Hi Sophie, just found your channel and I love your content 🥰🙌🏽 I am a student nurse in the UK in my senior year and I document my hour ey in UA-cam too! So I LOVE finding new channels around the globe who are on the same journey as me to become an RN but what I love most about it is seeing how different the journeys are to the same destination! Loved this video and I can absolutely confirm that blue light glasses are absolutely a necessity! 💙 new subscriber here 😄
Hi Faye, I'm so happy you enjoyed the video! It's so lovely to connect with you and I hope your studies are going well! I hope you have an amazing day :)
Hi, so I watched quite a few channels on here and could not really find the answer, so here it goes: after the standard clinical rotation, do you get to pick any specialties? If so, how many? I read that you could pick your top 3....if that is true, and there are too many requests for not enough spots, do you get picked based on your grades? Thank you for your time, and good luck!
Hi! I think you’re referring to the capstone clinical during the final semester/quarter of nursing school? In my program, this means we are assigned to an RN at a hospital in a specific unit. We basically work alongside them during their work shifts for every shift for 10 weeks. I know for my accelerated program, we list our top three specialties when applying for capstone, but I’m not 100% sure how we’re assigned. I start my capstone in June, so I’ll probably talk about this in future videos! I’m sorry I don’t have a concrete answer, but I’ll find out more in late spring :)
