We did that in 2010 with Maverick at dusk, for our 30th anniversary - it was great!

Not something I can see spending the money on again but had never been to the Grand Canyon or in a Helicopter so knocking off two bucket list items in one shot made it worth it to me

This is an awesome video! Im born and raised in Las Vegas and have seen everything you can in the southwest, but for some reason I have never taken one of the Maverick heli tours of the strip or Grand Canyon.. this makes me want to do it now!! thanks for sharing a great time!

Great video, coming to vegas next Feb and this is a must do. Did you book whilst you were there or would you suggest booking in advance?
We suggest booking anything you really want to do ahead of time and this for sure would be one we would book prior to arrival in Vegas. Have a great time!

How is it even a question
I do have a fear of flying that I am trying to work through. Advice?
No fear of flying so hard for me to compare but honestly it felt 100% safe and stable the whole time. There is an inside seat if you are fearful of being by the window but if you don’t want to look out I would probably recommend driving

We were in the backseat there and back and still enjoyed the view. The iPhone is pretty impressive honestly as long as you use the real camera. We have talked about a GoPro but decided to order a Canon Mark ii to upgrade our video, hopefully we can figure it out 😆

Hey Josh & Rachael, Gr8 video thnx. I'm still confused about whether I take a Heli tour or the Bus tour. I really do wana see Pat Tillman memorial bridge & I wana walk around the Hoover Dam, sky walk

I would say if you want to walk at the bridge and do the Hoover Dam this will not satisfy you. it really is just a fly by of the Dam and does not go to the bridge. The bus will take longer but fill your needs better. thanks so much for watching

Planning to Visit US this autumn with my family. This video is really informative. Just wanted to know the name of any hotel which has a tie up with the helicopter operators.
This company has deals and pickups for any MLife resort and maybe others. We were at Mandalay Bay but others on the bus with us were staying at Aria and Bellagio

We did not eat before hand mostly since we got picked up so early. We did not feel sick to our stomachs at all so don’t think it’s a must but if you think you might get queasy it would be a good idea to grab a roll or something. We definitely were hungry when it was over though of course 😋

I’m sure you can ask - they let us rotate seats if we wanted, but we kept our original seats on purpose for ease of filming!

Honestly, not sure! We know we passed the walkway bridge well before we landed! It was one heck of an experience!

We tipped $40 if I remember correctly. Feels appropriate since they basically act as a tour guide and pilot
Did you think it was worth the extra money to land on the Grand Canyon? I'm debating on whether to go the cheaper route and book the helicopter without the stop. Thanks!
We had never been to the Grand Canyon and Josh had never been to Arizona so for me it was worth it since it checked a few items off bucket lists. Also we used $125 off coupons from MyVEGAS app to help with the cost. Oh and neither had been in a helicopter so to check off all those things it was worth it but totally understand if the price scares ya

Thanks for detailed video. To be very honest, the surroundings after you landed were a little underwhelming to me. Viewpoints in south rim provided more diverse scenery. I am now having second thoughts of spending $500 😅😅
It definitely is not the most perfect setting after landing but you are paying for ease and time. One thing that was great about the setting after landing was how quiet and peaceful it was. We don’t regret it at all - hope you enjoy it!

How many other people were on the helicopter? For such an expensive price tag, I wouldn’t want to be clustered up with 6 other people per helicopter
It would be nice if there were less but it was 8 total people in the helicopter - it is fairly tight.

I saw that you commented that there were 7 people onboard…does everyone have access to enjoy the views?
The view is definitely best for the 4 up front and 2 by the windows in the back but they did rotate who sat up from on the trip there and back to try to allow for all guests to have a great view
Can you take the helicopter with just me and my wife also will they pick you up from hotel
Not sure if they do that - would probably need to pay a pretty penny to just be you and your wife. They do pick you up at your hotel with a shuttle bus
