I had an injector in the -3.5, and others + - 1 and 2, started running hotshots EDT every fill up and without a doubt it works. my rates are close to all + - 1. Also, these trucks need to get heavy footed time to time, run it through the gears hard, you aint gonna hurt it. It clears the truck out trust me.
That little bit of haze at idle is pretty normal as long as it’s not excessive you shouldn’t have an issue I’d run hotshot EDT every fill up and send it lbz injectors can last 500k keep those air dog filters changed you’ll be fine
I know my 04 LB7 needed injectors, after someone had dumped dirt or sawdust into the tank before I had gotten it. I run the normal strength of the hotshot secret, and I like it. I know mine has a 24 gallon tank, because when I got it, it had about 10 miles of range and tool a good 18 gallons to get up to 3/4 tank. I run mine hard, and sitting on 35s it gets 17 in town and 25 on the highway. Never had an issue with haze or excessive smoke with mine
I use hot shots every day fill up every time I pump. I like it. I’ll have to try out the extreme bc my truck hazes too. I get 23 miles to gallon in my 2005 lly. Tuned with ppei
I actually just used that stuff for the first time last tank. Had 2 injectors with rates around 2.5. After a tank of the hotshot extreme I don’t have an injector balance rate over +/-1. The stuff just works
Fellow m lbz owner here big tip I've learned because I've been concerned with haze at idle and driving (very light haze like just diesel smell) and have learned from fellow owners that it's just how the lbz rolls I've been round lb7 and lly s but the lbz is the only one that does it normally. Don't be scared just check injector rates
Try Archoil Diesel Fuel Treatment. Been using in my 6.7 powerstroke and can see increase in mpgs but it adds needed lubrication for diesels since they are lowering the sulfur in diesel fuel. Lubricates and protects fuel system, Cleans injectors, and turbos
My old boss used to have this exact truck and it pulled a heavy equipment trailer everyday and he would use a tank of fuel a day and everyday he would put 1 quart of automatic trans fluid in the tank with the diesel and it has 400k miles everything still stock
Anytime you put a cleaner in your tank the MPG will suffer because it is no longer pure fuel , as it cleans over time it should help but it takes time , just as it takes time to get the build up of deposits in the system.
You've probably already had this answered, but no, your truck does not need DEF. That's for diesel vehicles 2010 or 12 and up. My VW 10' jetta TDI does not have DEF. Be thankful your truck doesn't need it lol.
It is a 2007 Chevy with 200000 that you just said you don't drive very much so it's going to do some things abnormally when you do drive it? Seems to have gotten way better as you've been driving more....
Get a DSP5 switch and a tune on that thing, man. It's what i have done on my LBZ. My tune is Optimized Stock/Sport economy + 100 RWHP, +200 ft-lbs torque / Race mode:+130 RWHP, +260 ft-lbs torque / Heavy Tow + 60 RWHP, + 120 ft-lbs torque but better torque curve and lower EGTs / kill switch - because i live in albuquerque nm, and these bitches will steal anything they can. If you don't already have it, delete your EGR too. You can get a block off plate, but i recommend doing profab and lb7 setup. of course this will require a tune. I recommend not doing a block off plate. They tend to leak afterwhile.
I dont know if you can make a fair statement on its effectiveness. Between all the idle time, and the variation in the upgrades you wont ever be able to know its effectiveness since the drastic changes you made immediately between the old set up and running an additive. Too many variables. If I could find some in Canada id do my own experiment but it's $60/bottle here, if you can find it.
I did used it on my lb7 with 296k but had fresh injectors, it had would dump white smoke on hard acceleration. It’s a stock truck but acted like it had a smoke tune it was so bad. After about a 1/4 tank zero smoke at all
I believe whole heartedly that the product works my comment was simply to state that the video cant be an accurate representation of the effectiveness of the product because of all the changes to the truck while testing was going on. I havent used it yet, but I do intend to use it as an octane booster as well as add the oil additive on my next oil change. @@Povertycab
You should use hot shot secret EDT on every tank after this

Put some rear fender liners on that baby!

I’m convinced anything will look good on the dmax
I use hotshots in everything I got a 2003 6.0l powerstroke with 175k miles I use the Fr3 and the hotshots coolant still has stock injectors and EGR 👍
Led cab lights would look extremely beast!
I use hot shots every day fill up every time I pump. I like it. I’ll have to try out the extreme bc my truck hazes too. I get 23 miles to gallon in my 2005 lly. Tuned with ppei
I’ve used hotshots and the silver bottle of power service diesel clean and both work really good
I gotta 04 6.0 bulletproofed with a 4 inch exhaust with a 5 inch tip bout to go to the store now my boy truck looks good man
I actually just used that stuff for the first time last tank. Had 2 injectors with rates around 2.5. After a tank of the hotshot extreme I don’t have an injector balance rate over +/-1. The stuff just works
With the quality of diesel being what it is today, additive with every fill up is pretty essential
Hand calculate. I get 16-17 city 19 highway with my stock tune lb7 on 35s.
I heard it best to do it before you pump so it gets mixed around
So would you add the hotshot before filling it up?
You need the 9 blade turbo from truck master
Marvel mystery oil is the best stuff ever made, it made the injectors in my 6.2 diesel a lot quieter and work better
Missing my race red duramax 04 SLT GMC . One of the best trucks ever made
Fellow m lbz owner here big tip I've learned because I've been concerned with haze at idle and driving (very light haze like just diesel smell) and have learned from fellow owners that it's just how the lbz rolls I've been round lb7 and lly s but the lbz is the only one that does it normally. Also check for boost leaks with low mpg

Dads lb7 had few injectors out of spec hazed horribly all the time we ran this in it a year ago truck still going strong no haze
I got the everday treatment
Squeeze bottle
Works good i get more fuel mileage 👍12.2 up to 16.7 now
You should shine that plastic on the bumper. I know it doesn’t last forever but I think it would look great
My old boss used to have this exact truck and it pulled a heavy equipment trailer everyday and he would use a tank of fuel a day and everyday he would put 1 quart of automatic trans fluid in the tank with the diesel and it has 400k miles everything still stock
Heard about this too, the guy dumped a quart of this stuff every fill up and it worked great.
200k miles your getting close for a set of injectors.
Clean truck! Diesels definitely need to be drove longer distances.
You’ll love hot shot’s secret products! All I use in my vehicles
Truck looks sick
Could run completely out of diesel and find out that way😂😂
Nah cuh we want the black smoke. Roll coal baby 🤪🤪
Hotshots every day diesel treatment is what I used after a bottle of that diesel extreme
Nice looking truck
Tbats a sweet looking truck bud

Nice Truck there Brother 👍
Love your vids man, I have the same truck as chomper just 02 ext cab💯
9.5 mpg for a diesel truck. lol, that sucks. I get 34mpg on my 3.0 duramax.
My lbz gets 18-20 mpg, I get the haze and lots of smoke and alittle low on power
W video bro
Idk if your question about def was a joke or not but if you are seriously askin its for the newer trucks with emissions equipment
where did you find all the parts for your truck like the lights and tow mirrors and stuff
My gf just bought a 2004 2500HD and I wanted to know what you used to paint your bow ties up front
Picked up a set of radar renagade xs for my 01 Silverado and I’m in love with the look and ride of them
Hot Shot everyday treatment is meta 🫡🤘🏻
The fuel mileage could appear lower than what it actually is due to the speedometer being off because of the oversized wheels and tires.
This. Must hand calculate
If your tire size is off, it dont matter how you calculate because you won't know how many miles you went.
You didn't get me with the blow up thing because I remember you doing that to larry
You've probably already had this answered, but no, your truck does not need DEF. That's for diesel vehicles 2010 or 12 and up. My VW 10' jetta TDI does not have DEF. Be thankful your truck doesn't need it lol.
36 gallon on long beds
Most likely 26g cuz u don’t let it get to empty
I’ve been to that store
Rear fender liners

14-18 rear bumper

Are u gonna put a cold air intake on it?
2 stroke oil also works good and is way cheaper
averaged 28 mpg on a 80 mile trip 08 duramax
aren't you supposed to put this in the tank before filling it up so it gets mixed in?
I’ve always heard and did half tank, stop pour it in then finish filling it up
Need another mustang or Camaro on the channel!
you gotta pour it first before you fill up from what i was told
Should be used about every 6k miles,NOT every fill up!
Doesn’t what she’ll do? Cleans injectors and to prevent carbon build up ?
26 gal tank
How is the fuel economy that bad💀 we use a 2006 duramax 3500 with a flat bed to hall pallets of shingles and the gas mileage stays @ 12mpg
Anyone else notice the blue ford in the background??
First
The bigger tires you go killed fuel economy
Best way to improve the mileage and performance of a Chevy? Tow it behind a Ford
I see a Coyote in the background!!!
Time ? ☆
Get a diff cover
Paint match the mirrors

Those wheels are ugly u need stocks back
