Thank you so much! We saw your 'Yes I Can' tugboat in Gravenhurst and it was amazing. Loved your video from beginning to end! You put a lot of work into your little tug and into this video. Much appreciated!
Thank you for the nice comments. I had a great time with this little tug, but sadly, it has now been sold. We moved out of Muskoka and it was no longer practical to keep it. Someone living on the Ottawa river bought it, but I have no idea what he has done with it. I sometimes watch this video to relive that experience and I’m glad I made the video. Glad you enjoyed it as well 🙂
@@HeliSimDriver Must have been very hard to let it go. It brought many wonderful memories back of that day and how much we enjoyed seeing your little Tugboat. So wonderful for you now to have these great memories!
You made a very nice job of the tug and the video I in fact built a all steel 26 foot tugboat / fireboat in 1975 powered by a 135 bhp Commer TS3 two stroke diesel and she did just shy of 20 knots.
I will ask my son as he has all the archive pics etc now they did at the time have it in the local press and on the local tv news with video as it was the only purpose built rescue and fire boat on the Norfolk Broads.
You had a choice to stop watching it. I made this video as a souvenir for myself and I don’t really give a damn what anybody thinks about it. So, thank you for your astute comment. I’ll make sure to consult you if I ever decide to post another video. 🙄
Nice little boat! Much better than the one seater people seem to like building! Two things- A small air compressor with a air horn would be wicked! No one would expect it! What's with the animal sounds with the starry sky?
These sounds are not from animals, but rather from Loons which are commonly heard in most lakes in Canada and other counties. www.hww.ca/en/wildlife/birds/loon.html
The ending, lol hilarious❗ Was that a jetski type engine and thruster? Awesome boat, looks very smart and really well built, you have skill. PS. After checking your links I found the answer to my question. It's a little hull with wings ha❗ Now the ending makes even more sense❗ 👏😊 ★★★★★
Thanks for the kind, thoughtful comment. I was not aware this was supposed to be an instructional video for your viewing pleasure. All this time, I thought I published a video I created just for the fun of it, but obviously I failed and forgot I was obliged to educate anyone who watched the video. Apparently the description I posted as well as the reference to Flickr for some construction pictures was not enough to satisfy discriminate viewers like yourself who are looking for a Spielberg production on UA-cam.
@@HeliSimDriver that made me laugh. Love this video. We are in N Idaho. There is a thoroughfare that connects the lower and upper Priest Lake. Reminds me of that. Thanks for sharing. Loved the music too
Wow, pure heaven on earth you have there. Love your tiny tug, wonderful job❤

Four minutes in and I'm wondering what the boat you built looks like.

Nice boat, I am building one. How did you install your gunnel and rub rail ?
can it push other boats?
Well, this is only a tug boat look alike. 😄
I've been in this beautiful area in the summer but I don't think I'll like to visit this place in the winter.
awesome boat !
Thank you!
I love these designs, but I'm not too fond of the bit at the back.
Why did you have to ruin it with the music

@@HeliSimDriver I'm from Saskatchewan
It would have been nice to learn about the boat instead of some chintzy boat ride.
