i really enjoyed the tower defense section of Gerudo town. it brought me back to cod zombies, i could hear the round transition music as the assault began. and I flat out said "you don't seem to understand, I'm trained for this"
Fun fact now that you’ve beat this thing in the first try: if you had used your mirror shield during the fight, you could have locked onto the boss and done a lot of damage over time as long as you stayed under the beams of light
The Queen Gibdo Fight was really easy for me. I found out fire, electric and, white chuchu jellies are just as affective as riju, I thought the fight would be hard but its SOOO EASY. Just use chuchu jellies and don't focus on the horde of gibdos just focus on the queen.
Out of all the Bosses. The Queen Gibdo was the hardest one for me. And what’s ironic is in Breath Of The Wild, I struggled the most with Thunderblight Ganon. Honestly what is it with the Gerudo ladies and having the worst boss fights. What made the Lightning Temple harder for me was it was the second temple I did after the Wind Temple.
When I first got to fight the swarm of gibdos attacking gerudo town, I don’t know why but I straight up said, “YOU DONT UNDERSTAND, IM GETTING THE GOSH DARN ‘combo tactics’ OUT”
I love your energy, even when you're struggling or messing up, you're still having a fun time and being positive :D But dude this fight is much easier with more hearts and armor with more defense!
Funny thing is some people played this boss and beat it without even trying, but it’s likely those are mostly the people who played breath of the wild first, because let’s be honest, anyone who’s play tears of the Kingdom, without knowing anything about it is going to get absolutely demolished
Doing blind playthrough I did this boss first, thought it was hard and died 3 times before going to get armour and some more hearts, came back with level 2 armour and 6 hearts made a big difference.
@@itsaducklin lol no sorry, should have been more clear. Was waiting so long for TotK that I avoided all spoilers and stuff for as long as possible so spent a lot of time making mistakes and stuff.

This was the second regional phenomenon I took care of, the first being the wind temple, so I only had tulin, I went from the easiest temple straight to easily the hardest and did it with only 2 deaths(against queen gibdo) because riju takes so long to increase her radius
It was only on my final cycle of her that I realized that if you struck her with the riju electricity while queen was bones she gets stunned. Managed to one try her, but was real miffed and annyoed the whole time lol. Besides that love her goofy ahh evil villain walk lol.
It took me a minute to realize Riju was basically needed for this boss too. I did the other bosses with little to no help from the other sages. that being said, I still haven't beaten the mothman yet. Lol
Bro Im still so glad I never did this boss 1st, 2nd or 3rd. Fun fact you can destroy the hives with bomb arrows. Having a basic lynel bow with bomb arrows makes the queen gibdo boss fight like a walk in the park
I did all of the dungeons before even fighting my first lynel. And I was very underprepared with arrows, I had not learned any bow tricks you could do that could possibly have made my time easier with the gibdo. I also learned that this boss is straight up IMPOSSIBLE if you run out of arrows. I’m sorry, but riju is straight up useless if you don’t have arrows. In other temples, the sages are actually required to defeat the bosses, you could beat the boss without them but they actually make the process far more easier. The lightning temple on the other hand, is very different. The boss is, no joke, easier if you don’t use rijus ability at all. I am not waiting 10 whole seconds for her lightning range to reach the queen gibdo while it’s laser beaming at my feet, when I could just bomb flower/shock fruit + arrow at it and beat it way faster. Riju as a sage is so incompetent, in combat she’s so slow even when she has a reaper type weapon. I don’t know how people consider her the best sage when she’s just… so weak. Her lightning doesn’t even do much damage which is such bs😭😭😭I truly wish she was actually better and more useful, but I barely even used her in her own temple.

And for the fight, I did it first try 💃💃🕺🏿🕺🏿 I mean I’m super paranoid about being full health in this game so every time I was taking damage I would eat until being full….. Also, I got very unlucky(well, not as you did ofc)at one point, when 2nd phase started and gibdos hives opened, I had 4 arrows left. Hmmm I'm glad I did this one last. It's easy when you upgrade your armour and learn the mechanics of the game. My first boss was colgera and I had the same level of armour at this time. I would've struggled too I think.
I managed to beat the Queen Gibdo fight first try (although it was close) by attaching a mirror to my shield which blasted her with light from certain angles, which definitely helped. I also set loose three attack rumbas (homing carts with construct heads and flame and beam emitters) which helpfully took care of the other gibdos and then aided a little in finishing off the Queen. I went here almost immediately after Lookout landing, his guy had better items than me and health.. About 10 arrows during the fight and beginner weapons, best one 30 and most of them 15.
I actually had a bit of character arc when doing this mission, i thought that the Mirror Zonai was useless so i had like a bunch of Mirrors in my inventory. I died once to the Queen Gibdo, then left and got the Fierce Diety Set, procrastinated forever, and then game back with level three attack up food, the Great Eagle Bow, a bajillion bombs, Farosh Horns, and beat her in less than 2 minutes. Literally the proudest I’ve ever been of myself and it was an epic boss fight. I didn’t take out any Gibdo Hives. I used a spring on my shield and bounced up and just kept shooting bombs at her till I was out, and then I used Farosh Horns to finish it. So awesome. I also was kinda underprepared because I decided to go straight from Tulin and Rito Village to Riju in Gerudo Town Somehow I had more trouble with Phantom Ganon in the tree but it’s fine

I mean this in a good way btw love ur vids 🤗
And he only cook 1 dish just to replenish himself , and he's complaining about fighting the boss but yet he's the one who went to battle unprepared.
That really is “the easiest boss fight ever.”
Imagine using mirrors to reflect light over the course of the ENTIRE dungeon, figuring out that light hurts Gibdos, and then not using a mirror to reflect light at the Queen Gibdo 🤣🤣🤣
I went here almost immediately after Lookout landing, his guy had better items than me and health.. About 10 arrows during the fight and beginner weapons, best one 30 and most of them 15.
I found this fight easy cause i had good resources and i did this fight really late but for you it was different anyways great job
i did it too late so every enemy was extremely overleveld for me
you should heal more often. just a tip 😂
That’s what happens when u have almost all of the story done and having this must stuff
Oh and also bad gaming chair
i love the korok part it was funny lol
I actually had a bit of character arc when doing this mission, i thought that the Mirror Zonai was useless so i had like a bunch of Mirrors in my inventory.
But then i realized i could use the ceiling light in the boss room to my advantage and i dropped a pile of mirrors in the light. It was actually OP
Too good I did it first try as my third sage but you did really good
Him:awasome gaming chair but has 29 death
Me:beats Queen gibdo in 3 tries
12:12 he just forgets that rewind exists 😂
Queen gibdo:I'm the strongest
It took me 72 tries! Good job
12:10 wait you actually did the correct thing for the puzzle here by collecting the broken pieces?
I just dropped my worst weapon and connected it to spin it
i should probably stop watching this so i dont get spoiled, but i just cant for some reason
have you tried fusing gibdo bones with arrows?
I love it when people charge j to the boss fights with almost no health or stamina and then wonder why it’s so hard 😂 like bro it’s a BOSS fight, you’re supposed to power up first (I say this with all the love, good job beating it with no hearts)
Haha now that’s some awesome work
I died once to the Queen Gibdo, then left and got the Fierce Diety Set, procrastinated forever, and then game back with level three attack up food, the Great Eagle Bow, a bajillion bombs, Farosh Horns, and beat her in less than 2 minutes. Literally the proudest I’ve ever been of myself and it was an epic boss fight. I didn’t take out any Gibdo Hives. I used a spring on my shield and bounced up and just kept shooting bombs at her till I was out, and then I used Farosh Horns to finish it. So awesome. I also was kinda underprepared because I decided to go straight from Tulin and Rito Village to Riju in Gerudo Town
Somehow I had more trouble with Phantom Ganon in the tree but it’s fine
the bravery to fight him with only six hearts
Her*
"there's no shrine in the village" bro there is 😭
When I finally beat Queen Gibdo i swore at Queen Gibdo i questioned my existance
I am happy not to be the only one who died 20+ times on this boss😂😂😂
Gosh me too.. Especially since it was my 1st boss almost immediately after Lookout landing.
@@Neobjectsout of all you chose to do the gerudos first😂 rip
I don’t blame him for not finding the Gerudo town shrine. It’s not in a spot that one would notice.
As a person who dies an unfathomable amount of time to queen gibdo while she was one shot.. I feel your pain.
Soapy I feel your pain. I ended up completely rage quitting cause I wanted to turn my Nintendo inside out and twist it backwards. I actually died more than 50 times(yes I was counting) and I rage quitted the game in tears😭😭
Hey a trick you could’ve used is that a bomb flower will destroy the hives
"Whose idea was this?" The Zelda "traditional dungeons w/unique boss fights" diehards who needed to just buy an OoT or TP remaster vs. griping about the Ganon Blights in BotW. Nintendo gave those jerks what they wanted: more "enemy variety".
You can thank the people who wanted ReDeads/Gibdos (got these Gibdos), Floor Masters (turned into a set of abominations that make players pine for the GUARDIANS (themselves reworked LoZ 1 Beamos)), and other classic Zelda monsters (damned Gleeoks) back.
YOU RE TELLING ME THERE WAS A LIGHT??? I COULD HAVE SAVED 4 TRIES
It's worse- the Mirror Shield he had in his inventory could have pointed the light at the swarm and the queen for elemental effect.
This might trigger u but fuse a mirror to the shield when you’re in the second stage, go into the light use the shield and just hunt down gibdos
There is 1 shot protection in the game, if you have full health and something that should kill you hits, you are left on a quarter heart
You just somehow did that puzzle in the exact way I did it
Queen Gibdo took me two tries, but Mineru's construct battle had me loosing my MIND like this
The construct battle was easy, I beat it in like 2 minutes, just had to use spike balls
When you’re in the riju boss fight, take out one of the hives and stay in the light. Beat her on my first try with four hearts.
*Me who did this as my first, and afterwards being terrified of the other bosses:*
dang this guys good
My first main place was gerudo and I can confirm that queen gibdo is pretty hard.
Her sand beam is OP af if you are less than 10 hearts. She can one-hit you easily, be it beam or her charge attack
