I like how Brock's killing powers cropped up early in his life and COMPLETELY DERAILED his expected life path. It's both a blessing and a curse. And also, thinking about that, it also shows that even the most together person in the show is still, in some way, a failure.
I too thought Col. Hunter Gathers was making a joke that Brock is 1/4 Winnebago like he’s so big, he’s like an RV….and to learn it is a Native tribe was AWESOME INSIGHT! Thank you for sharing.
I totally concur! I thought the exact same thing! I just thought Hunter was making fun of his size. I had no idea that there was a tribe called Winnebago! That was awesome to learn!
Perhaps in the future but for this month I'm doing Brock, 21, Dr. Venture, Dr. Orpheus, and Hank. Honestly don't know how I'd talk about Hatred's past without getting in trouble with UA-cam...
Great video! I've been a big fan of the show since the pilot and I really love the devolopment of Brock. As funny and cool as he was in the beginning, it was really endearing to watch him care about or struggle with things. His whole backstory with being a tool of a paramilitary organization and having no idea he was being lied was really interesting. Also, I tend to love cool characters more when they're coolness is subverted to give them some kind of depth (my fave Molotov moment is still when we finally see how she dresses in everyday life). Also, I liked them giving Brock some irrational fear of the supernatural, as it helps him contrast Doc better and fits his more instinctual, natural humanity. Like, yeah, he's pretty jaded after everything he's seen and has killed a lot of people, but he still won't murder an army so Doc can sell venture-steins to the government. Respect for and fear of everything Doc's been pissing on for decades is a good way to have two characters have an entertaining arguement. There were so many great Brock moments over the show, but I think "I could dodge it :)" is my fave Brock moment.
Bohemian Rhapsody is a pretty awesome song but I've always been more partial to the songs they played for the Highlander movie, Princes of the Universe and Who Wants to Live Forever
you ever notice brock really likes Greek women? first it's those two women from Spanikos that have his children and then it's Warriana. I mean he clearly likes other women too but I guess he has a thing for Greeks
Necro posting on a dead thread but....if Doctor Venture from his college days already knew Brock Samson by name and by sight, why did years later he act like he didn't recognize Brock when Brock first appeared as his body guard ( scene with Brock smoking a cigarette in the lab where the Dean and Hank slugs were kept in suspension ) ?
With having just plowed through the show again twice after not having access to it since having lost adult swim, I am feeling quite lacking in vb content so this will be a good fill.... till I watch all your stuff.
It think we see his brother in the movie. He is a parody of the punisher. Red suit with skeleton on it lol 😆 the guy knew dean was blocking his van and he didn't leave the apartment
I feel the same way you do when someone says Brock is their favorite, when someone says something like Charizard is their favorite Pokemon You just gave me the flavourless answer, the answer that rightfully offends no one. The Politicians answer
Brock is pretty bad at his job though, he lets the kids get killed all those times, never finds their bodies when the Scooby Dooers killed them, and in the first show, he lets the kids get kidnapped by Speedy, and no less than 5 henchmen, while Brock himself gets 'killed', although later brought back to life by Dr V. By that stage, he knows they are clones and he gets himself killed by running head on into an armed group, with no weapon of his own.....
Also season 6 is nothing weird, he has been chill w lesser freaky supernatural threats, the screaming ghost must have been pretty easy considering he was already pissed, he had just woken up when the poltergeist thing had started which is something unlike amything he's ever dealt with
Started as an objective history of the character and devolved into a rant about how too many posers like d Deadpool..i mean Brock..because of his mainstream popularity without being TRUE fans. Hm..an entire channel deadicated to one series with tons of explicitly long and overly detailed videos about it..ok, yep. Fanboy red flags check out!
Hi, welcome! The majority of my videos are segmented to have an objective part at the beginning with a little personal story/subjective bit at the end so if folks don't care they can get their facts and move on. Also, I think you may have missed the point of the subjective bit. The point was I USED TO be kind of an elitist about people liking Brock but I've grown beyond that and try to be welcoming to all fans.
@BillTheSpill I was joking a bit, and I guess it kind of went over your head, but that touches on the other point..you may THINK you come off that way, but it gets super uncomfortable when you just passionately rant about it. I comes off as uncomfortable and then it feels like you are suddenly trying to cover for the out of place toxic behavior afterward. I don't think you re as social or self aware as you may think but it's ok. You are clearly an obsessed person who takes things too seriously so I'm jsut going to block you and avoid your content anyway. Good lucky to you. Bye
I'm a blunderer! Brock left college for the Marines and joined the OSI later! Thanks to my lovely patreon patrons for catching that mistake!
Brock’s the best, Patrick Warburton did an amazing job voicing him.

"I FORGIVE YOU, BROCK SAMSON!"
- A Henchman
"Men write him love letters and women name their vibrators after him."--Gary's recap of Seasons 1-4, on describing Brock Samson.
2:54 he also takes the Monarchs' fking car.
With the number of bodies he has dropped ,I would be nervous of ghosts
Awesome video. Are you gonna make videos like this for all the main characters? I’d love to see one of these for Dr Orpheus and the Order of the Triad
I'll be doing these character videos just for the month of April so I picked a few random characters. Orpheus is coming in a couple weeks!
I love this! I've seen videos like this about Simpson characters, and I'm glad the Venturverse is getting the same attention.
Great video! Hope to see coverage on sgt. Hatred! I feel like he has alot of development and traits that aren't always noticed
Perhaps in the future but for this month I'm doing Brock, 21, Dr. Venture, Dr. Orpheus, and Hank. Honestly don't know how I'd talk about Hatred's past without getting in trouble with UA-cam...
Proud member of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska ❤❤❤
Awww man. I thought Gathers was making a RV joke as well since Brock is so big. I had no idea...
He says he is going to join the Army and then Hunter mentions him being in the Marines.
These are great!

Brilliantly said!
Brock is a perfect example of a static character. He doesn't change all that much, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
No one points out how Brock becomes way less of a psycho after season 2. I mean the guy beat the shit out of Manstrong when he touched his shoulder
Bohemian Rhapsody is a pretty awesome song but I've always been more partial to the songs they played for the Highlander movie, Princes of the Universe and Who Wants to Live Forever
You forgot the poker night 2 that Ash character is Brock long great grandfather
He's my favorite character because he most likely grew up in the same neighborhood that I did
you ever notice brock really likes Greek women? first it's those two women from Spanikos that have his children and then it's Warriana. I mean he clearly likes other women too but I guess he has a thing for Greeks
Very clever to go from a main character who barely changes to the character that changed the most on the show.

Perfect analogy
Lot better to prefer the pop hit than nothing at all because you can't place your favorite character 💀
. . . Dr Orpheus is my favorite character, but Brock rocks

It takes a bit for the venture bros to grow on you
I can’t freaking wait for the movie.
You and me both, brother!
Did you hear it was screened a week or so ago?!?
@@ChiLLium9 I did! I'm freaking pumped, but I still think we've got about a six month wait.
The most rabid VB fans are those that grew up on Jonny Quest. It's hard for everyone else to get all the refs. (I is rabid.)
