Your approach to the shadow was good by duplicating the car. Normally when I do that, I'll distort the shadow where it matches to the rear tires so you don't over brush on it. The wires on the bridge could've been done with the burn tool, set the mode to highlights and brush away to your liking. This is the fun part about poster designs, it's all about exploration.
