    In the first scene, Trynda sees Kindred which was in fact Ashe, but he faces death and that's why the silhouette of Kindred. Morgana and Kyle are the twin aspect of justice, we see them in the past, when they would fight together. For Aatrox you already got the info from the other comments, but the flames where Kindred is shown, represents that she can't do anything, since Aatrox is immortal, she's just watching. Then the story with Yassuo, it's a potential future of him, if he goes the path of not fighting anymore with the wind, that's why he has a stick and not a sword. The fact with his bandages you got it right, it was him unleashing his windpowers. The wolf in the trees is the wolf part of the Kindred, and why is so far away, is because Yassuo accepts his fate, he does not fight anymore, he could, we saw he could do the wind wall, but he does not, so a white arrow comes to him, representing Kindred's arrow of peacefull death (but transitiong in the arrow of ashes that is turning into a bird and finds Tryndamere). The scene with Trynda and Kindred is all in his head, because he's facing death fighting with all those guys, wolf is trying to kill him since Trynda wanna fight and got up, then Kindred shoots an arrow at him, then wolf again and so on. They take turns until Ahe's arrows appear and kill the two guys behind him. Then he comes to reality again. It's an intricate Cinematic, Still Here being about the death themself, Kindred and Wolf, still there, watching.

      wait wait wait. I just now noticed that the Star like arrow that turns white when Yassuo excepts his fate is actually him giving in to death??? I thought it was just a cool transition! I just rewatched and its obviously Kindred shooting their arrow from the trees to claim his life. Whoa.

    I was giving this another watch and had a realization alongside your commentary regarding Kindred. In the scene with Aatrox, we see Lamb in the fire (violent end) and we see Wolf in the trees at Yasuo's scene (swift end by Lamb's arrow). I wonder if Riot intended that to show the duality of Kindred and how both are always together (like we obviously see in the last scene).

    Morgana has never been evil. That's always been a long running misconception based on visual imagery and pseudo-religious propaganda built up over the centuries from Kayle herself being the uptight crapsack she is with a chip on her shoulder where her sister is concerned.
    The "short" version of their lore:
    Their mother ascended Mount Targon and became the Aspect of Justice. She was pregnant with the twins at the time, and thus Kayle and Morgana were born with a portion of her Celestial Power. Their father feared their mother's power and the danger it brought them from her enemies, so he took the young (still children) twins away from Targon and eventually settled in an area that would one day become Demacia. Kayle always embraced her power as child of an ascended, and followed their mother's slightly warped and narrow view of "Justice". While Morgana was always wary of the power they inherited, and wanted to truly defend, strengthen and protect the people themselves. And this always caused strain on the relationship between the sisters. Their mother eventually passed her duty as Aspect of Justice on to the twins, splitting her sword and sending it down to them, one half for each. They became the Divine Protectors of Demacia as it developed around them over the centuries. Eventually, there was a final falling out between the two over their opposing ideological beliefs on what it meant to be Justice and the protectors of Demacia. Morgana gave her half of the sword to Kayle and bound her wings. This is why in-game, Kayle has both swords and Morg has no weapons except her own power. The rest, as they say, is history.
    Kayle is blind strict adherence to law and order with little (if any) regard for the actual people themselves. Morgana actually cares about the people and their wellbeing above and beyond the "rules". Morg is pragmatic and realistic vs Kayle who is all idealism and dogma.
    If you really look deeply, Kayle is more the "evil" one than Morgana is. The fanatical devotion to Kayle's (and subsequently their mother's) inflexible, hyper-narrow viewpoint on "justice" and the "rule of order" above all else is why the authoritarian and semi-genocidal anti-magic Demacian culture is what it is in modern Runetera. I've always found it infinitely ironic that Kayle and Demacians are so heavily anti-magic when Kayle, her sister and their mother (the Divine Protectors of Demacia) all derive their powers from Celestial magic in the first place.
    As for the actual cinematic itself, it's a story in three parts. The Past, the Present and the Future.
    Kindred is the physical embodiment of Death in Runetera. Basically the Grim Reaper who comes to take the dead and dying. Lamb's arrow offers a quick and peaceful death to those who accept their end. Wolf offers a final battle to those who don't accept it and want to fight their inevitable demise instead. They show up in all 3 portions of the cinematic.
    The Past, we have Kayle and Morgana vs Aatrox. This is in the very early days of Demacia before the magical cataclysm that turned the forest into Petricite. It's around the time of the Darkin War or relatively shortly after. Aatrox isn't a death god. He hates his immortality and wants to die, but he can't. So he wants to destroy the world so that his existence can finally come to an end. Lamb's silhouette can be seen in the flames Kayle uses to destroy Aatrox body and his army.
    The Future, it's an old Yasuo somewhere in Ionia, still being a badass and protecting people. It's a possible future for him. Riot actually recently released it as a skin following the cinematic, Forseen Yasuo. You can see Wolf's silhouette and eyes in the distance at the end of the scene. And while Riot claims that central white arrow at the end was Ashe's Hawkshot to further aid the visual transition between this and the next scenes, it makes infinitely more sense for that one in the rain of incoming arrows (great callback to The Climb btw) to be Lamb's arrow as Yasuo appears to be accepting his death finally.
    The Present, we have Tryn fighting against members of another clan (probably the Winter's Claw) in the Freljord. This one gets a lot more deep. When Tryn is fighting Kindred that's happening in his mind/the spirit realm. Because where it was bright day before it's now dark and gloomy. Also notice that the snow isn't "falling" but is hovering still in the air around them. Wolf jumps in because obviously Tryn isn't going to just lay down and accept death. Then The Undying Rage (ironically the result of Tryn's past fight against Aatrox when the darkin stabbed him and either accidentally or intentionally passed along a portion of the Darkin's blood corruption magic to him) to kicks in and suddenly (as the meme goes) "mans too angry to die", prompting that head tilt from Lamb. Then at the end, Lamb lowers her bow because she knows that Ashe has arrived to save him and it's not yet his time to die. And we realize that the bow carrying figure he couldn't make out properly at the beginning was Ashe coming to rescue him, and that he's actually been physically fighting the remaining guys who took him down at the beginning of the cinematic (there are more bodies than just the couple seen at the beginning and the two Ashe's arrows took down) scattered around him. As Ashe's arrows fly past Lamb you can see the light of the real world returning and you also notice the snow begins to actually fall again. And another tidbit, Ashe and Tryn are married. That's why they have "Mommy & Daddy" vibes.
    Just an absolute masterclass in lore building and story telling, and all canon.

    • @Amata67471
      @Amata67471 4 місяці тому +1

      Yeah, you just have one think wrong. Wolf ddn't jump on tryn because he isn't going to just lay down and accept death. But because they already met when Aatrox stab him and make him "immortal" for a frame. Because he should have die against Aatrox otherwise ;). So Kindred know he wont accept peacufull death.

    • @OverworkedITGuy
      @OverworkedITGuy 4 місяці тому +2

      @@Amata67471Hence why wolf jumped him. Because he knew Tryn wasn't just going to lay down and die peacefully. Though to be fair, even without the Undying Rage, Wolf would have gotten in on it because none of the Freljordians will just lay down and die when it's their time. It's literally part of their culture to go out in glorious battle. Hell, the main reason in canon Olaf does 90% of the stuff he does is because of the Oracle telling him that he was destined to die peacefully of old age, and he just cannot have that at all.

    Another detail i love about this scenematic is how certain sentences in the song line up perfectly with what is shown. When Aatrox lands and shouts it's song "It's in my blood it's in my veins" referring to the bloodmagic keeping Aatrox immortal. When we go to the Yasou story it begins with "maybe it's a far stretch" referring to this being a possible future and nothing exact. And again when we go to tryndamir the song again goes "It's in my blood it's in my veins" referring Tryndamir also being infused with bloodmagic from the time Aatrox stabbed him, which also is the entire reason tryndamir is able to last in his fight against death.

      I hadn't noticed that! "The shapes I used to take" lines up when we first see Morgana and Kayle standing next to each other, as well (since it's the "past" scene of the cinematic).
      And @NerdyBigBrother you're correct about the horns. When composing, it's not uncommon to put the hero's theme in the lower brass section and victory in the upper brass (which we hear at the very end after Ashe's entrance). That power feeling you're getting from the horns is from the tone they're using. When playing softly, brass can keep a mellow tone, but once they start really pumping air, that's when the raw brazen sound comes out. It's that sharp edge that makes the sound penetrate so well. Find the music track alone and listen, you'll love Wolf's entrance (the low brass accentuates it so much more than you realize when watching the cinematic).
      Hopefully that all makes sense, I'm more of a numbers guy than words lol

    Morgana is not evil. She just doesn't have the same ideas as her sister about ensuring justice. That's why they parted ways and in time, people forgot about Morgana or described her as a bad person.

    • @NerdyBigBrother
      @NerdyBigBrother  3 місяці тому

  • @kyukhan
    @kyukhan 4 місяці тому +1

    It is more accurate to call Aatrox the sword rather than the body.
    Aatrox is a Darkin, a god warrior that god corrupted through the war with the void and the use of blood magic. Like the other Darkin (Rhaast, Varus, Naafiri) he got sealed inside his weapon. Whenever someone picks up the sword they get corrupted and overtaken by Aatrox until the host body is shaped into an approximation of what Aatrox was once.
    He is now immortal, which he hates, and tries to erase all life to cease existing himself.
    Unfortunately, that means Kayle only destroyed his most recent host and he has appeared several times since.
    The army is nothing special, he has tried several times to create a battle so devastating it could cause an apocalypse.
    There's also a connection to Tryndamere. I can't find an exact source but many believe that his Undying Rage is a form or fraction of the blood magic that keeps Aatrox alive.
    Aatrox appeared before Tryndamere and his tribe and slaughtered them, Tryndamere charged but was swatted aside. Before passing out Aatrox said something to him and from that point on he had his uncontrollable rage.
