly anchor your thumb (pulgar). You’ll be walked through this lesson step-by-step, and bar-by-bar, with detailed tablature (TAB) which you can download in a PDF lesson guide. By the end of the lesson, you’ll be able to play the rumba beautifully @ 100BPM! Enjoy!

    Really like your explanation of golpe. This elusive, intriguing technique is benefited by your realistic example of what it sounds like at first. Your message to persevere and know it can smooth out through practice is very encouraging. Thank you.

      You’re so right! It is exactly like that at first!…Elusive
      But you’ve just got to trust that after enough times, those two fingers will eventually work together on time.
      He or she who persists wins!🎸

    The A string on my guitar not sure how to make that sound. Are pressing other strings for it?

    • @Flamenco4U
      @Flamenco4U  3 місяці тому +1

      Hi Ruth! Thanks for stoppin’ by! After playing your A string, rest your thumb on the D string briefly. This will be a rest stroke. Secondly, make sure the edge of your thumbnail is filed nicely-otherwise you won’t be able to produce a quality tone.

  • @CarlWinter-oy8uf
    @CarlWinter-oy8uf 6 місяців тому +1

    Hi Ben --sorry --what are carbon strings ? never heard of carbon fibre strings ?-are they better than nylon ?

    • @Flamenco4U
      @Flamenco4U  6 місяців тому

      They are made from fluorocarbon/nylon. Have a brighter sound with quicker response. Nylon strings to me feel smoother and the tone is more even and traditional.

    I find it best to practice isolating "and 4 and 1", then the rest fits in more easily.
