Turbo Nytro vs Turbo Pro RMK

- Having a little fun dragging up a hill to see the difference. It isn't in deep powder, so they were hooking up good. Nytro is a Impulse standard kit on 15 psi with KMOD gen2, camp extreme 2.5 162". Pro is a Silber turbo on 10 psi, the rest is stock.

What i see is two nice turbo machines.but i know one will last long and one will break down soon...
Yea the Polaris
Difference between Nytro turbo vs two stroke RMK turbo is the two stroke motor will have 3 or 4 rebuilds before the Nytro needs one. The Nytro sucks to maneuver in tight spots but it goes like mad and reliably. I have a mcxpress 270 hp Nytro and I'm never going back to a 2 stroke again.
Cory Turner that's right
Rmk turbo are two strokes is that what your saying?
Hope your still beating the mileage on that turbo nytro Cory!
and I'm stuck at the bottom with my touring sled...
Nothing beats the Yamaha Mountain Lite 500 ha
That's because the Polaris would grenade if it ran 15 pounds of boost under any circumstances. Even 10 pounds is pushing it in that Pro. The engine won't last long.
The Nytro will run with 15 pounds of boost for 10,000+ miles if it's set up right.
Yamaha for the WIN
i realize Im kinda randomly asking but does anyone know of a good site to stream new tv shows online ?
@Carter Lucian i use FlixZone. You can find it by googling =)
Same two sleds less elevation Polaris stomps the nitro
Nytro rocks!!! Best sled overall. Go Yamaha!
You mean the most ill handling biggest pile of shit ever 😆
@@WhiskeyRiverRifleman whiskey is affecting your brain to much cause they haul ass anywhere and everywhere and are the best dam sled on the market
@kingdixon96 That is wrong.you are talking about the dumpvalve.the wastegate adjust the set boost by passing through a waste direct into exaust, when to high.
i miss the nytro. i wish yamaha would have came out with another generation.
They Have its the sidewinder
@@randylee2549 no he means a nytro generation
I love the Polaris's no buts about it.. LOL But I just love when the Yamaha's take the lead in spite of their weight. I've had both but have found myself back on another Yamaha :-) Yamaha Is about to release another Game changer in the very near future.
Most viewed nytro video in 2021 good race
Both really nice sleds but the yamaha clutches do engage really fast off the start.
Did you go for the boost-it system? And if u did, was it worth it?
thumbs up for yamaha Apex or Nytro
I ride a cat, but I think the nitro is the bomb! Unbelievable power and reliability for a turbo.
I just bought a silver turbo kit for my pro haven't put it on yet tho how do you like yours?
That RMK would out climb that Nytro any day... they dont call it the Rocky Mountain King for nothing.
ur funny... nytro is just much better at everything
Nytros are good for going up and down.... not for going through trees and... doing real boondocking
If this were one 2 feet of powder, hands down pro rmk would've won. That was basically no snow so just like dragging on ice.
fucking rights
nytro is not better, it is good in track if your back can take that speed, I mean it is too front balanced so it handles bumbs bad at slow speed and it is good if you drive at full speed, and in out tracks it cant be even compared to rmk, even rmk is even worse on track than it but in powder it beats the nytro 100-0
Awesome
nytro just wasted a rmk
Whats that gurgling sound on that polaris when ever you start to take off
@NytroFTWmcxbaby How did you get your sled over 100 pounds lighter than stock?
Wooosies !!!!
Yammies ftw!
There's no comparing the 800's to these Turbo 4 strokes. BUT the 1000's (and even poos 900) turboed can keep up all day and still have 50 lbs on the 4 strokers.
Turbo 4 stokes and 1000's are for the mile long climbs and drag racing. They would have kept making the 1000 class 2 strokes but Doo and Poo screwed them up royally and AC wanted a motor that they made in-house.
listen here little man, I have a summit 1000 and i garantee you my sled destroys both these. And BTW ski doo didnt screw them up. The motor is bullet proof. The electrical wiring was the issue. And with about 20$ of wiring and a case of beer i can tell you it is no longer an issue.......these youtube mechanics......
Chill the fuck out man I basically said the same thing.
ximer21 I had a 1000 summit and it was a fuckn tank my 800 xp would eat the shit out of that thing and that was all before my mcx nytro and now that I have that I'm never going back to that 2 stroke cap no comparison.
+-Tq- My stock 800 Polaris SBA blows the hood off my buds switchback 900 with minor goodies. In a long pull up the side of a mountain, the 1000 two strokes might get you another 50 yards up the hill realistically. 4 stroke turbos are great for torque, they just weight ungodly amounts and make anything but chute riding a pain in the ass.
they are way too heavy in powder...
They're just incredibly heavy. Turbo's are fun, and they pull hard, but ive ridden them a couple days and they wear you out fast.
Yamaha is way heavier, but impressive to still take the W
thats why he has a polaris 2-stroke turbo :)
I used to have a 08 Yamaha nytro turbo stage 2
...You do know you can get the nytro with MCX turbo kit with warranty from the factory rated at 180hp.... after that its really simple to up the power. Super light and 4 stroke dont get used in the same sentence generally, also Yamaha is not a company to sacrifice build quality and longevity for a couple extra pounds. They are an awesome sled.
random question because I cant find the answer online, what is the maximum log you can put on a ski doo MX LT 1989 without having to move the chain case?
in pitch, size, area/radius etc, therefore giving different volumetric efficiencies of air. ex) a small turbo and a big turbo "are both running 7psi) the larger turbo (assuming it is capable of flowing more air) would make more power because @ "x" psi it moves a greater volume of air per given unit of time..... good luck though
1:37 and there goes the skidoooooo
What can is on that white and blue summit?
you are wrong.the 2strokes have a higher air-fuelratio.4stroke have 14,7/1 and 2stroke up to 20/1.
More than welcome to shred with us some day. I live in Nelson BC. Sledding thirty years NP> But im more into sledding than fucking with cameras. All I wanna do is sled rather than ok im ready is the camera on. Those days truely suck. But maybe next year ill get a go pro. But any extra 5000 I have usually goes into my sled.
I sold it because their wasn’t much snow these days in Saskatchewan
fancy
YOU ALL ARE FORGETTING THAT THE YAMMIE IS RUNNING 5PSI MORE OF BOOST TOO!
matthew Kidd and the 4 stroke weighs more than the 2 stroke
It is very sad that Yamaha don't make compressor and turbo sleds. I think that they should make a super light Apex version with big bump capacity and compressor. WITH NO WARRANTY! With a list price of 20000 USD. And a counter part for deep powder. Finally one with 136-140 inch track for super trail performance and very stiff suspension.
as you think that yamaha is so heavy, then he is probably allowed to run at a higher boost pressure then the polaris, since it is heavier than the polaris,so i think that it's fair that yamaha is running 5 psi more then polaris in terms of weight ratio of the 2 sleds?? who agrees?
wheres the video?
rocky mountain king
go yamaha!!!
nytro are best
dynos show they are quite simular on hp.p-139 and y-136
these drag races make me laugh , there all nice sleds ,they all climb to the rocks ,they all get back to the areas lol were else is there to go .boils down to which one you like the looks and sound of ,and who gives the best deals and service .if yah boost the shit out it itll climb anything as long as you have the guts . happy riding wish I was out there
Nytro is the most reliable sled on the market. Get a turbo then its the most reliable and the best in the mountains and on the trails hands down.
you might run 14.7 (stoich) @ idle in a 4 stroke. I highly doubt you would run a 2 stroke leaner than a 4 stroke. And at WOT i would love to see you try and run a boosted 4 stroke let alone a 2 stroke at anywhere near those AFR #'s... I used to do alot of work with boosted 4 strokes. at WOT we were tuning for 11.3-11.8:1 @ WOT. Never fooled around much with a turbo 2 stroke though, if anything I would think you would want even richer because there is less time to disapate heat in a 2 stroke.
They sure dominate now
I think yamaha should make 2 strokes like they used to.
So... many... variables... dictating the results of this race lol
I now I got a Polaris Indy trail 1996
And regardless of your argument, you are wrong, In a naturally aspirated engine, air is drawn in by the piston at atmospheric pressure, which is dependent on altitude, humidity and a wack load of other stuff. its is relatively known as "psig" or the absolute pressure. So if my atmospheric press is est-14.5psi..then with a turbocharger you add another 7psi, theoretically you would be using 21.5psig. That being said every turbo is spec'd out differently.....
RMK
not to mention weight, with the yammy being a 4 stroke.
Me and my friends can boon dock ANY sled anywhere anytime. Nytro , elan 250, M8 , Dragon, RMK , SRX 700 triple, R1 you name it, Doesnt matter. After thirty years of boondocking in BC we can go anywhere on anything at anytime. And if yall do not believe, come on down we will go riding. Sure a 153 M8 is more nimble than a NYTRO but you can still roll the NYTRO or any other four stroke into a balance point NP. Some day ill post some photos. More of a sledder than a camera man.
i bet that polaris would climb to the top stock whereas the nytro wouldnt
i'd buy a 2-stroke aswell... (had to make 2 comments? lol)
that is totally relevant to the volumetric efficiency of the turbo, which judging by what you said... you do not understand.
Aww i c
Ruined a lot of good snow coming down
get in some deep powder and have fun pulling out the 4 stroke
polaris all the way my opinion i will ride all but id take and indy or an rmk over anything
no they dont, there is no difference naturally aspirated. Atmospheric pressure is the same to both a 2 stroke and a 4 stroke... its boost that makes the difference. boost... you have the same power at the bottom as you do at the top (with in reason, obv there is less oxygen at 10,000ft that 2,500). On average N/A you lose 3% of your power for every 1,000 feet of elevation.
Just like Glamis but snow not sand! haha
So do we go on 3 or is it 1 2 3 go? Lmfao my brother and me say that all the time
well im sure stock for stock the popo would have won
No two stroke will beat a 4 stroke 1000
2 cycle engines are out dated Polaris are sow far behind I had Polaris for 13,years and switched to Yamaha best thing I ever did
Sad to see the 4 stroke beat the 2 stroke :(
Yeah it's pretty fuckin immature isn't it. Personally I've owned and rode everything but a cat and liked them all. What it boils down to is that we ride what we prefer... Well maybe that's just me LOL
dam 4 strokes id rather sound good then snound like im takeing a shit on the mountin
Apex & nytro: reliable, heavy & so ugly!
2 strokes 4ever
❤
its funny when guys try and defend nytros, when yea they have a shit load of power, but thats because 99% of them have to be turbo'd because they are so damn heavy, they are great in a straight line, but try maneuvering with them and they get to be a pain in the ass, or get them stuck have fun digging out the heaviest sleds in the market, i understand where there part of the backing up comes from I'm just saying unless yamaha can learn to get their machines lighter they won't be like other sleds on the market
snowking907 I don't even know why Yamaha hasn't learned from AC that if you have a 4-stroker it needs to be lighter. I've driven the Polaris FST 750 and that was a heavy pig of a sled. Yammies must be impossible to move on your own.
+snowking907 because theyre made for grown adults
s who can monouver a sled lol
+Dan Tate my '01 SRX 700 will smoke all these sleds on a groomed trail and is a rocket on a lake
guy proulx as much of a AC guy I am, my Uncle had an SRX 600 with triple pipes once, and that was a fucking rocket. Sounded sweet too.
I would an older yammie triple in a heartbeat, not sure about the Nytro tho.
to all polaris lovers out there.... YAMAHA are bigger, better and stronger than an pro rmk. both of the sleds have turbo, so dont say the nytro won because it had turbo! the nytro are hevy, i know that but it floates mutch better on the powder than the rmk. JUST because it are wider than the pro rmk. BUT the rmk are a mutch funnier sled to ride, :D
dont be dumb "Nytro is a Impulse standard kit on 15 psi with KMOD gen2, camp extreme 2.5 162". Pro is a Silber turbo on 10 psi, the rest is stock." its right in the description, of course the nytro would win, now pump the same boost out of the rmk with the same track and see what happens, what turbos are on them? that makes a difference too because one may spool quicker than the other which could show you the 2 sled length off the line like we saw..... bleed blue all you want just dont make yourself sound like an idiot with a lack of knowledge.
that`s true.. :P But, Yamaha are best all the way home! ;)
kizig18
i dont think you could pump 15 psi into a Polaris reliably. you'd be blowing blocks all over the place
Yamaha may be nice for long open area climbes. I would light one on fire after riding a pro in technical terrain. As for 'blowing blocks' shows you have no idea what your talking about. You will blow up everything else before you explode an engine block.
Not sure where you ride at but in colorado you hardly ever see a yamaha because they use a wet sump 4 stroke.
Well, if you want to climb for example there is nothing that beats a yamaha turbo, modded apex with 400+hk is simply the kings of climbing. But imo a nytro turbo is so much more fun then a 6-800cc 2-stroke, a modded nytro with say, 270hp (my current sled) is simply hilarious. lifts the skiis everywhere. and if u buy some leight-weight stuff, u can get them down to pretty much the same weight as the 2-strokes, but with over 100 extra horsepowers. But if u wanna ride a stock machine
Since when were we ever offered a stock MCX from Yamaha? MCX has no connections with the Yamaha motor corporation. MPI and Push do, get your facts straight.
its just a straight hill but when u go to steep and deep the rmk wins chos its so much lighter
sure......and blown gear and belt.
Let polaris go and count to 3. Then pin it. Yamaha for the win.
My Yamaha rx1 beats yo all
Oh come on! :O why not all the way up? lol it looks like a fun ride... go polaris baby go!!!! lol
@NytroFTWmcxbaby I got a sled that will eat a nytro turbo
@thatperfectkid my ass
Thats 2 stroke? LOL
The nytro is 4-stroke rmk is 2-stroke
2 strokes put out more HP than 4 strokes, 4 strokes just have a lot of Torque
that pro needs a little different clutching..... :)
I know it's an old video, but for new snowmobile guys, a 4 stroke turbo will destroy a 2 stroke turbo psi to psi, which seems odd, but that's how it works. So the turbo nytro being a lot faster up a low snow hill should be expected. That said, a nytro is the biggest piece of crap 4 stroke of the rider forward era. Don't waste your time or money on a nytro. Guys who love them don't know snowmobiles. They are fan boys. The 1200 and the viper were 10x better at everything
go polaris and doo
lost. hahahah
To bad there 4 strokes
Thunder cat 1000 would be that shity Yamaha
Really? So tell me how many speed records Cat holds? Lol. None. Yamaha owns them all
hahahahah.you have read to much now....if you are running those numbers it gets to much fuel.you need to read more!!!! :-)
My dads GTX got better throttle response than a yamaha!!
bad spelling man
....and the skidoo is way behind lmao
welderteach like always
