Rodeo is the best! I have bamboo and rodeo and couldn’t be happier with those two colors. Glad to hear your foot is healing well and you are on the mend. Take care.
Thanks for such a thorough review on this mat. I always appreciate your videos because you answer all the things in wondering! Praying for your continued healing! 🦶🏼
I've never heard of a nap mat! Baby is only 2 months right now but I might consider getting her one of these in the future when she's older! Thanks for your review, Kevin! I'm in agreement that lovevery products are good quality. Hopefully it lasts a while for your little one!
I think they’re more popular with children who go to daycares as it’s easy for parents to take home and wash. I’m hoping it last awhile to as it’s not cheap.
We don't have access to lovevery in UK but I'm really glad you've shared about a nap mat! My daughter is 7 months and she bedshares. She currently contact naps but I'd like to start to transition her to napping alone but don't want to leave her on the bed alone. A mat would be perfect! I don't know why I never thought of it when I literally work in a nursery (daycare) 😂 she'll be on a mat at nursery next month too so it makes some sense
I didn’t think about using a nap mat until I got a picture update from his school showing him napping on one. My son has his days where he still wants to be held to sleep but some days he wants his independence.
Love your review of the nap mat! Could you do a video on how you prepared your son for preschool, and how he is adjusting? We are sending our little one to preschool in a few months, but she’s never been to any daycare, so we are quite nervous!
We started letting our son attend Montessori school fairly early. He was 15 months when he first attended. At hood young agree it wasn’t too bad as it only took him about 2 days to get used to it. He really enjoyed it and started walking in on his own the week after.
Enjoy your video as always!! One question: My 6 month baby just naps on her mattress in the nursery, is there any benefit to nap at a different place than bedtime? Since you mentioned your son sleeps on nugget before the nap mat as well.
If your child already naps on her mattress then there wouldn’t be any benefits of changing locations. My son currently only associates the bed room with sleeping at night and won’t nap their so that’s why he naps at a different location.
Thanks! I have been looking at this mat! I would also love to put in a video request for an update on any non-subscription box toys you are loving right now. We personally have both Kiwi Co and Lovevery, but split between my house, my inlaws, and my parents (who trade off watching our son until Florida case numbers go down) sometimes we are a bit spread thin, especially since Florida is moving indoors due to the summer heat.
Most of the toys these days are from Lovevery and KiwiCo, but I’ll review the toys and items we have to make a video. Generally most of the items I buy on the side don’t conflict with the subscription boxes like balance boards and stepping stones.
I would add gross motor toys like a Skywalker Mini Trampoline or a balance bike. Haba board games like First Animal Upon Animal or First Orchard are a huge hit with toddler age kids. Green Toys has good quality trucks, kinetic sand with Wild Republic animals, bugs or dinosaurs to play with. Faber Castell watercolor paints and Stabilo Woody drawing sticks are portable. After 2 years toddler activities become more important then physical toys. The Montessori Toddler by Simone Davies has activity ideas that should be helpful to you. Going to the library at each location and letting him pick out new books to explore is great. Going on nature swimming adventures at each location is great.
It’s a fairly squishy pillow, but I’d definitely wait until at least 18 months before letting a child use it. My son likes taking naps face down so he isn’t really using the pillow right now.
do you rotate it to the No pillow side ? Since it’s attached ? I’m thinking to get one for my sons bedtime lol as he can’t keep the blanket on, I thought this would be a good alternative Wht do you think? 🙏🏻
The pillow casing area is attached but the pillow van be removed which is good for washing. Of course you could also just rotate it like you suggested.
I only have one. School provides their own nap mat. Not exactly sure the brand they have, but it’s one that attaches to a cot. I’ve only been using the nap mat for 2 weeks.
Versus some of the other nap mats that mimic the sleeping bag style this one is decent thickness. I use it on carpet and I don’t feel that it’s too hard. I know many daycares also use a cot as a cushion for nap mats.
It depends on the preschool you’re attending. My son’s school currently isn’t providing food due to Covid-19, so we’re packing him lunch everyday. A good insulated lunch box is a must of you want to keep your child’s food a decent temperature. I’ve found that most schools don’t have microwaves.
@@kevin-lu nope not at all! Just usual rivalry comments from older folks but i find younger, recent graduates don't care at all. We don't typically head towards downtown or campus so not sure if it would be different if we did. We have met plenty of Aggies in Austin that I usually forget UT is nearby!
Nice review. I’d not heard of that brand before. As a side note, Amazon’s counterfeit control is very poor so I alway caution fellow parents to use care ordering products from them. (Especially for kid or safety stuff!) We try to order from the manufacturer directly or a trusted retailer/small business. It takes longer to arrive usually, but at least you know what you’re getting. Just food for thought when shopping 🌈 Thanks again for the great vids!
This is still our families go to napping mat for my son when he’s at home. I have no complaints and even after several washes the material has held up really well. I’m more of dreading the day when my son starts to skip his naps.
Hi Kevin, would you still recommend this nap mat if daycare uses cots for naps? I saw in one of ur comments to someone else that your sons daycare uses some other napmat that secures to the cot, would this lovery one be an issue then?
I’d check with the daycare to see what kind of cot as the napmat would just go on top. It shouldn’t be a problem. Although there are nap mats that can attach would make it easier for the daycare.

Thanks! My foot is healing up. Just started able to walk on my barefoot with a slight limp!
Thanks for that review! I was thinking about this particular nap mat.
You’re welcome! Hope it helps you make a decision.
Love all your videos! Very informational, thank you!

Lovevery should be coming to the uk this summer, I’m super excited! I’ve signed up to their newsletter so I can know when they are up and running.
@@adeela1632 yes! Finally! I emailed them a year ago and they said watch the space haha!

I’m already shopping for UT outfits for my toddler to wear in the fall! 🤟🏻
That reminds me that I need some new UT gear for my son as well!

Hi Kevin, I’m curious - the attached pillow looks pretty high for a little toddler. Does it squish down easily or is it on the stiffer side?
It’s a fairly squishy pillow, but I’d definitely wait until at least 18 months before letting a child use it. My son likes taking naps face down so he isn’t really using the pillow right now.

Yay! You got the Nap Mat! So do you have 2? One for school and one for home? How long have you been using it now?
I only have one. School provides their own nap mat. Not exactly sure the brand they have, but it’s one that attaches to a cot. I’ve only been using the nap mat for 2 weeks.
the nap mat seems very thin. do you need another mat underneath so that the child won't feel too hard or too cold?

Any preschool must have items other than the mat?

Haha, hearing you mention Houston and burnt orange made me curious if you went to UT! My husband and I are Aggies ourselves but live in Austin. :P
Out of curiosity do you guys get weird looks when you sport your maroon gear going around town? Austin has grown quite a bit since I graduated.

Haha it is quite soft. Looks pretty comfortable.

That is a very good point. Counterfeits on Amazon is getting out of hand. Better to wait a couple more days to know you’re getting the real deal.
We have daybreak and dewdrop. I want new covers too 😅
Getting new covers is addicting 😬
Hi Kevin, love your review. I also a lovevery subscriber. Would you mind sharing with me how do you think the overall experience after one year?
