I ordered that sandwich at Rupert Jee's Hello Deli a few months after this aired...it was yummy. Chicken was a little dry.

I think this is the first time I’ve witnessed an annoyed Rupert. You can tell by the end of the segment was being nice and playing along but he wasn’t happy about Ramsay’s line of questioning.

Well Gordon it's easy to criticize bc you aren't going up against May. Such a wonderful lady but she could have Gordon s*itting his pants if she wanted to. She is/was the co-owner of the deli, you just didn't see her on camera 99% of the time.

Somehow I missed this when this first aired so thanks for posting this. I’m surprised that Rupert participated in this and some of the other skits though. Since Dave’s show has been off the air now for years, you guys can fess up. How did you get Rupert to participate in these bits? Did you use a type of managerial persuasive talk methodology? Did you guys pay him a lot of money? Did you have incriminating photos? Did he suffer brain trauma from which you took unkind advantage? Come on. Share!

Gordon Ramsey is successful but he can be arrogant. Not every restaurant he has opened was successful and most of the restaurants he tries to save close. Rupert Jee’s Hello Deli is not a high end establishment but it’s pretty good for what it is. Gordon criticizing a sandwich shop is stupid. The Hello Deli has been opened for over 30 years and I’m sure Gordon would love to have a successful NYC restaurant that would be opened for over 30 years.
