This was faster than the weed wacker canoe and actually seemed markedly more practical. that thing had speed, power and balance! I kind of want to see you enter a fishing contest like that. You could even put the battery UNDER the milk crate for more space.
Looks like your power head is 180 degrees off ! Get a weedless prop basket on it and a keel would make wonders ! Make a few of them and rent them out for $25 a day w a $300 deposit ! Win win ! Very cute ! 👏😂
Yeah a few things were wired backwards in this thing, also my "high quality mounting" started to slip so the motor was slowly rotating itself off to one side. If I can find two identical motors my plan was to have twin power pods and steer with differential thrust.
Im going to get one.. Fill the underside with expanding foam and then shape it like a hull of a boat them fiber glass the whole under side with a few layers and sand it down and paint it. Rig it up with a trolling motor and 2 or 3 rod holders and use it to pond hop
You would only look silly if you weren't wearing that hat. OMG I just recognized your testing area. I used to sit in that parking lot on my lunch breaks and smoke. Super weedy but a good fishing spot.
@@saveitforparts Take 36 towards Stillwater to Manning Trail. go north 5 miles to Square Lake Trail. Go east to Square Lake. Its a large spring fed lake which is crystal clear - perfect for snorkeling, scuba diving, and swimming (best beach in the cities). Bit of a drive but a much safer test area for the eventual/inevitable Monorail Submarine. BTW its a Washington county park so you need a Washington county park sticker or pay for parking.
Oh man, now I'm not even sure what it said... probably my to-do list for the day, I think it's Bench, Pond, Load Boats, Ar (Arrrr? Not sure on that one!), Bird water, and Boots? At 5:04 I at least have PFD on there :-D
@saveitforparts okay, yeah. That's what I thought. Well I saw one dude filled that crevice with those little cheap plastic kids balls, something like what you jump into at the carnival or whatever. Pool noodles good too though I might have stuffed it nearly entirely with pool noodles then spray an inch or two of that foam. Anyways worked out in the end, did you end up fixing the controls?
@@saveitforparts and that work turned out great! And it almost seems practical to boot, if you attach a couple of netbags to the sides i recon you could do some fishing in it. Can't imagine why you'd want to do that but still.
Brilliant, all I need is a grandchild to cover for my making it for me and a "tuggy" sand pit as we call a sand box in Australia where I have never seen such a toy. Looking for alternate starting "craft" ideas. Anyone?
I LOVE it. If you had a shallow pond at Sandland? And if the bloody Minnesota government comes to it's senses (see a later video on Tuggy)? I would consider making a few of these things and let people ride 'em. ☮
I can still move it around myself, but it's definitely heavier! It's been sitting on a trailer all year since the DNR won't let me do anything with it, I need to turn it into an RC boat or something.
@@saveitforparts thanks for the info, I just got one for free and am in the process of using 2 part polyurethane spray foam to fill the bottom voids, ive only had it for 2 days now. I'm excited, I'm in Wisconsin so I'm sure the DNR won't like mine either so eh... small lakes and creeks may do haha
Don't try to register it in Minnesota, the DNR hates these! I added extra foam to mine, since it was barely big enough to float my 200lb rear end, and the model I had was hollow on the bottom. A traditional tiller trolling motor might also be better than the electric-steer model I used, mine just wanted to spin around constantly :-)
Lol, in Texas anything with a motor, gas or electric, would be required to be registered. So if I built one it would require a registration sticker and number.
@@saveitforparts Yeah I just watched that video, that's the government for ya, always raining on somebody's parade. Please keep up the good work and don't let the pencil pushers get ya down.
With this Level of duct tape usage, Red Green would be proud.
The child inside me is 100% jealous
Total build including registration is like 300 I just ordered the boat and trolling motor yesterday for mine 😂 I'm so hype
When you first launched I knew we were about to hear helpless off-camera giggling. It did not disappoint
As Fedor Vladimirovich said, "This is the ideal boat. You may not like it, but this is what peak spinning performance looks like."

And now I'm trawling the free ads for a tugboat sandpit and a trolling motor! Great work,
Watching this channel has got me eying the dumpsters around town.
A toy parrot on your shoulder would have been even more hilarious. Great video.
Yeah and said parrot needs to be quite large and on a slant flopping around on said shoulder...
😂Yes!!!!! 😂
You sir are a good captain! You went down with your ship and rebuilt her. Poseidon is having a giggle.
I want a t-shirt with Tuggy! And maybe a drink coozie.
I can’t wait to watch Tuggy make the trip down to Lansing, IA. Ok, maybe just seeing Tuggy go through a lock would be more than enough.

Might be your most reliable waterway vehicle to date!
You've been pumping out the content the past few days and recently. Thank you Broski. I always enjoy the videos. Keep up the great work.
Most brilliant ideas and best content on the interwebs right here.
I don't understand how you don't have twenty-five million subscribers.
That thing is absolutely ridiculous. I love it! Keep on doing awesome stuff!
This has to one of your BEST videos. I'm over taken by its joyfulness if that is a word. 73 Leo

That was fantastic! We so need more Tuggy adventures
"do you believe in standards? No? You're hired!" Lol
may i suggest you look up "the modern major general"
Happiest tug boat captain,in the world!
This is the best trend I've seen in a while to be honest
Surprisingly Successful Job! And I'd like to suggest a name for this tug boat- "WTF-NO WAKE Please".
I really enjoy your channel, your style is very unique. keep up the good work!
You sir are a hidden gem
Removing weeds by hand from the prop of a badly wired craigslist motor - priceless.
15k subscribers! Nice work.
Im not going to lie this is 100% living the dream of the Rugrats or something lol love it
I want to see somebody wave back, this was hilarious.
Cracking job. All you need now is some kinda track arrangement to turn it into an amphibious tug ... type thing.
...the background laughter is wonderful...
This is just great thank you for sharing this with us all to enjoy. ✌🏽😁
You would only look silly if you weren't wearing that hat. OMG I just recognized your testing area. I used to sit in that parking lot on my lunch breaks and smoke. Super weedy but a good fishing spot.
The weeds here are my nemesis for almost every stupid boat project. I think I've had milfoil stuck in every motor I own at this point.

@@waltersvg Interesting! I thought all MN lakes were muddy and opaque, As soon as I moved here I gave up on SCUBA diving and sold most of my gear :-P

Beautiful! One thing though, seems like the horn is broken, may need to rebuild it, it should be way loader, but this cracked me up😂
That was amazing!! You should test it in the 🌊 ocean, make it unsinkable with bouyus on its side.
Fun enough for what you need it for eh. Great salute as she sank!
dope video brother looks so fun i want one
Every kid in the world would want one of those.
We thought you were going to install one of those new V12 outboards on it! Well, maybe not! CHEERS from Canada
I was considering putting a gas engine on it next, but the boat licensing people are already unhappy about this... follow-up soon!
The duck boat in the magnificent film le Roi et l'oiseau has a jet!!
This is amazing, I’m very jealous
That looks like fun ,my cousin had one I wonder if it worked as a toy boat.love from England.🚅🚢💗
How does this not have more views?! 😂
hahah, sweet conversion. Looks super fun.
What is the thrust lbs of this motor? What do you think is the minimum thrust lbs power required?
Is duct tape adhesive seal air tight
?
Sort of... until it gets wet and falls off :-P

What lb thrust is your trolling moter
It's a Motorguide 320, I think 37lbs thrust with 12v battery.
imagine this pulling up to the bass tournament

How many cans of foam?
I don't remember offhand, I think 4 or 5 maybe?

Damn guys... Somebody, please, I need a Tuggie now!
Gone down with the ship!
It think it was a great choice to subscribe to this channel
I bought mine today, May 2023. Mine had the lid so I'm flipping that over to help with boyency
Awesome!
You would give grind hard plumbing a run with tuggy . Captain
And now I want one too! 😩
The Tuggy version of the titanic.. Good thing it's not frozen...Or deep...
1:20 The flex tape guy wants to know your location
Ballin.
Posts another video with sirens in the background. I'm thinking this my not end too well.
Time to do a transatlantic crossing and get a world record.
Silly, but GREAT!

Yeah, same here. If it's under 10ft and human or sail powered it doesn't need a sticker, but motorized anything does.
Well, at least you looked cool doing it lol
I saw this coming
You need a CB radio so you can talk to other tug boats 😂
Finally, a use for divorce plastic.
Looks good!
Send it to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington D.C.
(Ask for Jill)
Name for your boat warp factor 10 lol 😂
Use tuggy to make a mold to start selling a body/hull kit
Well ,you should have a fun and interesting life.
Somebody get this man a Popeye pipe! Toot, toot.
so cool😃
"This is silly" No this is great baby's first boat, think about it your kid wants a boat? here ya go, small, safeish, and cheap.
According to the state boat icensing bureau this is illegal and unsafe 😂
