I was pleasantly surprised to see that James mentioned the origin of the contour first trick and how some of the trends are not new. It's always nice to see people giving credits :)
I think the lipstick hack's key is that her liner was high contrast to her natural lip color/base. Then, hers wasn't very blended and she used a lipstick that was close to the natural color. You did use a decent contrasting liner, but when it was blended out before the lipstick, the contrast didn't remain. Keeping a very stark 'highlight' in between the areas of liner would definitely help the effect.
also i think the girl the video didnt apply lipstick on below contoured area for the shadow to be seen
yeah she didn’t use a lot of lipstick she dabbed it on. the lip combo is definitely supposed to be more liner heavy

I love the eye look he wanted it to be faster. It's not about speed, it's a fact that some people might be new to make-up and are learning different ways of doing it. I know as a fellow Gemini we expect people to be on the same page, but you also have to understand that there are new people in the makeup world and they are learning, and some guides like the eye curler trick help as a guide for placement. ILY James, but take a seat where someone is just starting out and sitting in their shoes for a second. We all know you are an incredible make-up artist but try to understand from someone learning from scratch too. Everyone starts from 0 and fails and learns to be better.

I loved this video! Your videos are always entertaining. Could you do a video (or videos) where you show how to contour and apply blush to compliment different face shapes? I have the hardest time with my face when contouring or applying blush (I have a rounder face)😁
