    Best infinity loop explanation on internet. I quite enjoy your video not only because your detail explanation but also your motion looks so natural and really can project that into water. Will definitely keep practicing! Thanks mate, keep up with the good work!

    Agree, this was the best loop video I've seen. No cones, no limits. Towards the end, you moved well beyond slavish infinity loops, and started ripping-- with snaps and cutbacks, and "fins-out" slides. That is what it is all about, just improvisational ripping in your driveway! I am going to save this video (and subscribe/ding the bell), and get out and practice. Can you give some tips on avoiding wheel bite, please? It is holding me back. Cheers mate.

      Thanks so much! Appreciate it! That's it, bringing your mind surfing to life and having fun with it! unfortunately any tips to avoid wheel bite, I get it too. It's probably due to pushing too hard on your turns - that's how I get it. But pushing hard on your turn means your carrying speed and power through your turns, so you don't really want to tone back on that cause it's funner when you can lay into a turn with everything you got. it may also be a matter of wearing your wheel done just a touch - I find after I've worn mine down a bit, I don't notice it as much - probably due to them not being as grippy, so they slide off your deck instead of catching.

      You can try some smaller wheels or risers. I recently went down to 60mm wheels from the stock 70mm that came with my complete deck and haven't had it once, even after loosening my trucks.

      @@YeWLayton Nothing about it at the description. Anyway, I tried to do the loop but couldn't keep my speed, then I realized that unlike you, I'm in flat ground, Is it critical?

    • @YeWLayton
      @YeWLayton  2 роки тому

      @@Aa-vo4sh Buggar, thought I included it in there. Can't remember that track maybe try using the Shazam app. No, you can still perform it on flat ground. you just got to make sure you really compressing and extending out each turn to help generate that speed. To help with speed, try implementing a lilttle double pump out of each turn or when you feel like you're losing speed. For eg. FS cutback then a little double pump to hit the BS cutback, then little double pump to hit the FS cutback again and focus on compressing and extending and driving from rail to rail to help maintain speed, then try without the double pump.

    How does the weight shift at each stage from front to back?

    • @YeWLayton
      @YeWLayton  2 роки тому

      it means shifting your weight on your toe side - so you lean forward - then shifting to heel side - so you lean backward

    Your videos are the best for surfskating, thanks so much!! 💯
    What about doing a "How to"-Summary to learn surfskating? I've found my stand, getting better in generating speed, but what's up next? Which maneuvers would you practice now?
    Keep on riding! 🤘

    • @YeWLayton
      @YeWLayton  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks so much! Appreciate it! I'd recommend practicing carves and cutback next. Now that you've found your flow and generating speed, you can now start practicing laying it down on the rail. Practice both backside and front side. Once you've got carves down pat, it'll be easier to progress into doing roundhouse cutbacks, as they're essentially a front side and backside carve link together. Once you're confident with those maneuvers, you can try sliding the tail. YEW! Keep it up!

    The difficulty is in making a full circle with just one pump... I can not do that. .. Basically is one full circle on one side followed by another circle on the other side.. My problem is that my motion stops in the middle of the circle, and I have to keep pumping. then is not a full rounded circle.

    • @YeWLayton
      @YeWLayton  2 роки тому +1

      It's all about staying compressed through that transition and maintaining that momentum from toe side to heel side when you extend. It's just practice, you'll get it YEW!
