I've seen a mod for that friendly fire frustration, so obviously other's have had the same problem. It makes it so resistance fighters are unable to target spectral zombies or mind controlled XCom soldiers. It doesn't work with mods that change the resistance fighters though. The Assassin had exactly that combination of traits in my last run (although she was weak to reapers instead since i started there) honestly her having Groundling just looks like a cruel joke because even finding her is hard enough, and it's not like you have a godlike sniper early game to exploit it (Though kudos to you for actually managing to exploit it, she always gets me on her turn)
I remember my first run of war of the chosen. first chosen was the assassin with the ability to ignore overwatch and immunity to explosions. my poor rookies had almost no way to hurt her or even keep her pinned down to set up good shots
Always have fum watching these. I use starting soldiers to get sergeants for early squad size so no shame on you for having all colonels it's a well earned stress relief run
Hahaha I bet that ending montage was cathartic to make! But now it makes me wonder about a challenge: Colonels only.
