This is my go to commentary when I want to find the essential message of The Old Testament that The New Testament is emphasizing or highlighting in a particular passage.
Thanks for the video! If you have the New Testament Theology from G. K. Beale it would be great to watch a review too on Theology Thursday. I am thinking to buy it, but I would like to know first the main points in the book. Since you are a specialist on this kind of video I think would be of a great help.
This commentary is on my wishlist, I have DA Carson's John commentary, I don't know Greek, that's ok. I keep plowing through. Could you review Lane Tipton's Foundations of Covenant Theology? Thanks again.
Can you also review the Handbook on the New Testament Use of the Old Testament by the same authors? What are the differences? Can you do a comparison of the two? Thanks!
Hi, I will consider that for a future video but I can explain the difference now. The Beale/Carson volume, as seen in the video, is a commentary. The handbook, which is just Beale, is about hermeneutics. In other words, the handbook isn't explaining verses and passage, but helping the reader understand the principles for interpreting New Testament passages that cite/reference Old Testament passages.
I have this one. I haven’t had a chance to use it yet. I was browsing a used book store and picked it up . I couldn’t let it go for being only 3.50$ I almost felt guilty getting it for that price. The editors of the book tipped me off to looking at it then the price well I have it now 😆 Blessings
@@patriothippie5881 I have found a few good resources in used book stores especially near christian colleges here in phoenix. Take a look you might get a pleasant surprise Blessings
Good video! Thanks! I will be picking this commentary up at some point, and your information is a major factor.

I just released a video this morning on two theology books from Beale and I think I talked about the one you mention here.
Will you kindly do the editor's "Dictionary of New Testament of the Old" and compare?
