Yes, mulberry is know for being messy in general. The berries litter the ground, and can stain sidewalks, roofs, cars, etc. The birds also eat copious amounts of the berries, and then have purple poo 💩 The Hicks is one of the most prolific mulberries, producing as much as 4 gallons of fruit a day during the peak season (once fully mature) - at least according to legend. An incredible resource! But potentially a huge mess if planted in the wrong place.
