Will be giving the territory a oil/filter/cabin filter change this week, thanks for the video mate
Most welcome mate, and thanks for watching the vid 👍
I like to fill half filter with clean oil for start up always done this 😊
Yeah filling the oil filter with oil during a service is done by many. I've had a few cars where this is impossible simply because the filter is upside down, so I haven't bothered mostly.
Thanks for the video mate.
No problem 👍
another brill video my favourite job to do on a car
Thanks mate, appreciate your support 😀
Check the oil capacity spec in the manual again, mate.
Did I get the oil capacity wrong?
Yep. There're must-do circles around a used car after the purchase.
New oils new fluids alignments checkings..
Preventative maintenance.
And, as always: this Falcon Ute kicks @ss! :-)
Very easy to do, and you learn a lot about your car 🙂👍
Your old man can do that to.👍👍👍
Clever old man 👍
Hey mate, my XT falcon is fully dedicated lpg, would it be okay putting in the 15w-40 semi synthetic oil from Penrite ? It said it’s okay as an alternative in there website but it had recommended the same oil as what you’ve put in. I’ve got about 330,000kms on the clock if that helps
Yep you should be okay mate, go for it.
It did say 6.6 litres oil wet and 7 litres dry
Thought Ford Falcon 4.0 AU-BA-BF takes RYKO Z9 or Motorcraft AFL 1 Then from FG -FGX takes RYKO Z516 or Motorcraft AFL 101, K&N 2010 Gold, K&N HP-2010 performance Gold, and Repco ROF - 80 / ROF80-S ? On my FGX I take either K&N Gold 2010 , K&N Performance Gold HP-2010 and Repco ROF-80 to the garage, OEM Motorcraft is a Hit and a Miss, never used Repco Z516.
Thanks for your comment, good suggestions for others to consider 👍
Can also confirm that this filter I used fits the BA/BF Barra.
Hi Erick, well done, as always 👌☺️. May I ask you a question? Does it ever happened to you to notice that the oil filter was leaking from the seal, after replacing the old one and after not many kilometres of driving the car? I tell you so, because it always happens to me, so I have to screw it a bit, to stop the leakage Thank You
Hi, yes it usually means that the oil filter needs to be tighter. This happened to me once, now I make sure to screw it on tight. Also, lubricating the rubber seal is important 👍
Ok☺️👍 thank you mate.
@Giacomo Puglisi welcome - thanks for watching as always 😀
I've had that, it turns out the rubber O ring got stuck from my old filter and I double stacked them when I put the new one on, it's an easy thing to forget but always make sure you aren't leaving the old rubber on there
👍👍👍
