“Wear whatever you want, say whatever you want, act like you want”. In your home, not in public, homegirl. There are other people too that may be displeased with what you are wearing if not socially acceptable.
And that seems to be the core issue: complete disregard for what others think, “that is your problem” mentality. Just because you want to wear what you want doesn’t mean you can show up in underwear and disregard what others think. As a society we observe, adapt and try to “fit in” into the socially, commonly accepted rules of conduct. Do not mean to disrespect, just my humble opinion @zhenren9703
The last time I flew on a plane I had a really cute outfit on and looked really stylish and pulled together. Trust me, it made my whole experience beautiful. I waited for nothing, bathrooms were occupied, no sweat, the staff literally walked me to THEIR bathroom on the plane and let me use it. Show respect, get respect.
I like it! I remember my first flight when I was 10 years old. My mom, dad, and I dressed up just like we were going to church. Everyone dressed up and people acted like ladies and gentlemen.
I'm autistic and that environment would have sent me as a kid. Casual comfort on a plane(or anywhere) is more relaxing and enjoyable. Dressed up people make me nervous.
When flying, its not like Wal Mart where you can walk away from the sort of people who walk around in their underwear or pajamas with all their fat hanging out! You are confined to a small space for many hours! I agree with Spirit!!!
We fully understand the type of people that fly Spirit. I'm not shocked at their reactions. The US allows so much disgusting behavior. Every airline needs to do this. Be respectful.
Private companies can make rules that THEY want!!! It's about time people start having some self respect, and look more presentable. When you dress sloppy or like a street walker, your behavior starts to match it. KUDOS TO SPIRIT FOR LEADING THE WAY TO BEING MORE CIVILIZED. 🥰🥰🥰🥰👍👍👍👍
Pretty sad. Airplanes used to be a pretty classy place and people wore relatively nice clothes and treated each other with great respect. Things have been allowed to regress and go backwards way too much.
They interviewed 2 idiots and 1 with common sense. It doesn’t matter what the individual wants to do. EVERY business has a set of rules! You can dress however the heck you want IN YOUR OWN home. Not for everyone else to see!
I'm a business owner also with of 2 employees and I serve many clients. There is a dress code and my workers don't have tattoos. It's about time that rules like this are in place. We don't need to see exhibitionists parading themselves almost naked nor curse worded clothing for all to see. Good for Spirit.

Just a comment for those who do not like this rule. The last thing a business (hotel, restaurant, airline, etc) wants to do is babysit it's customers. They know full well that this will put their gate people in potentially hostile situations which of course they want to avoid, They are doing this because that is how far some of the passengers take it. The lack of regard by some passengers towards the other passengers (and crew) that they all have to share space with has become bad enough that they have to enforce a rule that should almost never have to be enacted.
I say no shorts for men too! Women can wear whatever they want; but gentlemen, let's tighten it up and make sure we're donning a proper pair of trousers, chinos, twills, khakis, slacks, denims, or dungarees - AND with a belt or pair of suspenders! Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter!
Biased reporting and it's obvious. The airline is absolutely right to demand this. It should be common sense, but our morals and sense of personal dignity have gone out the window. What kind of society have we become?
Rather than try speaking & dressing “properly”, people want to drag us down to their rude, ugly, obscene level. Any attempt to complain or suggest respectable behavior is now “discrimination.” It’s real life - you are not starring in a music video.
I never flew spirit, and even if given a lifetime of free flights on spirit. I would not ever fly with spirit under any circumstances. So makes no difference to me
I can see the dress code from a safety perspective. In the unfortunate and unlikely case of an accident, you’d want to wear clothes and shoes that reduce the severity of injuries.
Good for Spirit!! If you don't like it, fly another airline. What some people wear in public is surprising. There used to be a thing in society called respect. Respect for yourself, and others. Thanks Spirit! You may have gained a new customer.
Some people see through the facade created by manipulation and don't give a crap. Question your values and beliefs and you'll realize they're all bs. All of them. You mind your own business, get yourself right, then come back here. Your perspective will be drastically different. Good luck
Their policy reflects common sense. People should never wear see through or suggestive clothing unless they are going to a party. Wearing stuff like this communicates that you are a low-class person.
Wow, Spirit airlines is the last place I would have guessed would start a trend like this, but I’m hopeful other businesses will follow suit now that the precedent has been set.

Smart...anyone who has an issue with something simple like this would cause problems. Smart.
All the airlines need to adopt these types of dress code rules. Going to Vegas is like a strip show at 30,000 feet. When I was a kid we wore dress cloths and polished shoes to fly. People that dressed like bums rode the Greyhound.
They need to also put no “fresh” BBLs allowed on flights. Especially leaving Miami. God knows what’s leaking under those bandages and what risk you pose in the air.
Lots of people are homeless or didn't have parents and family in their upbringing. Yea the hygiene of many people today is punishing where many have bad hygiene or douse themselves in terrible body sprays and crap just be antisocial and defensive.
It’s about time. Other passengers shouldn’t have to be exposed to obscene clothing. Let alone travelling with children who don’t need to be exposed to skimpy clad passengers. Then there’s the safety. Imagine having to evacuate a burning plane in bare feet or a bikini - they will get burned!
Flying coach today is worse than riding a bus. I remember my first flight in 1971 on PanAm to Paris. Plenty of leg and elbow room. Good food. People flying dressed to impress. Smoking section in the rear of the plane was especially fun.
I remember flying coach in the mid 70’s and getting steak and eggs for breakfast and a lunchmeat sandwich for lunch. Plenty of leg room my how things have changed.

@@zhenren9703Did you just judge that person based on their comment? That's your problem, not theirs.
good for Spirit. I hope the other airlines follow the same rules.
You think the airline and universe aligned because you had a cute outfit? Lol wish I had your positivity

Proper (appropriate) dress code is a fantastic idea. Good for them. 👍👍
They should have a conduct code also.
Rapping’ J. Funk-Daddy Slappy’ McHambone is a perfect example of what’s wrong with this world in 2025
I like it! I remember my first flight when I was 10 years old. My mom, dad, and I dressed up just like we were going to church. Everyone dressed up and people acted like ladies and gentlemen.
My first flight we dressed up in T shirts and shorts because we were going to Florida, not a funeral.
@@arvurebantra7639We don’t want to be subjected to your gross arms & legs when flying.
I'm autistic and that environment would have sent me as a kid. Casual comfort on a plane(or anywhere) is more relaxing and enjoyable. Dressed up people make me nervous.
@@arvurebantra7639 Before the 1980s everyone dressed up to fly, The dress code used to business atire to fly, should read a history book.

Awesome . Add smelling fresh too. 😂❤ classy airlines. 👍
right? I had the misfortune of being seated behind some people who smelled pretty bad one time.
@KathrynSrce3719 thats why you gotta pay for front seats! Lol
When flying, its not like Wal Mart where you can walk away from the sort of people who walk around in their underwear or pajamas with all their fat hanging out! You are confined to a small space for many hours! I agree with Spirit!!!
Good for them! Children shouldn't be exposed to such horrible stuff.
if you want to fly their planes, follow their rules. Good on you Spirit
And those 2 will continue to fly Spirit. But they had to appear strong and powerful for their demographic on camera.
Even more reason for me to stick with using them.
I'm a business owner also with of 2 employees and I serve many clients. There is a dress code and my workers don't have tattoos. It's about time that rules like this are in place. We don't need to see exhibitionists parading themselves almost naked nor curse worded clothing for all to see. Good for Spirit.
So Spirit doesn't want to look like late at night Walmart? 😮
Daytime Walmart in my suburb 😞
Anytime Wal Mart lol
The airline favored by people who scream in movie theaters and throw chairs in the Waffle House.
I have no idea who those may be hahahaha.

I’m black and don’t even take offense to your comment lol… it’s definitely a mindset and blacks are not a monolith BUT who you’re describing is embarrassing… ironically enough though rednecks have the same tendencies lol
I completely agree! That's the spirit! 👍
They also need to ban bonnets, pajamas, slippers and blankets. I’ve never flown spirit but when I was connecting flights in Atlanta the people who were going to the spirit wing were the most disheveled most depressing people I have ever seen in my life.
In the 30s and 40s even the poorest man wore a suit, ladies wore a dress
Just a comment for those who do not like this rule. The last thing a business (hotel, restaurant, airline, etc) wants to do is babysit it's customers. They know full well that this will put their gate people in potentially hostile situations which of course they want to avoid, They are doing this because that is how far some of the passengers take it. The lack of regard by some passengers towards the other passengers (and crew) that they all have to share space with has become bad enough that they have to enforce a rule that should almost never have to be enacted.
Modesty is understanding that just because you can, doesn’t mean that you should.
They needed a policy. Good for them!
you mean i cant fly in my G-String and crop top anymore?
Lol 😂😂😂
your flying spirit cause its the cheap seats lol dont act you aint flying it anymore cause they banned you for being half naked
What happened to the days when men would wear suit and ties and females would dress appropriately on their trips?
Evolution.
@AlbertHess-xy7ky de-volution you mean 😅
I’m sure no incidents will happen because of this
Lol 😂😂😂😂 love that
Great! New UA-cam videos!
Stop the pajamas people too 😂
I say no shorts for men too!
@@ScottAllenFinance You probably expect them to wear a button up shirt and a tie too, just to get on a fricken airplane?
@@arvurebantra7639Yes. Why not???
Biased reporting and it's obvious. The airline is absolutely right to demand this. It should be common sense, but our morals and sense of personal dignity have gone out the window. What kind of society have we become?
Rather than try speaking & dressing “properly”, people want to drag us down to their rude, ugly, obscene level. Any attempt to complain or suggest respectable behavior is now “discrimination.”
It’s real life - you are not starring in a music video.
It’s sad that rules like these even need to be made. Modesty is no longer a thing.
I never flew spirit, and even if given a lifetime of free flights on spirit. I would not ever fly with spirit under any circumstances. So makes no difference to me
Good for you Spirit Airline. I like the rebranding already.
Finally 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 People will understand only if they ever had a rough 12 hours flight!
It's sad that it even has to be said.
If you think this rule is inappropriate then you're part of the problem. I blame your parent.
Excellent, excellent point!
I can see the dress code from a safety perspective. In the unfortunate and unlikely case of an accident, you’d want to wear clothes and shoes that reduce the severity of injuries.
If people were respectful and had common sense the rule wouldn't need to be put in place. I would use spirit for travel.
❤
Every company needs to do stuff like this because society is just crap now.
Good luck
@@zhenren9703After reading some of your posts, I think YOU should be the one questioning YOUR values and beliefs.
Smart.
You'll see a new class of people flying with Spirit Airlines!
"Soul Plane" with Snoop Dogg as captain is looking real good right now.
I LOVE that the US seems to have flipped on a dime. Morality, standards, merit, and faith. I’m all for it!!🇺🇸
Faith… lol that’s a bold assertion.
Only the man in the pink sweatshirt understood the right to set their rules. The young man needs to look up double negatives.
The fact that Spirit has to tell its customers to wear shoes truly tells us all that we need to know about the customer base that they are targeting.
It's about time.....also include wearing head phone set during an interview
maybe they should also kick off those who smell bad. Like take a shower or freshen up before travelling. Seriously.
Sad they have to have a dress code.
Whats sad is that it really more boils down to some in societies lack of self respect. Which is a growing segment of society.
@@middleagedcrazy5297Import and celebrate the 3rd world, you get the 3rd world.
This is great! I hope more airlines follow suit. The way so many dress so poorly indicates they don't have any respect for themselves.
When jet travel was an experience instead of transportation showing America off to the world as the leader of the pack which globalized the entire world. Now the global state is well established, we're no longer the leader of the corporations no longer having loyalty to us as valued employees seeing us as slaves and temp employees instead which divided instead of united.
There was a time when dressing up for a plane trip was the norm. I know planes these days are just buses with wings, but come on people; a little civility goes a long way 🤔
This is a good idea! Its common sense! People have become way too nasty in this day in age!
Good for you Spirit Airlines!!At least this news channel had the common sense to put one man who is a businessman on. He understands. The other two are immature and have no idea what they are talking about. Have fun on the greyhound.
Basically the female black 304's have to get it together. I noticed they didn't interview the intended
People that create disturbance fit these categories
I can't believe a man named Rastaway J isn't cool with a dress code. Huge shocker.
Worst statement ever is to say, “I feel like,” nobody cares about what you feel.
This a business. Don’t like it? Find another airline
Good point. One of the worst things in society today is the equalization of "thoughts" and "feelings". They are not the same.
Tickets for flying are way too cheap. Greyhound exists for a reason
It's about frickin time
That speaks volumes to the type of passengers fly that airline. Did it once and never again.
It’s crazy that this is even needed🫤
People actually show up barefoot???
