All banana puddings are good. This is also my classic recipe. I made one with pecan sandie cookies and it was out of this world. I am sure many different cookies would work. I too use the vanilla wafers. Texas fan
This is your Classic Cream mixture. You can also make a Banana Cream Pie using this with a Graham Cracker Crust. Great by putting over some fresh blueberries or blackberries in a bowl for an individual dessert. Lots of uses. Thank you Talli Faye for your version. I use my mama’s which is very similar as well.

To keep your banana's from turning dark pour a fourth cup of lemon juice dip your banana right before you start laying.
I use cornstarch instead of flour in my recipe. Do you think that would change the flavor? Great old recipe. Thank you.

1. Add one extra egg
2. Use cornstarch instead of flour
