I started of as an apprentice carpenter on a building site at 15, and finished my working life as a Butler to the Saudi Royal Family in Cairo. Not bad for a little runt from Salford.

Hi, I'm doing well. I don't remember, do you have a vibrating table for better mixing of gypsum mortar and removing air bubbles? Maybe a couple of hours, on such a table, to hold the workpiece so that the air bubbles go away? And at the back, on the ceiling socket, add recesses, grooves, in the form of strips or in the form of a grid, for better attachment to the ceiling, with putty. I think I saw you, you were gluing tiles on the wall like that. There was a cement mortar on the wall, on which you made grooves, in the form of a grid, for better fastening of the tile.

Hi mate .. yes can leave these shrated on back to help adhesive and add ropes or timber lath where fits for depth for sure. We screw and glue these up so the are well fixed why I don't mind back smothish but more looking for flat so it sits on ceiling good. A vibration table would be great for concrete moulds more this stuff sets in 30mins solid very little working time if you watch you will notice very little to no editing done thanks again for the brilliant comments my friend
