Forty students from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance took a classical approach to the flashmob as they flashwaltzed Tchaikovsky's Waltz of the Flowers at the new Sarah Wetsman Davidson Hospital Tower in Jerusalem. Doctors, patients and passers-by joined in the fun.
The surprise concert was part of Good Deeds Day, an annual event that originated in Israel in 2007 and now takes place in over 50 countries worldwide. On this day volunteers reach out to the less fortunate and the vulnerable.
The Academy students enjoyed the day so much that they have decided to schedule regular concerts at the hospital. Hadassah Medical Organization treats over one million patients annually, without regard to race, religion or national origin.

The beauty of music brings people of so many different cultures together. Is truly a shame that we are constrained by our boundaries and those who govern them. By the way come on this was a perfect backdrop for this piece. The joy on everyone's faces is beautiful

There's three things in this world that can make me cry, breaking the little toe on my left foot for the Nth time, chopping 300 pounds of onions for the bratwurst festival, and these damn flashmob videos when there's kids, especially this one. God bless you for putting smiles on those poor childrens faces.

I agree. Always so enjoyable! At our hospital, there are people who will come through and do performances. It's truly amazing to watch someone bring in a harp, or guitar, or go to the lower floor where there's a piano and bring in singers and musicians to play for the patients and staff. Music is so uplifting.

I never imagined I would hear or see a clip of music from Jerusalem. Thank you God, for now I have. And it's Tchaikovsky. One of my favorite composers. I truly enjoyed this flash mob. I appreciated seeing the girl in the wheelchair being entertained. The older couple dancing. The many smiles. And the happiness that radiated throughout the hospital floor. In which it brought a smile to my face and lifted my heart. The joy, love, peace and music has shattered and transcended over into neighboring cities, countries, over miles of oceans. What hate has tried to stop. We are resilient people who want a World of Peace, Love and Joy that encompasses what God bestowed on us. May this remaining year and the New Year, be of peace and joy and the hate and violence no longer be of threat. Israel is one of the places I would love to visit some day. Shalom, from MN, USA.

I do love these classical flash mob gigs,I think they are a fantastic idea that brings live classical music to many people to the first time!

I think everyone would like to go to an airport or mall or just out on the sidewalk and start singing or dancing or playing a musical instrument. We would all be Gene Kelly Singing in the Rain.🤗

Awesome! My contribution to the Hadassah Hospital Children's Pavilion is two parts of a stitching project of an Alef-Bet - which was hanging over the elevators! Music and healing for all. Blessings and love to each and all. Shalom.

Oh wow. If I were a patient in that hospital and heard that live, beautiful music, I'm sure I would walk out of there healed. Thank you for this.

This is a far cry from what I heard during my hospital stay, two weeks ago! I was in three different rooms during the 44 hours I was there, two of them across from nurses stations. It often sounded like the end of a high school sporting event! I had to come home to get some rest.

@@gracebennion2000 Yes, thanks. I went in the ER for something I thought they could fix, but stayed two nights and days for tests. I must say the staff was great and I made sure to thank them thoroughly. Looks like the staff in this one is the same caliber of people.

Glæder mig at se at musik gør alle glade og måske ligefrem lykkelig.. Selv dem der meget syge...

One of my very favorite Flashmobs - because it is done in a hospital to bring joy somewhere that definitely needs it. To see the little ones in the wheelchairs with smiles on their faces, and the lovely little dancer, and the couple waltzing to the music. Just marvelous indeed! And what fantastic musicians these are - the sound is amazing. Just shows the power of music to bring even just a brief moment of magic into a person's life. Reminds me when my son played his cello for his adopted grandfather who was in a nursing home. He just played it in the room, just for him, but when I went to close the door so not to disturb the other residents, there were almost a dozen in the hallway, outside their own doors, listening. I will never forget that moment, I hope he doesn't either.
