SB19 is pure talent thy dont have a big company to support them and yet they were able to make themselves the PPOP Kings from creating songs, own choreograypy and even making their own music video and directing their own concert is hard to achieved and hard to follow and its one a million to have an amazing talent in just one group. HORIZON is just so lucky be supported by Big companys in Korea and in the Phils thats why its not impossible for them to be instantly famous bcoz of connections, proper marketing and full financial support. Although i am an Atin i also admire these boys bcoz they also work hard to achieved their dreams and their journey is not also easy imagine the process to be chosen and to have topnotch Filipino and korean judges is tough plus some of them also came from poor families and we all know how hard to be in a korean company. If Horizon will be successful then its also because of hardwork and if they will be successful then its their destiny like SB19. Let us just be proud for Horizon if they make it like other successful Kpop bcoz whatevr happends HORIZON are Filipino talents and its also our pride if they make it big and it will open doors to FILIPINOs for foreigners to invest to flipino talents. SB19 is a rare gem thats why they are the 1st PPOP group that became successful and achieved many 1st in the HISTORY of PPOP they are the STANDARD OF TALENT and bcoz of their popularity PPOP is now starting to recognized globally thats why koreans are now investing to PPOP talent and whatever happends their record already proven that they are the PPOP KINGS so comparing them to new groups will always happen bcoz like what i said they are the STANDARD OF PPOP.😇

I'm a multistan A'tin and also a HORI7ON supporter. The writer is not in any way affiliated w/ HORI7ON or ABSCBN. Just like SB19, HORI7ON is also just a victim of irresponsible journalism.
The people behind HORI7ON isn't responsible for the write-up. The writer isn't in any way connected to ABSCBN or MLD ENTERTAINMENT. Just like SB19, HORI7ON was only used to fan up a buzz that wud, from the writer's estimation, create more than enough readership for their newspaper.
Don't compare the group who worked so hard and faced lots of struggles just to get what they have now,Sb19 is our treasure,no one can beat their pure talent.

Salamat! Hindi naman kailangang pagbanggain ang mga PPOP groups ... I also love BGYO, Bini and Alamat ... kahit na SB19 ang pinaka gusto ko.
I also love BGYO ... they are also absolutely amazing ...I think each of the members are super talented lalo na si Gelo. Kailangan lang nila ng isang malupit na malupit na kanta.
I remember how Mr. Elton John had a rift with Madonna because she used to lipsync onstage- and to think a lot of fans might say Madonna built a name for herself- that she's not just a singer- she's a total performer. But then, if you notice, the ones imposing such HIGH standards are FELLOW artists themselves sharing the same entertainment industry. It's no different from Lea Salonga saying she has "no respect" for those who lipsync. This is a mindset that's NOT just personal bias. It's not some random whim or "taste." This is an established "criterion" in the music industry all over the world.
So is it too ambitious to stick to high standards? I don't think so- because people who share the same craft know it better than we do... and their standards are ways of maintaining dignity and respectability within their profession as a means of preserving the integrity and credibility of every member. It's also the reason SB 19 is working so hard- because our high standards here in the Philippines are exactly what global artists out there RESPECT and look forward to in most of the performances they see here. And SB 19 paved the way for that standard to be UP THERE, where the whole world can see it.
So Hori7on- nothing personal, guys. We all know you're under a management that says what can be done and what's a no-no. I already commented in Tita Missy's video when he brought up this same topic. Hori7on does respect SB19- at least that's what they said- and I believe they have pretty strong members like Reyster (Vince and Marcus are also promising).
What doesn't sit well with me is how some PPOp haters/bashers got WAY AHEAD of themselves and actually said some insulting things in a video titled "Let's talk about the Postponed ppopcon 2023/ ppop chikahan," where they obviously felt happy about the conference not pushing through because they believe- "no one was interested" or the ticket sales didn't meet expectations. The host of the video had been posting and commenting on Hori7on mall show videos- so it's not strange or surprising to find Hori7on fans commenting on it. Besides, even if the host did videos on other PPOP artists like BINI, she's mum about SO many OTHER Ppop groups and didn't sound sympathetic at all while commenting on the subject.
In other videos, some "sensitive" Hori7on fans distinguish their group from SB 19 by saying they're "global pop" not JUST Pop.
Huh? I thought any PPOP artist can be "global" if they get recognition and support from global audiences and award-giving bodies. In other words, can we even put the cart before the horse and be "global" BEFORE we've actually proved anything to the world?
No one starts out global without a local identity. No matter how you started, you have to have a PINOY IDENTITY when you set foot on the global stage. Even Lea Salonga had been a popular figure in the local industry before her stint at the Miss Saigon that got her the attention and recognition she deserved.
Is PPOP not enough to put us in the global spotlight? One Ppop fan even asked- "Are they (Hori7on) embarrassed to be called PPOP?" I think this question is spot-on.
Is the "global pop" icon label superior to PPOP?
But of course, it's not Hori7on's fault. It's the marketing scheme that pits them against any PPOP group and intends to give them an UNFAIR advantage over such groups by promising a debut in S. Korea- as if the prospect, in itself, is way better than anywhere else in the world. In essence, it capitalizes on the globalization of k-pop as the INTERNATIONAL standard, making it seem as if anything even remotely K-pop is just a variant with no identity of its own.
After all what does "global" mean? It's not a social marker of cultural identify. It's just a generic term for "anything goes." It assumes that one's identity "connects" with the rest of the world- but that connection is AFTER the fact, not before. No one goes out identifying her/himself as "global" unless you're talking about a movement or a federation recognized everywhere else.
Legitimizing K-pop is what Hori7on was made for- and the only reason K-pop companies have a vested interest in the project. Again, this is beyond Hori7on's control... but this puts fans in a difficult position.
Are we going to regress back into that SB19 era when even SB19 was struggling to find it's own identity? That's NOT evolution, that's regression. We can't move ten steps forward only to leap twenty steps backward. SB 19 faced so many ODDS trying to prove that we can OVERCOME this fixation on foreign standards of beauty, skill, and talent. They MOVED ON... so why are we so willing to dive back into the same pool that SB 19 already left behind for good?
The journey of PPOP is history in the making. We learn history not to simply appreciate facts- but to learn from our shortcomings so that we'll NEVER repeat the same mistakes again. Real progress starts when we take that first step to STAND ON OUR OWN- to be stronger and better, surpassing our past limitations. Only then can we rise above ourselves and be deserving of that respect, which is far more important than either money or fame because it transcends lifetimes.

SB19 is very supportive to their own countrymen!!! SB19 success is for everyone for all talented entertainmers! ❤
To sum it up, SB19 is in a league of their own. Kung baga sa supermarket, sila lang yung may exclusive aisle. There’s not one group in PPOP yet who has met the standard that SB19 started. Aside from their undeniable vocal prowess,
1. Self-producing
2. Lyrical geniuses
3. Solo careers
4. Excellent rappers
5. Multigenre group
6. Impeccable dancers
7. Creative directors
8. True patriots
9. Philanthropists
10. Can play different musical Instruments
Some groups can do some of them but not all of them. SB19 is just a totally different breed of perfection, along with A’tin, when united, can actually move mountains for them.

Thanks for talking about it. I think nobody should ever pay attention to that article and ultimately to that writer. It is harboring a very negative vibe which is definitely A'tin and SB19's. Everybody has to be reminded that SB19 supports all other PPOPS and promotes OPM.

I am just hoping lipsyncing does not become a trend in the Ppop industry. While I understand that's the norm in Korea but if you're not offering anything new or anything that sets you apart from where you get inspiration from then what's the point? Just be a cover group. For me as a 90s kid i grow up listening to different types of music around our house , My mom is church singer too, so maybe i have a high standard in my taste in music, SB19 got my attention with What? and the rest is history.

SB19 will reign because they started with full of humbleness, despites of negative feedbacks from bashers, they can sing LIVE,can dance with their own choreography, can create a concept from their own ideas,they were able to proved that they can do it without the influence of big networks in marketing them, you already set the standard of pure talent as the 1st Ppop group in the history of Phils music industry. Soar high SB19.
Putting one artist VS other artists will just make the audience closely observe each and every performance of the new artists, how well they did it, whether is it a live performance?, etc. The media is actually not helping the new artists by writing these articles because it's the new ones that have to prove themselves. The stress and expectations piled up because of these articles.
For newcomers to PPop, the media hype could either lead to success or could be a set-up for failure. The media people can be so selfish just so they can sell more copies & generate more attention. Shameless users.
Sb19 the first group to ever achieve things that have never been done before had already proven itself over & over again. Fortunately, SB19 is wise enough to know that their greatest competition is themselves.

I can't even understand the logic comparing trainees with well seasoned performer like SB19. Also, SB19 management didn't show how they were during trainee days so we can't compare them to these trainees Hori7on. People should expect them to sing live after they debut but for now, there's really no logic in it. I'm a fan of SB19 since 2019 and also rooting for these boys. Ppop rise di ba?

Anyway, hori7on has its own followers naman na prior to this. Mostly ka edad lang din nila na teenagers. Youngest member ages 13 and 14 lang din kasi. You cant expect younger fans to stan a much older group siguro like SB19 na nasa 20's na lahat.

I don't understand why some fans are trying to make issues between SB19 and HORI7ON. First and foremost, HORI7ON is a group of young boys that are still trainees. They are very good and has potentials but I don't think they would want to compete with SB19. I am so sure fans lang ang gumagawa ng issues. SB19 for sure are very much open to mentoring HORI7ON kasi that's their goal ever since. They want more Ppop talents to conquer and succeed in the global stage like them because they have good hearts. HORI7ON on the other hands are nice and kind boys. They are just trying to fulfill their dreams. Spare these kids from intrigues, my goodness. Remember, their youngest is only 13. Why start a friction between these two groups. Can we not support both??? Their successes will not just benefit them but also the whole Philippines. Come on Pinoys, are we really that low???

When their other former group failed to surpass SB19 by trying to emphasize they’re “originally Filipino” (even piggybacking it in their name), they are now selling their new hybrid group, fresh from the oven but already making the same noise claiming the same! Not bad-mouthing their artists who unfortunately are lacking what SB19 has, but again, this is business and it’s part of the handlers’ sales pitch and strategy. The quality may not be as par even with all the publicity money can buy - but it’s how fast the ROI is for them. Maybe they’d get more attention and be more convincing if they didn’t get too much ahead of themselves. At the end of the day, it will take more that just talent to reach THE bar that SB19 has set so high.

Hi! I'm fan po ng Hori7on hehe. I understand na defend ng mga a'tin ang sb19 pero please wag naman sana na umabot sa iwish ang worst sa hori7on na bumagsak sila. Wala naman sinasabi ng h7 anything against sa sb19. You see, kilala nila ang galing ng sb19. Yung journalist yung gumawa ng issue. Sana lang ay ibato ang inis or galit sa tamang tao. Sana makita niyo na vctim din naman ang Hori7on ng malicious journalist.
Wala naman dapat batuhan ng hate sa magkabilang group kasi parehas na victim ng writer. Dapat nga magkasundo pa tayo na magsama para iparating na hindi tama ang mga article na pinapalabas nila. Reason para mag throw ng hate ang isa't isa to defend the artist. Not healthy for both fandom.

SB19 already cemented their name not only in the PPop scene but in the Global stage! We should not compare the two groups, rather, we need to support these groups cuz at the end of the day, they are all Filipino groups and they carry the same flag🇵🇭
I have mixed feelings about them singing lipsync when i watched their performance in ASAP where Josh was also a guest performer. They ALWAYS say as defense for this group that they are still in training that's why the management chose to not let them sing live. There were clips everywhere wherein SB19 hasn't debut yet but still sang live. They were set to be a 7 member group when those clips were uploaded. They were still also in training process during those times coz as I see it they didn't have a group name that TIME yet but still they showcased their live vocals even the supposed to be members that left. So what difference does it make, really? I don't see the point of using that defense. As far as I'm concerned the boys of Hori7on are chosen because they saw Talent in them ESP in singing because they joined in this project. So why not showcase also their singing abilities live also with their dancing abilities? I'm glad that they starting to have fans out there even when they haven't debut yet. Not all PPop groups experienced the kind of hype they're getting now. But still.... Anyways, everyone is up to their own opinion but someone shouldn't undermine others opinion just because it doesn't sit well with yours. May the heavens bless you all.

i think i have read something na one of the reasons are that baka raw mapuna pagdating sa korea ang hori7on. at that time raw kasi‚ they are still fresh and medyo batak na batak pa raw sa training considering na mahirap naman daw talaga ang training ng koreans. idk though. basta ako i am a proud horizontal(jk. wala pa nga palang official fandom name HHAHAHAHHAHA) and a’tin.
We have to consider that Horizon has only been training for months, unlike SB19 na years ang training. Plus, most of the members are new to stage and performing, unlike SB19 na performer na talaga even before they trained. Magkaiba po sila ng background when it comes to performing and please don't compare. Sa pinagsasabi mo, nasisira mo ang SB19 sa ibang fans, thinking na ganyan lahat ng Atin. ThiNk kase sabak agad ang horizon pagkatapos ng show while sb19 is nauna yung ilang years nilang training so given na yung na hasa sila sa vocals before their debut even that time they are not famous ...while horizon is hindi pa tlaga sumasabak sa matinding training ....

One thing for sure that made people, includining me, love SB19 is because they showed us the real them... I mean they started as they are, no filter included, no showbiz attached, there was no big company behind them who would dictate them to act as they want or to act against the will of the boys... Take it from me as someone who is not really into local artists, not into "Oppa Oppa" thing which is k-pop or k-drama... I am more into Anime just like Ken and I am more into country music... I was just a casual listener of the boys and their song "What?" really caught my attention... But eventually, I found myself watching their vlogs, and geezzz these boys are adorable, bright and positive.... They captured my heart just by watching them... These boys are our gem... They deserved all the blessings, love, and the support they are receiving now... They don't deserve hate... Do not ever compare them to any PPOP group kasi baka kakailanganin ng bala para iangat ang bandera... Char!!
That lip-synched performance also didn’t sit well with me and neither did that article. I guess their management team didn’t want any risks and decided to showcase their dance talent for now. If the audience would have not been impressed with their vocals, it would have spelled disaster for those young boys. So, good for Hori7on. As for the article, the writer just wanted attention, I guess. He figured his piece would be noticed especially by eagle-eyed A’tin. And he was right.

I have full respect for you Chuck I even admire you. I'm glad you didn't say anything bad about them. I'm an atin myself but right now I'm one of those who are now in their fandom. You are right they do lip sync but no matter how much they want to sing live they couldn't because the Korean management is deciding on it.
As for the news, yup the CHINGUS sent him lots of hate comments when he seemed to cause fandom wars. He doesn't even know that there is a percentage of CHINGUS who are also ATIN so everything was neutralized at the end of the day.
Lets just remember that SB19 is SB19 and HORI7ON is HORI7ON and so with the other PPOP Idols. And HORI7ON is under Korean Format. But one thing is similar about them for sure, they were both being criticized from the start.

In my opinion, I don't think HORIZON will really surpassed the SB19. SB19 is already SB19....means they are really talented and in their onw ways....nag-aambagan silang lima kong ano yong ikakabuti sa kanilang kinakanta patina ang pagsasayaw. There's no need to compare. In general, we still choose SB19 as the King of Pop!

Yes, nothing can compare with sb19 but mind you hori7on didn't even debut yet vs sb19 with 5 yrs experience (if I'm not wrong) nah it's a bit unfair for both sides . Some of the comments saying sb19 are already singing live in their pre-debut but are they performing almost everyweek in different places? What I mean is , they can sing live , hori7on can sing live but with all the guestings and mallshows plus their training everyday they prefer to not to every single time and we fans know it . I admit hori7on is still not good in singing live but they are so good in dancing .
You are right. Also, from what I've observed with MLD idols, they're good in singing live like lapillus.. I think the agency wanted Hori7on to undergo the training in Korea first before they will let them sing live. We can expect that after their debut..People can see their potential to become big someday if managed well kaya ginagawan na ng iba ng issue ngayon palang. Imagine 5 months of training with most of the members na self-taught lang?! They're also backed up by 3 companies and trained by famous choreographers and composers in Korea. SB19 and Hori7on are taking different paths to promote Filipino talents.. PPOP and Global Pop.. I love and will support both groups. No need to compare or compete, just collaborate...

I don't get where the comparison is coming from. We don't have to compare a strongly established group to a newly formed group which is still on a training process. SB19 is already SB19 and that is a fact. SB19 already proved what they are capable of while Hori7on is still on the process of proving their talents. And I can see that they are also promising and not to mention that some of the members are minors and they still have a lot to improve. Media are always exaggerating things and that is also a fact and it might compromise such promising group like Hori7on.

I think HORI7ON used the term "global pop group" kasi ayaw nilang idisregard yung pagiging Pilipino nila. Instead of using "kpop group", since sa SoKor naman talaga sila magde-debut at ang magiging base nila, they used that term to somehow pay tribute to their roots. If they categorize themselves as Ppop or Kpop kasi, meron talagang talagang masasacrifice, hence I think Global pop group is the safest term na magagamit to describe them. Also, I don't think that using that term is pagiging "ambisyoso masyado". They just represent two industry (Filipino and Korean), and since wala namang term para doon, global pop group siguro yung naisip nilang gamitin, just like Now United na nagrerepresent ng iba't ibang bansa.
It just makes me sad that some of the comments are degrading HORIZON solely because they used that term and that they still lip-sync. I understand that we Filipinos value live vocals more than anything to an artist, but HORIZON is still a trainee. It would be too risky if the management would put them in such pressure tapos mababash lang sila. I remember when they guested at Its Showtime, days after they were chosen. People was quick to judge na di daw sila sabay sabay not considering na wala pa silang chemistry and maybe some if them are not even close yet to each other, if I am not mistaken nasa 1-2 days lang yung practice nun (nalimutan ko na).
What I am trying to say is that, let the boys bloom. Soon naman mag gro-grow din sa kanila yung hunger to develop as an artist. Wala pa man ding pagde-debut grabe na yung iba maka judge. KUDOS Chuck! SB19 is, sorry to say, iTHE standard. The hardships they've been thru (e.g. low/no budget, bashers, haters, accidents / mishaps on stage, insecurities, etc.). is immense. But it made them strong, gave them courage, blessed them with learnings and built their brotherhood / friendship. Up to now, they kept on admitting that they're not perfect but they have been singing live since day 1 becoz they know that practice on and off stage will never fail them. A lot of PPOP groups were blessed from the on-set (e.g budget, marketing, production, etc.). Blessings that will help them a lot but, at the same time, may prevent them from undergoing the very fibers that made SB19 boys amazingly good and unbelievably kind. They have been tested and challenged time and time again... and they survived TOGETHER. A group that conceptualize their own vids, create their own songs and, do their own choreography. So... how do you surpass that kind of JOURNEY that resulted with a solid (ATIN) fanbase that doesn't only admire their visuals and talent but more so, love and respect them despite of the "imperfections" that these boys openly admits? I don't know guys ... really I don't.

All I can say is, marami pang kakaining bigas ang ibang Ppop groups. Marami pang kailangang dumanak na pawis, luha at dugo sa kanila. SB19 has set the standards so high. They're the benchmark for Ppop standards.

I want to see them perform live as in live kumakanta and that they should show something different among the others beyond their Kpop visuals and themes.
